Saving money is hard when buying food, especially if you are switching to a whole food vegan diet. I know this because buying food is the biggest expense my family has. I try and track my food spending and it gets to a point at the end of the month that I just go Fuck It i've spent too much money this month on food, and I just dont want to worry about tracking the cost anymore. Most of the time I stick to in season fruits and veggies because they are always the cheapest. Buying peaches and nectarines in the early summer is way cheaper than buying them in november. But I have my cravings and foods that I like and I sometime spend more money than I should on fruits. So where do you start, let's say you've decided to switch to a whole food plant based diet and you are trying to stick to a budget, what are some of the things you can do to cut down on cost at the store. Eating vegan, or whole food plant based may seem daunting but its easier than you think. Shopping for whole food, is as simple as shopping in the first place you walk into at the store, the produce section. This has 80% of the food I eat and it supports my lifestyle in a way I never thought was possible. There are days I simply purchase all my food from the produce section and roll out. So in this episode I discuss how buying food and eating a vegan diet is easy and I introduce some ways to make small adjustments to your meals to hopefully move you to a whole food plant based diet. Rebrand, So I am changing things up for my third podcast. It may seem kinda funny to rebrand after two podcasts, but sometimes you realize quickly what you're doing doesn't feel right. But what I was trying to create was difficult and didn't feel like me. So I changed it up, the podcast is now going to be simply the Cody WK podcast. Simply me, nothing fancy just my crazy ramblings about health and balance. The podcast will still focus on health and nutrition but it will be as long as it needs to be, five minutes, twenty minutes who knows. So Here it is episode 2 the do-over.

Happiness, what does it mean how does it affect the rest of your life. Striving for happiness is not the easiest for people. Looking for a happy ending isnt easy and hoping to find it is even harder. So what is happiness? How do we attain it? What if I told you it wasn't attainable, what if I told you it wasn't a state of being, I know sounds crazy. Happiness isn't your car, house, or money. Happiness is moments, moments that allow you to get from day to day, and helps you make decisions that are good for you. Happiness is great when it comes, but what happens when it does not. On the podcast today, I talk about how happiness can be attained in small amounts, but you have to continue to work and improve your life in order to continue to find moments of happiness.
