Colleen Lopez of Colleen Lopez Events sits down with Cole and shows why she is the premier event planner in the Inland Northwest.She has some incredible insights on life, and comes with a deep history of working in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She was once the fine dining manager at Beverly’s, but followed her heart and quit to go on a 2 month honeymoon excursion with her husband. In fact they both quit their jobs with no idea what her next endeavor would be until one of her childhood friends called her in a panic about her wedding day. That’s when she stepped up to the plate and offered to be her point of person the day of her wedding. It was the response from her friend when she exclaimed “you know people will actually pay you to do that” when she had the AHA moment and started her business the next day.

“NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE IN” is the war cry from today’s guest who spent eleven years working in the energy drink business where he learned a lot about building a business. He was part of the explosive growth and very in tune with how the owner of Rockstar Energy Drinks created one of the largest privately owned companies in the US. He was a part of that. In episode 47 Tom Morgan, founder of the Lake City Bicycle Collective sits down with Cole to talk about how he came to starting the non-profit which provides 300 bikes and counting at no cost to kids in the community. In what started as noticing bikes in disrepair at clients homes, Tom found a need in the community that falls right in line with his passion of bicycles. There are hundreds if not thousands of kids in our community that don’t have bikes, who are left out when it comes times to jump on their bike with their friends. “Not only that a bike is a great form of transportation without having to deal with the burden of a car.” Says Tom. Tabitha comes with a deep history of working with Boys & Girls Clubs all around the Northwest. She was once the director of Operations with The Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County,  and recently started following her greater life’s passion in helping nonprofits and businesses with fundraising, PR, and marketing all while maintaining a balance in life that keeps a smile on her face. Apart from her business she runs marathons, volunteers all over the place, teaches fitness classes, and still finds time to play on the lake.. In a years time she has grown her business by 500% and is making a huge impact in our community. That and much more inside.

Rick, who comes from a long line of military officers, could be referred to as an “Air Force Brat” and has lived all over the country. After finding himself virtually unemployed in 2008 he and his brother came up with an idea while spending their days skiing at Schweitzer. On that chairlift Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters was born. Ever since they have inspired communities and have begun creating a lasting legacy that makes each of our local communities a better place to live. Today, they are considered among the top roasting companies in the country by their approach to quality, connection to producers, and strength of team values.

In Episode 32 Danica Gilbert, the proud new Owner of Slate Creek Brewing Co. goes in depth on what it means to her and the community to be able to re-open the doors of what she called a hard break up. For Years Danica put her heart and sole into Slate Creek Brewing starting as a Bartender, then a Rep, and continued to work her way up to Manager before Slate Creek closed it’s doors.
