Cloud Evangelist Podcast - Ep 93 - Richard Stiennon talks Cloud Cyber Security
Joining me on the show this week in London is Richard Stiennon, one of the worlds top cyber security analysts, Forbes.com columnist, former Gartner analyst, best selling author, one of the most in demand security analysts on the speaker circuit. To get this sort of time with Richard you'd usually have to open your chequebook and take a deep breath. A good friend he gave me time to record this show as he was over at Kings College London having his thesis for his latest degree accepted so yesterday we sat down and got a microphone out. We talk life in Cloud post Snowden, what CiSO's need to be aware of, how to engage with a Cloud provider, we paint best and worst case scenarios, key encryption, how to build your security practice. Getting to cloud using sensible best practices. You'd expect nothing less from me, and Red Hat. Enjoy and spread this show. A lot of people need to hear it.

Cloud Evangelist Podcast Episode 92 - Mark Cox talks latest SSL vulnerability
Today there is a new vulnerability in the OpenSSL libraries that is being patched affecting the latest shipping 1.0.3 version of SSL and we wanted to get the story straight. I broke the Heartbleed SSL story to the press in a controlled diligent manner via Stephen J Vaughn Nicholls at ZDNet last time, this time I wanted to put a proper wrapper around this so when you read the story in the press you have the EXACT info. And if you don't it's because the journalist writing the story didn't get it right and listen to this podcast. Joining me on the show today is Mark Cox one of my oldest friends in Open Source and Director of Product Security Engineering here at Red Hat.

This is one of the most important shows I've ever released. This affects cloud, it affects innovation, education and our children. Don't turn it off - listen to the end. We take a lot for granted - now it's time to stop and think

Cloud Evangelist Podcast - Ep 82 - Back to the Well - Larry Augustin
So back in the day I started the UK's first ever Open Source support company that was soon swallowed up by Linuxcare in San Francisco where I worked for 18 months in the late 1990s. Then came along Jeremy Allison, he of Sheffield Uni / Samba fame who persuaded me to join VA Linux in Fremont where we worked on technologies across the Linux spectrum. The guy who was CEO of VA Linux and who found the money to create Linux.com, Sourceforge, Slashdot, Freshmeat, Thinkgeek etc etc as well as all the stuff you DO NOT think about, the salaries of the folks who created most of the SCSI and RAID technologies we relied on, NFS, Samba, a lot of the early Linux kernels was my guest today. Former board director at JBoss of course, director of Linux International, Appcelerator and many others. It's actually more Cloud than you'd think - listen and find out why - join me in saying hi to Larry Augustin, CEO of SugarCRM and my friend and mentor of 15 years standing.

A great podcast putting the facts on the table about community and upstream
