Update On The “One Funnel Away” Challenge
Nicola’s well impressed with the training inside the Clickfunnels “One Funnel Away” 30 Day Challenge. it’s inspired her to gather all her amazing Money Gym training together and create an awesome offer to celebrate the Money Gym book going onto Audible after all these years. Well, fingers still crossed for the final bit of tech to be approved but she lives in hope. Just got to figure out how to get the BUY buttons hooked up to her Stripe account now… If you want to join her in the Challenge visit https://NicolaCairncross.com/onefunnel Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. Hello, welcome the vzine this week, it’s Nicola and I’m back. And it’s a very quiet afternoon around here because all the people from the houses opposite have gone off to the airport and the new lot haven’t arrived yet so I thought I’d seize this opportunity to record the parts of the vzine. I’m also recording something very exciting for a launch I’m doing that you probably know if you watch this vzine regularly I’ve been doing the 30 day, One Funnel Away, ClickFunnels challenge, and I’m doing that in order to launch, relaunch The Money Gym book, and the reason I’m doing that is because I’m that close to getting onto Audible. I’ve recorded it years ago and I’ve just been chopping it up and editing it and making it really pristine but I had to top and tail it and do lots of little things like put one second room noise at the beginning, it was three to five seconds room noise at the end, and those kind of jobs drive me absolutely crazy, but it would’ve taken longer to instruct someone on how to do it rather than do it myself. So I forced myself through the pain, I’ve submitted it twice, and it’s been rejected, and third time lucky hopefully that they will like it. It’s all about the noise quality and the audio quality for Audible, they want, obviously, their people to get a really good experience, so I’ve just had to keep on with that until I got it right. So let’s get on with the show, shall we? Hi, it’s Nicola here and I’m back online. I’m back, oh my god, super fast broadband, it’s so exciting I can’t tell you when you’ve lived without it for eight weeks and you forget why everything, you rely on everything really, my TV comes in through the broadband and my telephone comes in through the broadband, so you really do miss it when it’s not there, but it’s all back, and I’m celebrating by giving this Facebook live today. I’ve been very aware of the last week that I’ve been promising you to update you regularly on how it’s going with the ClickFunnels, One Funnel challenge. And the reason I haven’t been in touch more often is because that A, it’s really good content and it’s making me have ideas for other bits of my business. So, although the first week has been like pre-training it’s all been about beliefs, your behaviours, your attitudes, what makes a winner, how people, sharing success stories to get everybody going, and it’s interesting because quite a lot of people have been complaining about that, they want to just get stuck in and get started, but the problem is, if you don’t pre-warm people up and get them really excited about what they’re going to be doing, the minute they hit an obstacle or a snag, they give up. Those people who just say, “Look I’m sick of all this, I want to get stuck in, “I want to get straight to it,” they’re the first people who drop off when they hit an obstacle or a snag, because they’re used to asking for help and they haven’t been fired up enough about why they’re doing this in order to push through the obstacles and the challenges they will invariably come across. The real reason I’m here today specifically, is we’ve gone into the first week of actual training and it is extremely good, I can’t tell you, the whole thing is very professionally run, as you’d expect from an organisation that’s turning over billions of dollars now. The other thing that’s really impressive, before I can tell you about what made me come online right now, today, is that there’s a lot of people who are trying to find holes in this. Now there are people who are trying to say, “This is just like multi level marketing, “or it’s a pyramid or whatever, “people are just selling click funnels to each other,” and the reason I’m so 100% behind this is because you can go through this challenge and never actually purchase ClickFunnels’ products themselves. I strongly recommend that if you’re looking for a step by step plan on how to take your expertise and knowledge online, or even if you don’t have a product or a service yourself or expertise, I would seriously recommend you take this challenge because you do not have to actually but the ClickFunnel stuff. I was fully intending not to do that, I was fully intending to use what I’ve got already, which is Thrive Architect and Drip for my email, and Thrive Cart for my shopping cart. All of those things are really really good tools, but they actually do add up in costs, and I’m not convinced that I’m saving much money by not using ClickFunnels, and I certainly think it would be an awful lot easier, although Thrive Architect does have some really really nice templates, you don’t know which ones are the best converting ones, which is something Leadpages used to do, they used to say, “This is our best voted landing page, “this is our best converting sales page.” So you don’t really know with Thrive which pages are the best ones to use, so you’re left to your own judgement , and I’m quite a laid back kind of person, I’m quite an introvert, although people wouldn’t think so, so I tend to go for the most classy and restrained pages, which I don’t think are doing my business any good at all. So, what ClickFunnels do, is they’ve got all these amazing templates, but they actually have put the whole funnel together for you and they say if you’re an information marketer then use this funnel or if you are a network marketer, use this funnel, or if you’re selling physical products, use this funnel, so they tell you which funnel is the best converting funnel, and I think that’s absolutely phenomenal. So I have made the decision now, that I am going to be actually signing up for ClickFunnels and using it, because I want the benefit of putting together my Money Gym funnel as quickly as possible, using the most effective funnel for this kind of product, which is a book. Today and now I come onto why I was compelled to come online today and tell you how good this is, and why you really need to get involved in this challenge. You can get involved up until the 18th of August I think, and I would seriously recommend that you look at it now. Go to NicolaCairncross.com/OneFunnel, that’s the word one and funnel together, all rolled together, and yes, it is a affiliate link, of course if you do go onto to invest in ClickFunnels I will earn a bit commission, but the reason I want you to go through that link and you don’t have to, you can just go to ClickFunnels itself and sign up for the challenge, then I will be able to give you extra help, ’cause I’m actually going through channels challenge, day by day myself. so I’ll be able to support you in those moments when you think, “Oh, I can’t do this, “or I don’t know how to do that bit,” or whatever. But here I am to tell you, get involved in the challenge, seriously look at ClickFunnels’ products, and the channel challenge, wait someone is going past. I’ll be down at the beach in a minute. That’s somebody else. Day two of week two, is absolutely phenomenal, it blew me away, and I’ve been online for over 20 years, that one bit of 45 minute training backed up by two other bits of training is worth the $100 you’ll pay to get involved with the challenge, it’s absolutely stonking, and I’ve sat here scribbling notes, I’ve realised what I could do to make my offer absolutely irresistible. I have talked before about how important it is, and my mentor, James talks about it too, is how important it is to get an offer that converts. But what you don’t realise is that by adding things onto your original offer, complimentary things, things that enhance what people are buying, but by adding them on at the point of purchase, you can make your offer absolutely irresistible, and that’s what I’ve been missing. Again, I’m a bit laid back, I’m a bit, don’t really like to do too much stuff that’s right in your face, but I’ve been selling myself short by doing that, and by not making an offer that’s absolutely irresistible, I have obviously missed out on lots and lots of sales. Now I’ve done all right, god, you know, I’ve done all right, don’t get me wrong, 21 years plus earning online entirely, but I wonder how much money I’ve left on the table. Anyway, it’s the most brilliant explanation of how to put together an offer that converts I’ve ever seen in my life. Even if you’ve got a product that is selling okay, I guarantee that investing $100 in this training, this one funnel challenge training, and getting to week two, day two, it’s a four week training, so there’s more to come I’m sure, I think that you will really be blown away but what you’ve seen in that training, in that video training. So that’s why I was compelled to come online, give you a bit of an update, tell you I’m still doing it, I’m still going through it and you can still join me. So got to NicolaCaircross.com/Onefunnel, that’s two words joined together, Onefunnel, and I will help you as much as I can, because I’m just a little bit ahead of you. So not too late, join up now, fantastic value, absolutely loving it, and see you inside. So on the blog and the podcast this week? Well as you know, OwnIt at the podcast is taking a bit of a break, and Clicks And Leads podcast continues but it’s pretty much an audio version of this vzine, so if you’re watching the vzine you don’t need to listen to the podcast. But there are a couple of new things on the blog this week. One is I started to write my origin story in a way that was sort of based around the hero’s journey, and I did that because I wanted to create something that I could use in Facebook ads without Facebook ads shutting me down again, which was, you know, always a bit of a cat and mouse game really. So I wanted to create something really vanilla, but something hopefully that would suck people in. So I wrote a story of when we were sitting on the luxury yacht on Lake Las Vegas and how I came to be there. It’s working really well, I’m running ads, people are liking it, they’re getting a lot out of it, they’re clicking through to read more at themissingchapter.club, which is the link to go to if you want to see the story. It’s working great, so hopefully I’ll be able to generate leads from that, who I can then lead into either Clicks and Leads or The Money Gym, that would be really cool. The other thing on the blog this week is I found something that Frank Kern was explaining really really well, a problem that I constantly come across with my clients, and it’s called Why Build A Business And Then Keep It Secret? and that’s the name of the blog post, so if you got to the blog at NicolaCaircross.com/blog, you can watch that It’s all about how people put lots and lots and lots of money and effort into building their business infrastructure and then don’t leave any money to market it which is a common problem in real world businesses as well as online businesses, so the goal always, always, always, is to test your offer. In this week’s middle section, which you may have just skipped over, you need to go back and watch it because I explain why something really hit me very hard in the One Funnel Away Challenge this week, and it explained perfectly how to make an offer absolutely irresistible, because the offer is not just about your product, it’s about how you offer your product, how you bundle things with it that will help the experience of the purchaser, complementary products and services, and how you make it absolutely irresistible until someone goes, “Hell yes, I’ve got to buy this.” So go over to the blog, NicolaCaircross.com/blog, and you’ll find everything over there. One Funnel Away Challenge
Why am I getting involved in the Clickfunnels “One Funnel Away” 30 Day Challenge? Lots of good reasons and in this episode of the vzine, Nicola explains why she’s doing it and why, especially if you are over 50 and thinking about your retirement, why you might want to, too. Make sure to LIKE Nicola’s Facebook page and turn notifications on to keep up with her Live updates on how it’s going! Do that here at https://www.facebook.com/NicolaCairncrossUK/ Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Meditation For Business Solving Problems Without Complaint Prefer to read? Welcome this week to the Vzine. It’s Nicola here and I’m indoors because I’ve had several attempts at recording this outside and it just isn’t working. The heat is unbelievable today. It’s just the first day of August, and of course, it’s the hottest month of the year. I’m indoors with all the air conditioning going because I’ve had a dog visitor today. I’ve been looking after Wilfie, who’s a lovely Cocker Spaniel and I just thought it would be nicer for him and me if we were not stressed and not too hot and nice and cool. I’ve got a really big couple of announcements for you in the middle section of this week’s Vzine, so do pay attention, it’s a little bit longer than usual, but I think you’ll find it really interesting, especially if you’re over 50. If you’re a woman who’s been affected by the WASPI scandal, where six years of your pension have been taken away. If you’re a self-employed person who is a bit worried about what their pension’s going to look like because they may not have paid all their stamps or as many as they could have done. Or if you’re just someone who’s got a pension provision that you’re a little bit worried isn’t going to fund the lifestyle that you desire, I think you’ll find this middle section really, really interesting. So, let’s get on with the show, shall we? So take three, this is me explaining why I’m getting involved in the Clickfunnel’s, One Funnel Away, 30 day challenge during August and why I think you should too. I’ve just done two takes, I did one from the beach and it was too noisy in the background and also, my headphones stopped anyone being able to hear me for the first two or three minutes. And then I just tried to go live with my BeLive.tv software, which is really very good and let’s you do Lives from my laptop, but the internet signal was not good enough here. Haven’t had a good internet signal for about five weeks. Have to go down the taverna to upload video and audio, but I’m managing. Yeah, I’m on the phone to them everyday. They keep promising an engineer, but nobody’s turned up yet, so you just have to roll with punches, really. But nobody’s interested in my challenges. Then I just went Live a minute ago and luckily Marion showed up and told me that I had my phone slightly off in the side, in fact it was completely on the side. But I’ve just realised how to turn my phone vertical, which apparently is what everyone wants and hopefully you can hear me okay. And if anyone’s out there listening, I’d really appreciate a comment just to let me know that it’s all coming through okay. So, why am I getting involved in the Clickfunnel 30 day challenge? I was asked this on the Clicks and Leads Academy webinar call yesterday by two of my students who know that I always prefer my students to go with a self-hosted version on their websites ideally, to build their business on real estate they own effectively. So, you know, your own domain name, your own hosting, your own business on something you control. I would never say to someone, build your business entirely on someone else’s platform. So that seems to be a bit of a dichotomy when it comes to something like Clickfunnels. So why am I going to use it to launch the thing I want to launch in August? Why am I going against what I normally say? Well, before I explain all that and why, because there are some very good reasons why, is I wanted to talk to you about what I want to launch in August. In fact it’s relaunching something. I don’t know if you know, but the first thing I ever sold online was wealth coaching, essentially. Now a lot of people came because they wanted to become a millionaire, but actually, what the found out was, it was all about becoming financially intelligent. That’s what I was trying to teach people because I never had a clue about money and how money works and how some people were rich and some people found it such a struggle to even earn good money, let alone keep it and then invest it. So I was on my own financial intelligence journey. And as a part of that journey, I read everything I could get my hands on and I listened to everyone that talked about wealth creation. People like Robert Kiyosaki. People like Mike Maloney, all sorts of people like that. So I was learning from the best people about what makes a difference between some person who’s poor and some person who’s earning well and keeping it and investing it. And that grew into a book called “The Money Gym” once upon a time and it’s still there. It still sells happily on Amazon all day long and occasionally when Amazon do promotions, it gets to number one in random categories. But what I’ve been working on over the years is an audio version and that’s quite a job, I tell you. Reading your own book out loud and not sending yourself to sleep. So there’s the whole recording bit of it and then there’s the editing bit. Now that’s the bit that really sends you to sleep. And actually, I’ve had a half-edited version of “The Money Gym” for a long time. And it’s really now, only now that I’ve sort of sat down and really edited it properly because I want to put it onto audible. So I’m thinking to myself, so how can I launch this? How can I launch The Money Gym? How can I launch “The Money Gym” book again? How can I get it to the top of the categories that it’s in? How can I launch the audible version on audible with a good impact? I was thinking, I’m never going to have time to do this ’cause I’ve got my day job which is being a digital marketing consultant and doing Clicks and Leads Academy, which is sort of my main earner, if you like. But then I kept hearing about this WASPI situation and I kept hearing about these hundreds of thousands of women who’ve been affected by the government’s change in the pension time that they can retire. So lots of women who were born in the 50s, not me because I was born in 61. So I’ve always sort of known, I’ve sort of thought I was to be retiring at 60, but then it sort of dawned on me through the years that it would be 65. I don’t know how that happened. But there’s a lot of women out there who, for all of their working lives, have thought that they would be retiring at 60 and they’ve done all their pension planning accordingly. And I know somebody very well who is affected by this and they’re called the WASPI women. I don’t know what it stands for, but if you look it up, it’s hashtag W-A-S-P-I. And it’s basically, the Labour Government… That’s because I was pregnant with my daughter, they changed the rules. They just completely changed the rules to say that women who were born in a certain timeframe and they were born in the 50s would retire at 65 but they didn’t tell anyone. And you know, this makes me super mad, even though it doesn’t affect me. It is changing the goalposts, it’s so underhand and I’m really disappointed that that government did that. There’s one thing to be campaigning about here and to be protesting about it and to be running court cases about it, but while you’re doing that, you’ve got to have something else up your sleeve. And that doesn’t just go for women, that goes for lots of men, people like me who have been self-employed, people who’ve been at home looking after children and who didn’t get their National Insurance stamps kept up to date, and all that business. Basically, you can’t rely on anybody else to look after you in your old age. So what does that mean? It means that you’ve either got to get a part-time job. And you see lots of people working in places like Sainsbury’s and you know, stacking bags and perhaps that’s really good because it gets them out of the house and gives them a camaraderie and stuff. But there’s lots of people who’ve got fantastic skills, fantastic knowledge, fantastic experience. I had a client for a long time who’s a cement expert. Now what’s he going to do when he gets to retirement age and he… What’s it called, it’s called a… No, I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s a massive electro microscope. Costs hundreds of thousands of Pounds. And what’s he going to do when he hangs up that and stops analysing people’s cement? And he’s got all this knowledge about being a cement expert globally and he’s written a book about it. So, there’s lots of people who could write, and he’s been selling his eBook quite happily. And he’s a really good example of someone who’s got a really esoteric specialist knowledge who could be making money out of their knowledge. So, the options if you’re getting old and you need extra money, either to fill a shortfall in your pension are to get a job, to start a little business or to start an online business or to use one of the other two lanes of the wealth highway we used to call them. There’s four altogether. There’s having a business. There’s investing in property and earning property income, so rental income. Anyway, as I was saying that you’ve got rental income from property. You’ve got having a small business offline like sort of a High Street business or a service business in the real world. You’ve got having an online business and then you’ve got the stock market. Now lots of people can learn to trade, but the problem with the stock market as it is, which is why I’ve never gone ahead and learned how to do it, is because you needed a big pot of money to get started because every trade had to be backed by something. And, but there’s a new way now. So I’m going to tell you all about that later on. So, I feel very strongly that it’s a really good time for me to relaunch “The Money Gym” book. It’s a really good time for me to relaunch, to launch the audio version of it and I’m going to actually, launch a 12 week coaching programme in September, late September which will take us through to Christmas. Now I haven’t taught “The Money Gym” curriculum for, well a long time, since 2009 when the world went to Hell in a hand-basket with the credit crunch, and the crash, all the crashes. All the different crashes around the world. But the point is that the content is pure gold. It really is and it’s changed millions of people’s, no that’s a lie, it hasn’t changed millions of people’s lives, it’s changed thousands of people’s lives. So I’m going to be relaunching it all. Now I thought to myself, how am I going to do this? ‘Cause I’m not very good at really being organised and making plans, I’m not a very good planner. So when I saw the Clickfunnel’s One Funnel Away 30 day challenge, I thought ooh, that might be a good thing to do through August to launch “The Money Gym” stuff because I’ve got time in August, I usually do a podcast with Judith and I’m not doing that through August, she’s taking a month off. And the Write Club ladies who I also run a podcast for, we’re taking a month off too. So I have unexpected time on my hands through August. I don’t have any visitors til the 31st, so I’ve got a nice solid deadline there. Phoebe arrives, Pete and his wife and daughter arrive and Mathew and his, I think it’s his girlfriend, or best friend, I’m not sure which. They’re arriving all on the 31st, so I’ve got to get this done by then. And then I really like the look of the 30 day challenge. I work well when things are chunked down. I get overwhelmed very easily and I don’t know about you. If I’ve got a big job to do and I’m not a great planner, it’s fantastic if someone else has done the plan for me. I know roughly what’s going to be involved, but I don’t know exactly what’s going to be involved because I’ve never used Clickfunnels before. I put all my funnels together, and I have been doing for the last 25 years, using a website and a shopping cart and a mailing list and landing pages that I’ve either built myself or I use Lead, but Leadpages for a long time. And I have to tell you, every single landing page I’ve built myself since, has never converted as well a Leadpages landing page. There’s something about the way those pages look that make people really love them. Okay, so why August, why a challenge? Oh, the other thing is, lots of other people have done this. They did the challenge last year and it changed countless people’s lives and I think that that’s as good a reason as any to follow a successful formula, don’t you? If other people have done it and succeeded with it and got something going they wouldn’t have otherwise, it’s probably good enough for me to be able to follow the system and really do it and get “The Money Gym” wholly relaunched again. Okay, so why Clickfunnels? This is getting to your question Nicki, if you’re still watching. Because I know that it’s a really good bit of kit. I know that it’s got limitations, every bit of kit’s got limitations and I know that, um, there’ll be things that perhaps, if you did it completely best spoke, you could do better, but for most people it’s a very good solution of all the different parts you need to build a funnel. Why do you need to build a funnel at all? Because people find it easier to buy from a well-constructed funnel. They want to see on the pages, all the reasons why they should buy and they want to see, what’s the word? Benefits and they want to see features and they want to have their objections overcome because people want to buy something that was going to move them from one place, which is unsatisfactory to another place which is a better place. And you’ve got to make it easy for them as the business owner, as the marketer to do that. And I believe that I’m going to get my whole funnel built much, much quicker if I follow a system. I’ve only got 30 days. ‘Cause on the 31st, they’re all arriving and we’re already in August, so it’s not even 30 days. My god, I’m behind the times already. We start on Monday and if you want to start then, why don’t you just go to NicolaCairncross.com/onefunnel and you will find everything you need there to get started. It’s going to cost you a few dollars to get in and that’s going to be for all of the tuition that we’re going to have through August and then at the end of it, you can either just become a Clickfunnels affiliate if you love that whole system and you want to sell it onto your mailing list perhaps or you can actually sign up for Clickfunnels and get your funnel Live. I’m going to be doing the latter. I’ve already been a Clickfunnels affiliate for a long time now because I’ve got a page on my website that brings a lot of people to my website that are not suitable for my Clicks and Leads Academy. And I marketer and/or get the tools how to become an effective affiliate marketer and Clickfunnels have been paying me commission for that. And that’s one of the things I’m very happy to recommend Clickfunnels because they let you become an affiliate without making you pay for their stuff. Which is totally different to a lot of other companies out there, you can just become an affiliate. But, if you want to launch a funnel, a marketing funnel, a sales funnel and get what your product or service or business up and running fast, then I believe that you could do worse than starting with the Clickfunnel system because you’ll learn how to become a more effective marketer as you do it. So that’s why I’m going Live. That’s why I’m saying that I think it would be a really good idea if you join me in this challenge and that’s why, if you do join me in the challenge, and you go through NicolaCairncross.com/onefunnel, then send me your receipt for the getting started pack and I will support you. Clickfunnels is a tool. It’s a software tool and I believe that those things make things easier for people. It’s also a skill. Now this is the thing, you’re going to be learning how to become a more effective marketer and you’re going to be learning how to put marketing and sales funnels together for pretty much, any kind of business. I use them with all kinds of business. If you look around my website, NicolaCairncross.com, go to my testimonials page and you will see lots and lots of businesses that I have helped using a funnel system, a marketing and sales funnel. And you know, it just works with everything, it’s just fantastic. And so you’ll be learning a skill that is transferable. You can either use it for yourself in the future or you’ll be able to sell yourself as an expert at building sales and marketing funnels for other kinds of businesses. So you’ll be able to become a very highly paid freelancer. So a good skill to learn. And then the third thing is that you would be able to make a business with it. If you’ve run a business in the real world, and you’re a woman in her 50s or 60s, then you’ve got all those business building and business running skills. If you were in sales before, you’ve still got those sales skills and there’s no reason why you couldn’t go out and start a marketing and sales funnel building business for all the other businesses out there who haven’t got a blooming clue about how to market themselves online. And then, inside the Clickfunnel’s community, you’ve got lots of people who would actually put it into action, so, but you’ll be able to build a really solid business, a real world business. Then you will have a way to create extra income in your life. You do not have to be a poor old person. Keep watching these Lives, I want to keep you up to date daily, ideally daily, on my progress with my 30 day challenge. And I’m going to be launching at the end of it. I’m going to be relaunching at the end of it, my “The Money Gym” book, “The Money Gym” audio and a 12 week “Money Gym” coaching programme. And I’ll only be doing that Live for the first time in September, October, November. And then it will be a programme after that because I believe there is no reason in this life for people to be poor. So, what’s on the blog and the podcast this week? Well, it’s the last week of a dual entry because we’ve got Vzine number 106, where I’m talking about meditation for business. So I talk about why I eventually took up meditation, what I get out of it, whether it helps and which meditations do I particularly like. And it’s becoming a hot topic, mental health in the marketing world and the startup founder world. So do check that episode out. Just go to NicolaCairncross.com/vzine. Then you’ll get to latest episode, which is 106. Also on the blog, let’s have a look. It’s Dust and Doldrums, episode 237 is on there. And I’m having a little bit of a moan because I’m finding things a little bit tough in that one. In the next episode 238, we discuss whether talking about our challenges is actually counterproductive, whether it goes against the whole law of attraction kind of thing, ’cause surely if you’re dwelling on your problems, you’re inviting more of the same problems. So we’re going to start switching up in the Own It podcast when it comes back after the August break. We’re going to try something new because we don’t like the idea that dwelling on challenges could be bringing more of them to us. I’ve got plenty of challenges this week. I’ve still got no internet for the sixth week going. The cosmatay are not even picking up the phone anymore. But then when I just give up and I go down to the beach and I just feel fine again, so, you know, I’m not dwelling in negativity. I’m just doing what I can to solve the problems and then I’m going down the beach when I can’t, which is a really cool thing to be able to do. So, check out the blog as ever, NicolaCairncross.com/blog. There’s going to be some really cool stuff coming in August because I’m taking part, as you already know now, in the Clickfunnel’s One Funnel Away 30 day challenge. And I’m going to be chronicling my journey on my Facebook page, my YouTube channel and the blog as always, so just check it out if you enjoy watching someone going through a 30 day challenge and finding out where they get stuck, where they overcome challenges, it’s a bit of a hero’s journey. Or it will be with not much internet, that’s for sure. So, thanks very much, see you next week. Meditation For Business
Five years ago I would have laughed if you had suggested meditation could help my business but I’ve gradually become a convert. This week I share my journey and recommend some specific guided meditations that help me enormously. As I did my 10 minute meditation this morning, Bitcoin went up so I got out of a trade in profit and a new client enquiry came in. Make of that what you will! Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases What It’s Really Like To Live & Work Abroad Dust and Doldrums Prefer to read? Hi everyone, it’s Nicola here and all the stars have aligned for me to be able to talk to you this week. Basically the camera’s charged up, my fringe isn’t looking too bad. I’ve got something to say, which is always a plus. It’s a not very sunny day in Stoupa today, which means that it’s quite quiet around here. Everyone’s, I don’t know, off doing excursions I expect. ‘Cause they can’t all go down the beach. You can probably hear the cicadas in the background. They never shut up, once it gets to a certain temperature. Anyway, no water, that’s the thing. But it doesn’t stop me. I’ve got internet intermittently, but no water today because they’re probably trying to conserve it ’til everyone comes home wanting a shower later on. Anyway, these are the things that are sent to try us. Living and working abroad. I like it anyway. Let’s get on with the show, shall we? So this week I want to talk to you about the power of meditation. Now if you’d have said to me, even four of five years ago, that I’d be meditating regularly, I would have laughed at you. Because I’m not that kind of person. I thought it was a little bit wooley and waffley and yes, it probably made you feel a bit better. A bit rested perhaps, especially if you fell asleep. But I didn’t really see what the point of it was. I tried it a few times, quite pleasant. Didn’t really do anything. Then I started seeing all these scientific reports that actually prove the power of meditation. I’m nothing if not swayed by a bit of scientific proof. So I started to use meditation myself. I started with a bit of Paul McKenna. Like his voice. He’s got some really nice guided meditations I really enjoyed. Yes, it was perfectly pleasant and I suspected it was doing me some good, in my brain somewhere that I couldn’t tell the effects of. Yeah so then what happened, then Steve died and I was looking for anything to make myself feel better. Even temporarily. I started listening to a Mind Value Meditation, by Vishen Lakhiani, called The 6 Phase Meditation. I really enjoyed that. It was really positive visualisation. It enabled me to start thinking about what life would be like once I got over the grieving period and what I wanted my life to be looking like later on. One of the things about grieving is you think you’re never going to come out of it and having a lifeline to cling on to, by power of guided meditation, about what I wanted my life to be like in the future. It really was a lifeline. It really did help and it actually made me feel better in the moment as well and the days I meditated, I felt better. Especially if I did it in the morning. ‘Cause I was less likely to fall asleep then. Then I definitely felt stronger, more calm, more uplifted, more able to cope. So I’ve done that for now, well it must be three years, two and a half years anyway. Recently, Judith has introduced me to something a little bit wacky but I would like to recommend it to you, because it’s non-denominational. She doesn’t talk about religion as such. It talks about the power of the universe. I’m perfectly able to cope with that, even as a staunch atheist that I am. So it’s Abraham and the power of Abraham. It’s Esther Hicks and it used to be Jerry Hicks, but he sadly died. It was Esther and Jerry Hicks and they brought what they call, the voice of Abraham to the world aAnd she’s channelling a bunch of spirits apparently. Now you don’t have to believe in that to enjoy the meditations. She’s very funny, she’s extremely down to earth and she’s got really good answers for a lot of life’s big questions. And the thing I really like about it, is it makes me feel so good. And Judith and I have talked about this a few times on the podcast. We’ve had two big episodes on the law of attraction and about how what you feel increases the vibe you put out into the world. And if you want to attract good stuff, you have to be vibing at a good level. You have to be giving off positive vibes to be able to attract positive things into your life. Because let’s face it, when you’re miserable and negative, nobody wants to know. So it’s a really strong concept I think that every time you feel things aren’t going your way, you need to sit and examine how you are and how your vibration is, how you feel and then change how you feel. I’ve talked about this quite a lot but the Abraham teachings are a really good practical way of changing your vibe. And there’s lots of it for free on YouTube. I just did a really nice one. It was the morning meditation and if you want then, just send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you a link to the video of that and you can get in to Abraham. As I say, very funny, very down to earth. It talks about this vortex, which is sort of basically a load of stuff swirling about around you. And how everything you want is in the vortex but you just have to get the right vibrational energy going in yourself to be able to attract the things you want. And at the very least, even if you don’t believe all the philosophy and concepts under it, it makes you feel better. Let’s face it, anything that makes us feel better in any moment, that’s got to be a good thing hasn’t it? I did a meditation this morning, a 10 minute meditation and while I did that, not only did Bitcoin jump in price. So I was able to sell at a profit and get out of my trade but I also got a Messenger contact from someone who I like very much, who wants me to become his coach for the next three months or so. So that is a pretty powerful, what’s the word? Proof, that raising your own vibration attracts nice things to you. So give it a go why don’t you. What’s on the blog and the podcast this week? I’m not sure if I’ve actually spoken to you for a week or two so let’s just run through the last couple of things. On the blog there is, What it’s Really Like to Live and Work Abroad. By the stage I recorded that, which is VZINE 105, I’d been without internet for about three weeks. Now it’s back on in the evenings and that’s quite nice. So I can watch TV occasionally. But it’s also not on in the daytimes and when it is on in the daytimes it’s only intermittent. It’s not strong enough to upload anything. So I still have to go down the Taverna, which means lugging my laptop down the beach with me, to upload on one of the Taverna internets. It’s a bit tragic really because I’m paying for super-fast broadband. But we won’t moan on too much ’cause if you watch episode 105, you’ll hear all about it in detail. On 104 just before that, I was talking about do your feelings control you? Or are you in control of your feelings? Why it’s so important to get a grip. But you already know that now because you’ve watched the middle bit of this vzine. Which tells you about how important it is to keep a grip. What’s on the podcast this week? We are getting some serious download numbers with that podcast now. We’ve doubled our numbers in the last couple of months. So we’re getting well over a thousand downloads every week. Which is rather marvellous. So last week episode 236, on ownitthepodcast.com/236, Clare Hanbury told us how she’s a long time listener. Hasn’t missed an episode and how she takes us to places like Africa, when she’s going on about her charity work. Her company empowers children to be the ambassadors for good health in their families. It’s a bit like their influences all spreading viral ideas, which help their families keep healthy. That’s episode 236, only at the podcast. Before that we were talking about on Episode 235, we were talking about property as a business. Because I was explaining to Judith about how when you buy a property out in Greece, you’re not really looking for capital returns. Although it does go up slowly over time. You’re looking for a rental income a lot of the time. Or to save yourself money on holidays indeed. Because saving money is as good as making money, in lot’s of instances. Especially as you don’t have to pay tax on saved money, whereas you do have to pay tax on extra earned money. So that’s an interesting business twist isn’t it? So go and check out the podcast, the blog. Go and check out the app, the vzine. You can come to NicolaCairncross.com/Blog. You’ll see the brand new website. If you go to the homepage and then you can wander over to the blog afterwards. But do check out the app as well. It’s free to download. It brings all my social media output in to one place and it also enables you to ask questions of me whenever you like. So don’t forget the app, NicolaCairncross.com/app. I’ll see you next week. Hopefully I’ll have had a shower by then. What It’s Really Like To Live & Work Abroad
When it works, it works great but when it goes wrong…well, it can be a little frustrating to say the least! This week I have three major obstacles to overcome but there are compensations…. it’s all about keeping a sense of perspective! Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Do Your Feelings Control You? Property as a Business Prefer to read? Good morning, it’s Nicola here, and today I am coming to you, not live, from Sicky’s, one of my favourite haunts in Stoupa. I’m not live because the internet is not good enough either here or next door. And the reason I’m down here even talking to you at all is because my internet at home is not working. It’s not been working since Thursday and I’ve been trying to ring Cosmote, our local telephone providers. And they haven’t been picking up at all. So, it’s been a little bit frustrating. Yesterday, I was ringing them four a good 4 hours on and off solidly. And it turns out it was a Greek bank holiday and they make have well said that on their recorded announcement, but of course, I don’t understand that much Greek. So, I couldn’t understand that. Anyway, so I gave up and came down the beach in the end and then went to a party in the evening and tried again this morning at 7 o’clock, 8 o’clock and 9 o’clock. 9 o’clock I got through. The reason I’m telling you all this is because when you’re living and working abroad everybody does things differently and you have to be ready to roll with the punches and be a bit flexible. I’m going to lean my elbow on there so I’m not quite as wobbly. It’s all about flexibility this week. It’s all about what to do when you can’t do anything. There’s been three reasons why I haven’t been able to do anything this week. So, let’s get on with the show shall we. Today, I want to talk to you about what it’s really like to live and work abroad. Obviously, it’s a fabulous day. Let me just show you what I’m looking at today. It’s awesome. It’s hot. Because you can tell I’ve caught the sun yesterday. And I have to put factor 30 on because it really is very hot and sunny. But things go wrong, you know. I’ve got fantastic super fast broadband speed. It works generally 99 percent of the time absolutely fine. But on Thursday night, it decided to go off. It got weaker and weaker and it went and I realised something was seriously wrong when I tried to upload an audio that should’ve 2 or 3 minutes and it said it was going to take 5 to 7 hours. So, I thought something’s wrong here but I didn’t know what. So, I started ringing cause the houses in the name of my landlord. I have to get them to ring first then they said that Cosmote said they had to be there. So then it was back onto me. Now you can only ring Cosmote if you have a Greek mobile phone. Now, I have a Greek sim for my mobile but I didn’t have a voucher on it. It’d run out. So I ran down to get a voucher and then we were getting ready to call Cosmote and there was just not answer. So this was Monday morning we couldn’t work out what was going on. Turns out it was a national election on Sunday and everybody had a bank holiday. They gave them a bank holiday for the next day. So I was trying till lunchtime for four hours on and off and couldn’t get through. There was just nobody answering. I got through to someone on sales and then she put me through to technical, but she didn’t tell me that technical was shut. Perhaps she didn’t know. Then now I’ve come, I’ve managed to get through this morning. I was doing it a 7, I was ringing at 8, I was ringing at 9 and there is an option to speak English so I went through to them. 9 o’clock they answered and they said yes, there is a fault on the line. They’ll send someone out who will call me only on a Greek mobile so I’ve had to borrow my landlady’s Greek mobile and I’m carrying it around with me ready for them to call. Because they will require me to be at the house. Well, I can’t sit in a house with no internet. Just can’t or I’ll start going mad. So I have to work out how to go down the beach and carry a strange mobile with me where I may or may not recognise the ringing time to answer to a Greek technician who I then have to drive up to the road again and be at the house when he gets there. Because he might need to come in and look at my equipment inside. That’s been one frustration this week and quite a major one. And the other frustration has been that we’re in the middle of getting the new website design done and it’s just about ready to swap over and they’ve told me not to let anyone add anything to the site because they don’t want to have to keep updating. The problem with that is that all my whole social media plan revolves around constantly adding things to my blog, which then fires off onto certain things like Twitter. It’s really very frustrating because my poor VA can’t do her work properly because she can’t put anything on the blog, and if she can’t put anything on the blog and do her work properly, she’s not going to get paid which is not great. It really is a problem. So, I’ve told her to use Swagger and SoulBlog as a repository for all our videos and things like that at the moment. And then she’s going to have to go and do the work twice when the new blog is accessible. In the meantime, I can’t approve the new website design because I can’t get online. I can only get online on a mobile. I said to them it looks great on a mobile, but I can’t approve it yet. So I’ve come down today to Sticky’s, I’m sitting in Sticky’s actually. It’s completely empty. There’s nobody else here which is really pretty cool because I look like a nut talking to myself. I’ve come down to Sticky’s to give the new website design a thorough look over and hopefully approve it so they can make it live and my poor VA can get on with her work. And the final thing is I paid rather a large sum of money for shoutouts on influencer accounts on Instagram over the weekend and I was expecting them to happen over the weekend and they haven’t at all. In fact, I’ve lost one follower and not gained any. I’m just waiting for that to happen as well, and I’m not really good at waiting. Not really good at waiting. Not very patient at all. It’s all been very frustrating. But, I have been able to get out the house and come down to the beach. I’ve been able to relax once I get here because I’m quite good at switching off once I get here. Trynna make things happen that makes me frustrated and gross. But yeah, I’m sitting here having a wonderful frappe. This is a frappe. It’s a cold coffee with, tastes like ice cream, but I suspect it’s ideal milk. It really is very cold and delicious. I’m going to go and finish off that. Sorry about the wobbly quality of the video this week, but there was nothing else I could do. It was either that or not talk to you at all and you wouldn’t want that would you? Speak to you later. Bye. What’s on the blog and podcast this week you may be asking yourself? Someone’s gone past me with a very big hook. On the blog this week, it’s still White Labelling Your Courses. Which is VZINE 103. VZINE 104 should be up there by now. But I can’t remember what’s that about at all. The reason that’s not up there is because my girl hasn’t been able to post anything to the website cause we’re waiting for the new website. If you go over to NicolaCarincoss.com/Blog, you’ll be able to see the new episode of the VZINE which is 104. If I could only remember what it was about. And you would also see Own It 232 which is all about getting out of your own way by Louise Fletcher. I suspect that 233 will be up there by then and possibly even 234. But again, sorry. Can’t remember what those were about either. I just have to give up on this today and just work out what time I can get onto the sun bed that I’ve reserved. You have to get on very early in the day to get a sun bed round here I tell you. Speak to you later and have a great time during the week. Hopefully all will be back to normal next week. Do Your Feelings Control You?
Nicola’s oldest best friend is visiting Stoupa and that, and what she’s learning about trading currencies is making her reflect on how, most of her life, she’s been at the mercy of her feelings. Now, she’s really ‘getting’ what she tried to teach her children, that ‘this too will pass’. Whether you are building a career, building a business, trading the stockmarket, making a deal or just living your life, you have to get a grip of your feelings. You’ll be much happier when you can do that! Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases White Labelling Your Courses Bigger Thinking Prefer to read? Well, welcome back to the Vzine. It’s Nicola here and it’s Sunday morning. I’m a bit late recording this because I’ve had my best friend Kim staying in Stoupa for the last week with her partner Jeremy. It’s been great fun to catch up with them. They’ve fallen in love with the place as everybody does and now Kim’s daughters are arriving today along with an old friend Jane and a friend of one of her daughters so it’s going to be a girls’ week for the next week. So I’m not anticipating much work getting done which is lucky that I’ve got it set up so that my VA can do a lot of the heavy lifting for me this week. What else have I been up to? I’ve been swimming everyday because it’s been super hot here, not as bad as Italy and France but pretty hot nonetheless. And it’s climbing to 37 degrees on Thursday so lots of swimming to be heard this week, that’s for sure. Sarah’s still here. My sister’s staying next door which is nice ’cause that’s company yet we have our own places so that’s very cool. This week has been an exciting week on the cryptocurrency trading. I’ve made quite a lot of money this week. And it’s wonderful to finally have learned something that I’ve always been interested in and I’ve been on many courses for but I haven’t managed to grasp yet until recently and I’ve been doing that by watching the daily, once every three days videos by a guy called Charting Man Dan. If you’re at all interested in trading anything really, he’s very good at teaching you how to read the technical analysis charts of shares going up and down. He’s called The Chart Guys so if you looked for him on YouTube, you’ll find him under The Chart Guys and I highly recommend him, he’s fantastic. So let’s get over the show, shall we? So this week, I wanted to quickly talk to you about feelings. I’m learning to trade cryptocurrencies which is like trading the stock markets, it’s a similar kind of thing. It’s interesting because when you start to learn to trade, one of the things that you learn is that the markets are driven by greed and fear and they talk about that there’s a bull stampeding that way and there’s bears stampeding that way and there’s buffaloes stampeding along when the market is going sideways and it’s all about people’s feelings and emotions. So you have to really get to grips with those if you’re going to be a successful trader because the whole point of being a successful trader is to buy when the markets dip and sell when the markets are going up which is absolutely 100% opposite to what you want to do. If you’ve got ownership of a stock or a crypto and it’s going up, you naturally want to hang on to it. But what you’ve got to do is set a target for that and then get out of it just before the top. Now, you can only do that if you’re not being gripped by emotion and that you’re trading according to a strategy that you created based on looking at the charts. So that’s been a really interesting experience. The other thing that’s been making me think a lot about feelings is because my friend Kim is in Stoupa this week and we’ve been friends since we were 15 years old. She was the best friend of one of my first proper boyfriends and blessed, Jimmy has long gone by the wayside, he’s happily married to someone else, but Kim and I are still firm friends at the ages in, we’re mid to late 50s which is a long time to be friends with someone. She still surprises me, she still makes me laugh, she still makes me mad. I do the same for her, I’m absolutely sure. We just never get bored of each other’s company. In fact, I’m going to pick her up for lunch straight after I finish this and I’m going to take her out for a nice lunch somewhere that she wouldn’t have been able to get to if she didn’t have a car for example or didn’t live here and know this place exists. So Jeremy’s gone on the flight. He’s gone home after a week. Her girls and some friends are arriving on the same flight. It’s really funny in Stoupa. People get off the flight and then people get on again. Then, we’ll be arriving later on this afternoon but I’m taking her out for a quiet lunch first. So it made me think about all the times in our friendship when my feelings have got the better of me because I have largely been at the mercy of my feelings my whole life. Kim has been a much more disciplined person. She’s much better at gritting her teeth and getting on with it even through the bad times whereas I tend to throw everything up in the air and get not dramatic so much but I tend to think that feelings won’t pass and I can’t bear them and I can’t live through them. One of the things I taught my kids very, very early on is this too will pass, and Phoebe actually had a poster of it on her bedroom ceiling for a while when she was 12 or 13 because she found she experienced very powerful emotions and I wanted to teach them that this too will pass because if you could learn that you can get through things, then life becomes a lot more, I want to say easier, but it becomes a lot more bearable because you don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater, you have toys out your pram, you don’t throw the packing jobs because you’re bored one afternoon as I have been prone to do. So I’m trying to make the point of this Vzine about all about feelings and how you can master them and how if you can learn if you can get through things, then you can then change things when you’re in a better frame of mind to make sensible decisions. And it’s like that with business. It totally is. You can be having a really bad day, a really bad week, a really bad six months, a really bad year in your business and then suddenly something changes completely. I’m in the middle of a deal at the moment that may well be one of the biggest deals I’ve ever done. A few weeks ago, I was not feeling so great about my business because it was getting tougher and tougher to market, to get leads on Facebook, but I know I now have to learn how to use YouTube Ads because they’re much easier than Facebook Ads right now. So you have to get over your feelings and realise that you’ve got to find a way through the obstacles you’re experiencing and don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater just because you’re having a bad day. So I’d love to hear your comments on this. I’d love to hear whether you’re someone who can tough it out through your feelings or whether you’re someone who does feel very much at the mercy of your feelings. So do feel free to comment below wherever you see this. I monitor the comments everywhere. So whether you’re watching this on YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, the Facebook page, Facebook profile, blog posts, wherever you’re seeing it, I would love to hear from you and I will reply to the comments personally. So hope you have a good week and I’ll be back next week hopefully, unless I’m not having too much fun with the girls. So what’s on the blog and the podcast this week? It’s been a really interesting week for me. I’ve had a load of new stuff starting. I have a group called Stoupa Life and it’s a group for anyone who comes to Stoupa, stays in Stoupa, loves Stoupa for when they’re not here. And last week, I launched a merchandise range in T-shirts, mugs, beach towels, hoodies, that kind of stuff, crop top T-shirts, and it’s been going quite well. I’ve had some several sales and it’s really just a way of monetizing my time that I spend moderating the group. The merchandise is quite nice and so that’s involved me learning how to do e-commerce which has not been as difficult as I thought it would be because I have quite a lot of people to reach out to for help and guidance. So yeah, sold the first t-shirt last week, sold a second T-shirt this week. It’s building up gradually from one to one. We will see what happens. Anyway, I’ll tell everyone all about it on the blog which is Episode Own It! 233. So if you want, go to NicolaCairncross.com/blog or go to OwnItThePodcast.com/233. You can hear all about my venturing into the world of merchandise, or merch as we call it on the podcast. Judith loves that word. That’s on there at the moment and you’ll see a picture of a girl wearing one of our t-shirts, in fact. And then on Vzine Number 103, you’ll find me talking about white labelling your courses. So it’s not just that you can sell your courses once you’ve created them, if you can go and find communities of people who would benefit from your courses, you can then white label them. So that means recreating them within someone else’s environment or it means letting those people embed your videos within their environment, so their membership site for example. And I talked about that on Vzine 103 a little bit and it’s something that I’m doing a rather big deal on at the moment for one of my own courses Be Everywhere Online. Catch some lovely testimonials in from that. This week, a lady called Dr. Cynthia who is a chiropractor who I met in Vegas, she was one of the speakers. She has sent me a testimonial to say that she’s only really applied my course on a very rudimentary level but she’s made some videos that I recommended and she sent out links to the videos to her mailing list and she’s made several sales of her online course where she hadn’t made any sales at all online before. So if you’ve got a course or a training course or anything that could be turned into something that would teach other people how to do what you do in the way that you do it, there’s lots of ways to make money from that and I would love to help you. So come over to NicolaCairncross.com/blog, have a look at some of the free resources on my website at NicolaCairncross.com, and don’t forget to sign up for Clicks & Leads Academy where I can help you go from zero to hero in the online world very quickly indeed. White Labelling Your Courses
If you have created a successful training course, think about whose Members might benefit from your course too. This will create a win/win for both parties and is known as ‘white labelling” where you re-create your course inside someone else’s Membership area. You will usually get paid on a “per user” basis or you can even negotiate a “buy out” free for a certain period of time. Or consider a mix of the two! Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Leveraging Intellectual Property Getting Out of Your Own Way: Louise Fletcher Prefer to read? Well, it’s been a fun old week this week. I’ve been simultaneously really busy and simultaneously lying about a lot on the beach. It’s been very hot, so you try to get your computer close by too and get down the beach every afternoon. And Saturday and Sunday, I spent nearly all day down there, marvellous! So what have I been up to this week? Well, I have been setting up a T-shirt company when I’ve always wanted a product-driven company as well, and I finally had a bit of a brainwave about how I could lightly monetize something I do for passion which is run the Stoupa Life Group on Facebook. Now, there’s lots and lots and lots of people joining this all the time and I’ve been sort of trying to find a way to make a little bit of cash out just to cover the cost, really. But I didn’t really want to make it too commercial so we had the idea on the beach on Sunday to set up a T-shirt company with just a Stoupa Life logo. So that’s what I’ve been doing today and it’s going live soon on StoupaLifeShop.com. So I’d have to get my daughter Phoebe out to model some of the T-shirts soon, although they do have a fantastic way of using their in-house models to get you started. So if there’s anything you’re thinking of monetizing, anything you’ve got passion around, any group you run that’s got lots and lots and lots of people and you can’t think what those people might like to buy, sometimes, it’s just a matter of starting a T-shirt company where the logos are on the T-shirt because people want to be part of a tribe. So we’ll see how that goes when I launch it on Saturday because of course, I limit commercial ads in the group to Small Business Saturdays. That includes me too. So yeah, I’ll tell you about the rest of the week as we go through the episode today. This week, I’d like to talk about how to white label your products because what I found is that there are specific groups of people who respond very, very well to the whole Be Everywhere Online concept. The first group was Amazon store holders and I found that out by being invited to speak to some Amazon store holders in Australia a couple of years ago and about 25% of the room signed up to my Be Everywhere Online Programme then. And this year, I went again to speak to even more of them, a bigger crowd, and 30% of the room signed up to join my Be Everywhere Online Tuition then. And when I was in Vegas, Las Vegas for the Mastermind. I’d presented three times on the Be Everywhere Online concept. And afterwards, someone came up to me and said they had a whole tribe of therapists, hypnotherapists who were very, very good at what they did but who weren’t so good at marketing themselves and this person had heard on the grapevine, because he wasn’t at any of my tables, that the Be Everywhere Online concept might be good for his audience, his community. So we’re just working our way through talking about the potential for that, how we would do it, how I would be willing to let my intellectual property be used, and how I could set that up within his world garden, as he called it, which means his membership area rather than mine, getting his people to come into my membership area. This is called white labelling. So you create a concept, you improve the concept, and then you licence the right to use that concept to other groups of people. So it’s given me some fantastic ideas for how I can reach big numbers of potential future ideal customers without necessarily having to do the usual traditional marketing route. It benefits them, it benefits me. They’ve got the customers already and they’re looking for fantastic products that would help those customers and I have a fantastic programme which would help those customers. It’s just a question of reaching a deal that is mutually agreeable. I’m really enjoying the process because when you’ve got two people who’ve got, one’s got a product, one’s got a community, it’s a mutual respect kind of thing because everybody wants the customers to be a win-win situation while everyone makes some money in the process. It’s great fun. It’s great fun, it’s good business, and it’s nice and it’s creative. I didn’t use to think that being a business person was that creative but I found out over the years that it is. It’s about creating a deal that suits both. So that’s in negotiations. I’ll let you know what’s going on with that every week and I’m very excited about it. It could be a big thing for me and it could be a great thing for this gentleman’s customers. So if you know anyone who’s got a big community of people who might like to white label my Be Everywhere Online system or indeed The Money Gym System which is very good for lots of people from entrepreneurs, solo entrepreneurs, small business people, or freelancers. So if you know anyone with a community who would like to increase their income from that community, put them on to me. Just send them to Nicola@NicolaCairncross.com. Speak to you later! On the blog and the podcast this week, you will see episode 102 of the Vzine where I was talking about leveraging your intellectual property. And this came about because I was getting my audio of my book, The Money Gym, up on to Audible. The funny thing was that the intro and outro credits of it were rejected because the bird song was too loud in the background. So that was quite funny so I had to re-record that with all the doors and windows shut ’cause the sparrows, they’re a bit loud around here. Yeah, I’m hoping it’s going to be accepted now because I was sweltering while I was doing it. Luckily, it didn’t take too long. What is on the blog and the podcast? On the podcast this week is what to do when you’re stuck. Own It, number 231. So you can either go to ownitthepodcast.com/231 or go to NicolaCairncross.com/blog and that will take you to Episode 231 where we talk about how to get yourself unstuck, unstuck thinking, how to get yourself unstuck when you just don’t see which way to turn and you’ve got a problem, challenge, and you can’t see a solution, and you can’t see your way around, through, or over it. So that’s a good episode. We get stuck into that topic nicely. So come along to NicolaCairncross.com/blog. And if you’d like me to cover anything on the Vzine, or if you’d like us to cover anything on Own It particularly, do feel free to write it in the comments underneath wherever you’re watching this. It could be on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, or the blog, anywhere you might be able to see this. Just drop me a comment and tell me what you’d like us to cover. That’s it for this week. I’m off to go to the beach. It’s about four o’clock and it’s really hot here as you can possibly see. See you later! Bye! Leveraging Intellectual Property
One of the best ways to create passive income is to create something of value that you can leverage again and again. Nicola is uploading the audio version of her book “The Money Gym” to Audible and is excited to get started on the promotion for that. Working with the publisher of the print version, Nicola’s planning a marketing campaign where anyone buying the book for 99p and writing / screenshotting a review, will get a free copy of the audiobook. She’s planning a series of “Ask Me Anything” Facebook Lives to promote this offer. She’s also in talks with someone who wants to “white-label” her “Be Everywhere Online” marketing course for their audience, where Nicola delivers it once then they pay her an amount per future user in a “buyout” agreement. What could you create that you could make money from over and over again? Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Moving Forwards Does Your Relationship Help or Hinder your Business? Prefer to read? Hi it’s Nicola here, and it’s a glorious 30 degrees-something in Greece today. I’m off down the beach any minute, which is why I have my sunglasses on. It’s going to be sunny all day, all weekend, something like 37 degrees; looking forward to it. First swim in the sea, perhaps it might be hot enough for that. Yeah, it’s been a great week here at Cairncross Towers, I have had a meeting with someone who I met in Las Vegas, we had a zoom meeting with his ops director this week. Basically, what he wants to do is licence the right to use my material inside his membership site. He’s got three thousand therapists who haven’t got a clue how to market themselves online, and he thinks that my “Be Everywhere Online” programme will be fantastic. Now, that really is a great result for me because he wants me to go in, deliver it, create it all again in his membership area, and then I get paid a royalty for everyone who actually goes through the programme, which is great fun. They get to create a new source of income without having to do the actual work, I get another source of income from something I’ve already done most of the work on, and that is really very cool indeed. So, I’m very excited about that. Intellectual property is a marvellous thing. I want to talk a bit more about that in the middle section, so lets go straight on over there, shall we? I have spent all of this week getting my Money Gym book onto Audible. This involved me reading it out, which I had done several years ago, actually, but I had to go through and edit it all to make sure that all the “ums” and the “ahhs” and the “oh my gods” when I made a mistake were all edited out, because obviously you want the best quality product you can put onto Audible, because people will be paying a significant sum of money. But, yeah, I’m looking forward to that. I have always given away the audio in the past, but I think getting it onto Audible will open up a whole new market, and it’s been a bit of a slog, but the best thing of all is, it’s my intellectual property, I wrote the book, and I’ve got several books more that I can also get onto Audible now. Now I know the process, it’s actually very easy indeed, and it’s giving my intellectual property another run for it’s money, if you like, and the best thing about that is that I’m going to be able to use it for a promotion for the whole My Gym book concept, because when Audible’s ready, I can then do something to promote the Amazon book, and I can get my publishers to drop the cost of the Amazon book down to 99p for a limited time. Then I can do, say, a week-long promotion, and if anyone goes along and buys the book on Amazon for 99p, and then gives it a review, I can then send them a discount voucher to get them to be able to get a free copy of Audible, which will be really exciting. So, it’s going to breathe a whole new lease of life into a book that’s got really solid content and really is one of my flagship products, if you like. Now, it’s a little bit away from the whole concept of internet marketing, but, in the book, there is one chapter called “Profit from your Passion”, and “Profit from your Passion” is all about how to make money online from something you know about, are an expert in, or are passionate about. So, it sort of leads on quite nicely, that chapter, to people coming along and joining Clicks and Leads Academy. Now, also, in my Clinks and Leads Academy membership, I have all of the Money Gym content from when we used to just run that as a standalone business. So, people can actually access all the wealth creation stuff inside Clinks and Leads Academy as well. So, while I’m doing the week-long promotion for the book and the audio, I’ll probably set up some access to the Money Gym wealth creation materials within my membership site, as well. So, it’ll be like a little enclave within the entire thing. So, I’m looking forward to that. It’s going to take ten to fourteen days for the audible book to go live, so as soon as it is I’m going to be announcing an “Ask me anything” session on Facebook Live. So, I’ll probably go live every day, talking a little bit about one of the chapters from the Money Gym and telling people how they can get their Audible copy free by writing a review on Amazon and sending me a screenshot. I’m also going to be updating the book, I’m going to be writing the missing chapter, which is going to be updating the book specifically about how you can use little bits of money that you can save and scrimp and whatever, to buy cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin. Bitcoin has done me proud in the last few months; it’s doubled in value. While nobody knows where it’s going to go from here, over the next ten years, I fully anticipate that my five to ten grand’s worth of crypto, which I’ve bought in bits and pieces, you don’t have to buy a whole one at once, is going to make me a very secure old lady indeed. Looking forward to sharing that with people as well, so keep an eye out for the “Ask me anything” announcement, and if you’ve got any questions, just put them in the comments underneath, and I’ll include them in the “Ask me anything” session. Okay, so what’s on the blog and podcast this week? On the blog, is my last vzine, episode 100 where I am talking about being simultaneously inspired and overwhelmed as I come back from Vegas and attempt to make sense of all the opportunities and contacts I made there, so go and check that out at NicolaCairncross.com/blog. On the podcast, on episode 229, we’re talking about whether relationships help or hinder business women, particularly, and we get quite deep and dirty into the politics of it all, because it was inspired by an article by a journalist called Caitlin Moran, on The Times’ website, where she said that basically, women are still doing more than 50% of their share at home, and they take much more of their share of the organising child care and organising all the family stuff. Basically, we’re saying, “Is that fair? “How can we sort that out? How can we make that not “happen so much so that women have got an equal opportunity “to build a business and or a career?”. Lots of controversy on that one, and if you want to come along and join our Facebook group for “Own It!”, we have a private Facebook group, just search “Own It the Podcast” and you’ll find it. And then you can get stuck into the discussion over there. Well, that’s it for this week, I will see you next week as always, and do let me know if you want me to include your question in the “Ask me anything” session that’s coming up soon. So, just put a comment underneath, let me know what your question is and I’ll collate them all and answer them all on the Facebook live “Ask me anything” that’s coming in the next couple of weeks. Nicola is still acting on the opportunities from Las Vegas but on episode 101 she’s reflecting on how far she’s come from the very first Vzine. You just can’t predict how things are going to go but you have to just trust that things will work out. Clicks And Leads is a “tongue in cheek” digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance – Tip 1 Beating Resistance – Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Inspiration & Overwhelm How to Negotiate Any Creative Deal? Prefer to read? Well welcome back everybody, it’s Nicola here and I just wanted to say thank you very much for putting up with all my ramblings about the Mastermind in Vegas. In this episode I’m going to share with you a clip from a karaoke I did. Now I’d just like to preface that by saying that I really can’t sing at all but I think I can. I’ve got a sister who’s an opera singer and she sings jazz and my kids can both sing and my ex-husband can sing so I can’t quite get it through my head that I can’t sing. But I had a lot of fun. I did “Midnight Train to Georgia” with my new friend, Dr. Alvin Hill, I’ll just have to check that. I’ll let you know in the description which one’s the right one and we just had so much fun. He says he can’t sing either but he sang a whole lot better than me but the point was I was so full of adrenaline and excitement and gratitude and I never did karaoke. I’ve never done karaoke in my life apart from once before but I just felt so overflowing with fun that I just couldn’t stop myself. It was painful but fun. And my kids are just like wringing their hands together with despair really. Anyway, the point was I enjoyed it, and that’s all that counts. So I’ve shared that with you and some other clips as well. So yeah let’s get on with the show shall we? Yes well here we go. So moving forward from the Mastermind, what do I do moving forward? I’ve got so many new things on the go. I’ve got the redesign of my website, NicolaCairncross.com coming up and I’ve basically received some of the designs from the graphic design company in Australia who I won the prize from and they are pretty good. I wasn’t sure at first because it’s new and it’s different and you take time to get used to things but when I showed them to people alongside the old website which I actually quick like they were all oh my god, it’s a million times better, you’ve got to go with it. So I’ve got over myself and I’ve having, we’re finalising the designs on the main pages now and then I’ve got to find someone to build this site for me and turn it into thrive architect because I want to be able to have control over the content of course. So that’s happening, what else is happening? I’ve come to the end now of the editing of The Money Gym audio, so I’m just about to investigate how to get that on to Audible and then what Audible for you is you get unlimited promotional vouchers for it so people can go and download it I think as their first free Audible recording so you have a promotion on Amazon and you reduce the cost of your Kindle Book down to 99p and on the same week you can actually promote people who give you a review and give them a free copy of Audible, the Audible versions. So that’s what I’m a try to do cause reviews are key on Amazon and I’ve never really done this with my books, I’ve never sought reviews, I’ve never actively promoted the book to get reviews, and I’ve only just found out really how important that is, so yeah if you can get 100 reviews then apparently you’re off to a flying start. So it would be a good time to relaunch it. So I’ve come up with a scheme to be able to promote the whole thing on Facebook without annoying the Facebook algorithm and that is I’m going to write the missing chapter so I’m going to write an update to The Money Gym, although it is pretty up-to-date. I just think I’ve missed out a few things about a really exciting asset class that I’ve been investing in and doing very well with and it suits people who can’t invest in property or the stock market and it’s a good way of moving money from your profitable business into an asset class that works for you whether your awake or asleep. So I’m going to write the missing chapter. Then I’m going to promote that on Facebook and I’m going to get everyone who opts in for that to go and either get a copy of The Money Gym Kindle version for 99p and then I can send them a copy of the audible version for free when they show me a screenshot that they’ve written a review and that’s my launch plan, re-launch plan for The Money Gym. So if you’ve written a book that you think is really solid content and you’d like to re-launch it then do come and talk to me because I learnt a lot about relaunching books and launching books in fact at the Mastermind in Vegas. One of the speakers was a real expert in this and I can tell you all about him. And finally, my other project I’d like to get off the ground is I’d like to start my personal development project Swagger and Soul. I’ve really come to the point where I’ve just realised that every single bit of success comes from your mindset and if you can keep control of that as taught in my friend Andy’s Bug Free Mind books and then if you can really keep a grip of that and then design your life to suit you and keep a, this is the trick right, keep an energetic vibe going all the time, when you catch yourself having negative thoughts you have to catch yourself and turn them around immediately into a grateful thought and if I could share one skill from being alive for 57 years on this planet, that would be it. It’s not only the secret of happiness, the secret to peace, it’s also the real big secret to success. Because how can you not attract success when you’re vibing at such a high positive level. It attracts people, it attracts opportunities, I just would tell you to cultivate that one skill if I could. Okay that’s me done and I’m feeling a bit emotional at the moment as you’ll see in the next section because I do actually record the next section first and I’m feeling a little bit wobbly right now so being vulnerable though it’s all part of the story it’s all part of what makes you. So what’s on the blog and the podcast this week? In Episode 227 of Own It the podcast, so ownitthepodcast.com/227 or as always you can find everything on my blog at nicolacairncross.com/blog. You can find me talking in great depth with Judith about the Mastermind. I go into a lot more coherent detail about what happened, who spoke, what I got out of their talks and how much I really enjoyed it and what I learned from that. So go and check out the podcast if you want to hear more details and on the VZINE, that’s episode 100, that’s last week, I’m talking about inspiration, being inspired and also feeling a little bit overwhelmed. What do you do when you’ve got so much opportunity, so many good things coming at you, so many people who want to connect, you know what do you do? So I go into that in last weeks VZINE which was episode 100. Can you believe I’ve done a hundred episodes, that’s like two years of VZINEs nearly and I started it when I was in the depths of despair and it was freezing cold and it was the worst winter for fifteen years in Greece and I had just lost Steve and I had just had to… I was just being inspired by Casey Niestat really and just trying to pull myself out of the slough of despond and when I think how far I’ve come from that balcony two years ago, oh I feel quite emotional to the person who sang karaoke in front of a hundred and ten people, I just can’t believe it’s the same person really. I’ll stop there cause I don’t want to inflict my tears on you I’m just going to go away and be grateful in the corner for a minute. See you next week. Inspiration & Overwhelm
Back from Las Vegas, Nicola now has to get to grips with all the new contacts, business opportunities and ideas for new projects. What to do first? How to make sure nothing slips through the gaps? She shares how she prioritises everything she wants and needs to do. With more video extracts from the week, including an impromptu solo performance from Scott Page, saxophonist and rhythm guitar player with Pink Floyd, Supertramp and Toto. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Masterminding in Vegas Customer Service: Good, Bad & Ugly Prefer to read? Okay, welcome back everyone. So, Nicola here, and I'm back in Greece, and still reflecting on the week I spent in Las Vegas. It was just quite incredible. The thing I didn't mention in last week's vzine was how humble everybody was, how down-to-earth everyone was. I mean, one of the attendees was the saxophonist from Pink Floyd, Toto and Supertrapp and he was just the nicest man. He was just lovely, and so was everybody else. There was no egos at all. It was very much filled with an attitude of gratitude. Everybody there was so thankful and happy and grateful to be there. It was just the most wonderful, wonderful atmosphere. And we had some really young entrepreneurs there as well. There was Allena, who's just put her first book on Amazon, and she's 11 years old. And also, Andy's two children, Sarah and David were there. And Sarah's about 16, and David's 19, and of course he came away very fired up from the whole thing. So let's talk about how I'm feeling this week in the middle section and how I'm dealing with everything I learnt and what I plan to do with it. Okay, so this week in the middle section as always, I want to tell you what's happening with me, and then try and draw a lesson from that that might help you in your business. So this week, I'm back from Las Vegas. I'm over my jetlag. I'm feeling a little bit run down from all the adrenaline that was coursing through my system. That's the only excuse I can think of 'cause I'm sleeping well enough for it not to be jetlag anymore. I wanted to just talk a little bit about how I'm coping with the overwhelm of all the opportunities that came to me while I was in Vegas and how do you even begin to start? I've come back to my usual workload, which is not onerous, to be honest, but I've now got to fit in all these new projects that I want to do and follow up with all the great people I met. So how do you do that? What I normally do is go about it by listing everything and putting it into a grid, a four-square grid. And, top left-hand corner of the grid is 'important and urgent'. This is a Stephen Covey: "Seven habits of highly effective people." So you might recognise it if you've read that book. And top right-hand corner is 'urgent but not important'. No, I lie. It's 'important, but not urgent'. And then on the bottom left-hand corner, it's 'urgent but not important', and then the bottom right-hand corner is 'not urgent, and not important'. So you try and categorise your tasks like that and obviously, you do the important and urgent stuff first, which is recording this vzine for me, because I really was very bad when I was away. I just couldn't make myself do it at all. I just never seem to have time, I never seem to be in the right place, I never seem to have the energy, or, y'know I was just firefighting all my energy levels all the time. Yeah, so catching up with the vzine is important and urgent. Catching up with podcast editing, catching up with Write Club, my hobby podcast I do with the girls. So those are all really urgent things, and important too. Moving on to the important but not urgent things.

Masterminding in Vegas
When you are invited to spend eight days in Las Vegas with 110 of the most brilliant minds in your industry, what do you say? YES!! obviously! With speakers like Marisa Peer, Joe Sugarman and Marianne Williamson who had just smashed her requirements for running for President in 2020, the whole event was a massive high. Bowling, welcome party at Liberace's Mansion, a Desert Party, yacht trip round Lake Las Vegas, karaoke and Thai food, 3 x days masterminding and learning from each other, then a Farewell Party at the EverMentor Mansion, what a week I had. What's the point of Masterminds though? Nicola share's what she got out of it all in the middle section of this week's vzine. Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. Okay, so, hi everyone, it's Nicola here, and I'm back from Las Vegas as you can see, back in the sleepy house in Greece. Which is quite a relief. I can tell you, it's been quite full on. Eight days of partying. Both in the evenings, and also either partying or masterminding in the day. It was hard work but we had some time between to enjoy the luxury, the luxury bedrooms and bathrooms in the Palm Springs Hotel and I was on the 30th floor, but I could still hear the pool party at the KAOS open day and night club. So, that took a bit of getting used to at the weekends, I can tell you. If you want a completely full report on what happened in Vegas and everything I got out of it, I'm going to give you a little rundown in a minute. Then you will need to check out episode 227 of ownitthepodcast.com, which will be coming out in a week or so, because we go into it in quite some detail in that. So, in the mean time, I'm going to give you a little rundown in the middle section, and I hope you enjoy it. Let's get on with the show, shall we? Okay, so as always, what I want to do in these middle sections is to tell you what I've been up to, and what I've learned and what you can take away from that to apply in your business. So, I've been on this amazing mastermind in Las Vegas, and it was put together originally to thank a bunch of people who helped my friend Andy get his books off the ground initially, the Bug Free Mind books. And it's grown into much more than that, because they really did such a great job on the first mastermind event that people really just wanted to come back year after year. So what's it all about then? We spent a few days getting together, and getting to know each other, and reacquainting ourselves with people we've met before. We spent a lot of time just talking about what we've been doing over the last year or so. And then after a couple of days of that, of parties and lunches and just hanging out, we go and we have three days of masterminding, and that involves all sorts of things. From people speaking, like Alex Mandossian, Perry Belcher, if you know any of these names, they're really well known in the internet marketing space. And then from personal development world we had some of the people who were attending, and some of the people who were sponsoring events. And then we had some really big names like Joe Sugarman, who is a legendary ad man, and who's now making millions selling blue light deflecting glasses. So if you see people around with those orange glasses on, Joe's responsible for those. And two of the other speakers were Marisa Peer, who is an incredibly high level therapist. She works with royalty and pop stars and movie stars. And she was speaking for us, and she's a big cheese in the Mindvalley community, and I was really looking forward to her speaking,

When The Universe Kicks Your Butt
Sometimes things happen to you over and over again so that you can learn your lesson. Sometimes that butt-kicking gives you another opportunity. Do you get to decide which it is? Not always, but you CAN learn to always take advantage of it. Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases I’ll Believe It When I See It Fun and Easy Marketing Prefer to read? Hi, it's Nicola here. And I just wanted to say happy Easter from Greece, yes we have our Easter weekend on a different weekend to yours, and then we've just had it here. And it's been amazing, I went down to our local taverna Melissa's and they had a lot of meat on the spit, doesn't sound very attractive does it? But it was absolutely delicious, roast lamb to you and me. As you can hear I'm outside again and with all the accompany noises of people doing up their houses, and motorbikes going past, and people with diggers and dumpers, and all sorts of activity going on here getting ready for the summer season. So, yeah, I thought I'd come outside and speak to you today from the balcony before the mozzies start taking over. I actually saw one, I let a bee out earlier and a mozzie came in, it seems you can't have one bit of wildlife without the other. Anyway, that's enough waffling from me lets get on with the show, shall we? Sometimes it's a bit of a slog to think about what to talk about in these middle bits. I usually just have to cast my mind back over the previous week and see what things have come up either for me or for clients and what lessons I've learned or re-learned, indeed, because lessons keep coming, they just keep coming over and over again until you actually get them. I call that the universe kicking your butt. And so today I was really surprised when I went onto Amazon just to get a link for my book, and I found that it'd been reduced on Prime to £1.59 for a copy of my book, The Money Gym. And what I didn't realise was there was only a limited time promotion, I didn't realise that at all. But I acted quickly, I got some information out on my page, on my profile, I sent an email to my list saying "You can get a physical copy of the book "for just 1.59 right now, if you're a Prime member." Lots of people went and bought it and all the activity has sent me straight to number one in some strange categories I didn't even know I was in. One being management and marketing, you wouldn't have thought a book about wealth creation and financial intelligence would've been in management and marketing, but apparently, back in the mists of time, that's where my publisher put it. And the other one was accounting and audit, well that's an exciting selling category, isn't it? I'm absolutely delighted to be number one today, as we speak, in management accounting and auditing category on Amazon so go and check that out. Number four on the other one, which is management accounting, and number 37 in the category that I actually want to be found in, which is personal finance. What it has led me to do is contact my publisher and suggest we move a couple of categories because the book's still really sound. I mean it could do with a tiny bit of an update to include block chain technology and perhaps cryptocurrencies as an investment asset class now, because they are growing in leaps and bounds. So that's probably the only bit I'd update right now, otherwise the book's still solid. So if you haven't got a copy of The Money Gym yet, do go over to Amazon and check whether there's a special offer on, or just go to themoneygym.com and I've put links to buy on Amazon UK and Amazon USA. There's nothing like having a physical copy of a book I don't think,

I’ll Believe It When I See It
Judith and Nicola discuss the matters raised by Nicola’s new website and marketing plan. Which URL will she use? James Schramko advises sticking her NicolaCairncross.com as it is her authority site. She’s going to an SEO meeting to clean up some of the issues she believes may be limiting her traffic to that domain. She wants the new website to keep the same colours but be lighter and brighter and she’s making some brave decisions about client attraction which she believes is her USP. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Telling Stories In Your Business Clean Marketing Prefer to read? Hi there, it's Nicola here and this is my second attempt at doing this because yesterday I managed to turn the camera off when I was talking and turn it on when I wasn't, which made for some very interesting footage in between I can tell you. I look a bit pink because I've just washed and blow-dried my hair in spite of the fact I'm going to the hairdresser later. Where's the logic in that? But it looks so bad I thought, I can't possibly even go down to the village with it looking that bad. So big news this week on two fronts. I've been invited to write some articles for Agora Financial Division, which is coming along under the auspices of Rich Schefren. I was asked to contribute the articles by none other than Chuck Dolce, who used to be Rich's copywriter and who I met when I went on a weekend retreat to- well where was it? It was Florida somewhere. I can't remember the name of the place, it was lovely anyway. So I'm very happy to be working with Chuck on this, he's the Editor in Chief and he's also helping me to not- long articles into shape, but I'm really excited because all of the Agora properties get an awful lot of traffic. The other big deal this week, is that our own at the podcast not only has had it's biggest week of downloads ever, we've had over 5,000 downloads in a week which is just astonishing, but we've also hit the 100,000 download mark which is just amazing, isn't it? And that's one of the things I'm going to talk about in the middle section, I want to talk about all the things that we do, me and Judith, separately and together where we don't know what's going to happen, we don't know if it's going to make any difference, we don't know if it's going to work. And talk a bit about the outcomes, and the trap that's hidden there. Hope you enjoy the show this week. Let's get on with it, shall we? Okay, so this week our podcast hit 100,000 downloads. That is absolutely unbelievable. And in the same week, we magically have had something like 5,000 downloads in a week. Now, you'd think that you'd be able to puzzle out how this kind of thing could happen, wouldn't you? But no, we can't figure it out at all. And the interesting thing is, that is seems to be not one episode that spiked which you'd expect if say, an influencer or someone on Twitter with a big following had picked up on an episode and shared it, that would've spiked just that episode, but no we're actually getting growth over all the episodes. I look at the downloads on some of the earlier episodes, I can see that we get between two and ten downloads a month, or that's been the case up until now. We're now across the board, getting 20 to 30 downloads in the last month, for every early episode, it's quite astonishing. So, I don't know what's caused it, all I can say is I'm happy and grateful that it's happened. Now, the podcast is an interesting one because Judith works out that it takes us about six man hours to create it every week. It certainly doesn't feel like that. We do a little bit of, I don't know,

Telling Stories In Your Business
There are many times when we need to tell stories in our business and marketing. Nicola outlines a 5-point plan for making sure you are telling stories with the most impact! On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases And So It Came To Pass Why People Buy: Guest Sue Okell Prefer to read? Okay, well, it's Nicola here and I'm just about to head off to the Amora Hotel for the SuperFastBusiness Live conference. Starts tomorrow and goes on for the next day, big dinner tomorrow night. But most people are getting together this afternoon as they're sort of arriving in, so I'm going to go down and meet a few people that I've met only online, which is going to be exciting. I've had an amazing week, I've had just an incredible week. I was speaking for a big corporate coaching company on Thursday night, and then they took me out to dinner at Cafe Sydney on Friday night, which was just the most incredible view over Sydney Harbour from the customs house. Then I went down to Wollonngong to see my friends Lorraine and George. Lorraine, where I shared flats with her when we were in our teens, so that's how long we've known each other. And I had to go down on the train and they got the most amazing trains here, they're double deckers! I don't know why I found that so exciting, but I did. So you step onto the train at platform level, and then you can either go upstairs or downstairs. Fabulous. I do, I do get excited about silly things. And that was really lovely. Lorraine laid out a spread in her garden. And it wasn't particularly sunny but it was warm enough to see outside and they've got a little deck and a pool and everything, as they all do over here. And then what happened? Yeah, I've just had a really incredible time going around. I've had my nails done, I've been resting, I've been learning about writing from a master class I bought, and I've been treating myself to lots of lovely deli kind of food and the odd meal out as well as hanging out with my brother quite a lot which is nice. So let's get on with the show, shall we? So this week I want to talk to you about story telling in your marketing. As you probably know, I'm learning how to become an author, how to write a novel, fiction. It's really quite hard work, but there are some principles that I'm finding incredibly helpful in my own marketing and the first principle of storytelling is that, usually, things are told in what's called three acts. So you have the first quarter of a book, then you have the last quarter of a book, and you have the middle section of a book. And this is called the First Act, and this is where the ordinary world of the hero happens and then at the end of the First Act, in what's called an inciting incident happens. An inciting incident is something that calls the hero to adventure and makes them have to make a choice about whether they stay in their ordinary world or go off on this adventure. In the middle section, things now happen to challenge the hero, so there is usually one, possibly two, complications in the hero's life. And at the end of that middle section, at the 75% point, yes that's right, then there's usually some sort of climax or crisis that make the hero have to recommit to their journey or change in some way, there's a change in the hero, and often a change in their circumstances, too. Perhaps a mentor has come along and helped them or given them something special that will enable them knowledge or a tool or a trick of some kind, or magic, that enables them to overcome the crisis at the end of this part of the book. And then the final section of the book is where everything gets resolved.

And So It Came To Pass
I decided I wanted to improve on my conversion performance of two years ago, so I kept visualising the result I wanted (and I even got the exact number of application forms printed). Well, welcome back to the Vzine. It's Nicola here, and I'm back in my brother's flat in Sydney. And you can see I'm a little bit hot actually. It's quite warm here and I'm back from the Gold Coast and it was even warmer there. I spent four days in a fabulous hotel, largely being thunder and lightening, not so much sunshine. It was a very humid four days. But, "How did the conference go", I hear you ask. Well, it was absolutely brilliant. We had four amazing days with some nearly 200 fantastic Amazon entrepreneurs. There was a cocktail party on the first night, then there was one full day of conference and lots of different speakers including Neil Asher who was putting the conference on, and then I was on first thing on Sunday morning. So I largely spent Saturday tinkering with my presentation. It was a good solid presentation two years ago, but I want to bring it right bang up to date, and also to put in some elements that had come to me when I was talking to people on the Friday night. So, I did that and then I got on stage at 9:15 on Sunday morning. People were already in the room because Neil had done a presentation at 8 o'clock which is incredibly early when you think about it, on a Sunday. And as I moved through the presentation I felt so confident and happy to be up there, because I'd met a lot of the audience already, it was really, really nice and friendly, everybody was laughing at my jokes, particularly the ones at Neil's expense. And at the end of it when I said to people, "If you'd like my help, just put your hand up and we'll make sure you get a form to come and join Clicks and Leads Academy, and work through the 'Be Everywhere Online' programme", everybody put their hands up, it was absolutely astonishing. So my goal was to do better than two years ago, when 25% of the room signed up to Clicks and Leads Academy, and this year 30% of the room, and the room was twice as big. It was just unreal. I'm on a high, I'm on a massive high, I cannot believe it. Lots and lots of lovely new clients, all of whom are serious business people, all of whom I'm convinced I can help to take their Amazon businesses to the next level, so I'm really excited about that. But let's get on with the show shall we, cause I've got quite a lot to tell you. Okay, so, what did I share on stage with the Amazon entrepreneurs? Well, we were driving home to them that you can't just rely on Amazon itself to bring you traffic. You have to find some external method of bringing traffic to your store once it's set up. And even better than that, if you can build a landing page to send that traffic to first, then you've not only got a reason for people to-- and you can actually give people discount vouchers as a reason to give you their name and email before they even get to your store. And the other important thing about having a landing page is that you can actually put pixels on it. You can put Google remarketing pixels, Facebook remarketing pixels, and Twitter remarketing pixels on that page.

When The Stars Align
When I booked a super early-bird ticket to SuperFastBusiness Live last year, little did I realise that not only would I manifest not just one, but two speaking gigs to cover my costs and more, but also the use of a luxury flat overlooking Sydney Harbour! But by working on myself hard, especially over Christmas and New Year, so it came to pass.... Hi, it's Nicola here, and I am in Sydney, Australia, I've just arrived from England, and a very long flight it was too, but made more bearable by the fact I treated myself to some noise cancelling headphones, which cut out not only the sound of the babies screaming on the plane, but the sound of the engine, it made a huge difference, so I recommend those to you. So here I am in my brother's flat in Potts Point, and I've got the most amazing view, let me just show you out of the window, it's incredible. I'm off up to the Gold Coast tomorrow, to go and speak for Neil Asher, who's a very old friend of mine from England, and he's got an Australian wife, and he's got an Australian business, he's got lots of properties and businesses all around the world, but one of his main ones is the Aussie Online Entrepreneurs, and he teaches people how to make money on Amazon, so he's really, really good at it. So if you're looking to find out how to do that properly then go to NicolaCairncross.com/Asher and you will find a link to his website. But I'm going to be speaking to a room full of 200 Aussie Online Entrepreneurs, I did really well the last time I came, loads of people joined up for my Be Everywhere Online programme and I'm looking to beat my previous record, it was 25% of the room last time. This time it's double the room size, and I'm looking to do more than 25%, I want to welcome more than a quarter of those people in that room into my Be Everywhere Online programme. So let's see how I get on shall we? I want to tell you a bit about how I got here in the middle section. Okay well, in this section I want to tell you a little bit how I got to Sydney in the first place, it was a really, very spooky story, very funny story. Last year some time my mentor, James Schramko, has an event and he put the event tickets for sale, and they're very, very cheap if you buy immediately, so I did that, not knowing whether I'd want to come or not. Not knowing if I'd be ready to get out of Greece, and whether, you know, I was feeling in the mood to travel or anything yet. But I trusted that I would be by this time, because it's now three years since Steve died and I'm not, I miss him every day, but I'm feeling better on a day to day basis. So I bought my ticket anyway and within two days of buying my ticket my friend Neil contacted me and he said, "Do you want to come and speak for my Aussie Online Entrepreneurs again?" He said, "I'd love to have you, "I'm going to be going over there, and you can "stay in my Airbnb and all that business, "I'll make it as easy for you as I can." And so I looked at the dates and James' event is the 3rd and 4th of April, and Neil's event was the 16th and 17th of March. Well that is just phenomenally close, I couldn't believe how close they were, two or three weeks in between them. So I then thought, well okay, I can only do this if I don't have to stay in a hotel, because that would just be ridiculous, and I thought about an Airbnb, and then my brother popped up into my mind and I thought, well he came and stayed with me for five weeks back in Greece last year, so I'm sure he could put up with me for two or three weeks in betwe...

Who Do You Take Advice From?
I've been feeling a bit downhearted this week after two bits of robust feedback, one of which made me feel told off and one of which made me feel a bit useless at something I'm working hard to learn. I shared how I felt with a friend, who is actually spectacularly successful at this thing and he immediately pulled me up and reminded me that I need only take feedback from people who have successfully done what I want to do, quite frankly, nobody else's opinion counts. It's going to be an interesting balancing act going forwards.... Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. The Story Of Megan Prefer to read? Hi everyone, Nicola here, and I'm back in sunny shore and by sea. Well it certainly is today anyway, it wasn't the day I arrived. I'm staying with Phoebe and Nelson for a few days on route to Australia. And, of course, while I'm in Australia the whole Brexit thing's going to kick off. So I'll be coming back after that happens. And who knows whether they'll let me into any of the countries I want to go to when I come back. We'll have to wait and see won't we? So, one of the first things that happened when I got back was that Phoebe and I went to lunch with a very charismatic character called Fox. Who I've known for a little while now. He and his partner were in the back of a Worthing Chamber of Commerce speaking gig I did. And it was really great, 'cause they immediately started to talk to me afterwards. And we realised that we had a lot in common. And we had lunch and got to know each other. Anyway, Phoebe and I went for lunch with Fox, and he is watching these videos, which is really interesting, because when you're making them, sometimes you think that you're talking to just one person. I always try and picture my ideal client. I've got several ideal clients. So I sort of picture them in my head when I'm talking to them. And Fox I didn't think would ever become a client of mine. But he's actually making noises like he'd like to work with me. Which is really cool. And also he'd like to work with Phoebe. Which is even more cool. And the funny thing is that you just make these videos, and you don't know who's watching. And there's lots of people watching out there, and they're all thinking, do I like this person? Does she have anything that she could teach me? Does she have anything that she could do for me? And am I getting a sense from these videos that this is someone I would like to work with? So, you've got to keep doing them though, because the lack of response sometimes makes you think there's nobody watching. But I can promise you, there is. And Fox was very complimentary about the message in the videos, and the way I deliver them. And the fact that he really feels that he can relate to me through what I'm saying on these one minute videos and my VZINES. So, it was a very nice reminder that there are people listening and people watching, and that I should keep going with them even sometimes when I don't feel like it. So thank you very much to everyone who watches and listens. I really appreciate you. I'm off to the pictures tonight with Phoebes. We've been having a lovely lazy weekend, after going out on Friday night to the local. And we're going to see, I'm not actually sure, it's an action adventure thriller with a young female part person part cartoon protagonist. So, I'm looking forward to seeing that, because I'm trying to write action thrillers at the moment. I've got more to say about that in a little bit. So, let's get on with the show, shall we? So,

Well, welcome to the Vzine this week. It is the 26th of February, and it's T-shirt weather already. Uh, So, that's the thing about Greece when it's bad weather it's very bad weather but it only lasts for a couple of months, and yes I was sitting out on the front step earlier thinking, I can't do this without sun block because I will burn, and that's absolutely fabulous. I love the thing of coming up the stairs in the morning, opening up my blinds and seeing sunshine, that just makes me happy. I don't know why, it just does. So, Um, I was thinking about happiness a lot recently because I've just read a fantastic book all about a woman who lost her husband, and how she dealt with that and then I was listening to Steve Bartlett's dairy of an CEO and he was asking, you know, who are you a slave to, are you a slave to your own happiness or are you a slave to other things that don't really matter. Gary Vaynerchuk's also been talking about it recently and it's uh, an illusive beast this happiness and I think it only comes in short waves. I think the best you can hope for most of the time is peace, peacefulness with occasional shots of joy. That's what I'm aiming for nowadays and uh if I just get that, then I'll be happy, and of course having something to do that gives you meaning, whether that's your day job or whether it's a hobby, that is another way to make yourself happy, but finally the thing that I would really recommend to everybody is meditation. I am a late comer to meditation. I only did it about, well I suppose a year ago I started properly meditating, with guided meditations on a regular basis and I find that it makes the most incredible difference to my levels of happiness. So, um if you're new to all this I would recommend you go and download Mind valley quests app, and there is uh several meditations on that, guided mediation, which means you don't have to try and think empty thoughts and the one I love the most is Vishen Lakhiani's 6 phase meditation, which takes, you can ether do it in bits so you can do um, each of the 6 phases individually or you could do the whole lot together, which takes about 15 minutes. Highly recommend it, totally free, download it on the app store and see what it does to your levels of happiness. Right, let's get on with the show shall we? I've got some brilliant interludes for you this week. Hi there, it's Nicola here and in the next series of 7 videos I want to tell you a story about a lady called Megan, Megan is a trainer and consultant, she's been working in a specialist field for over 20 years now and she's always enjoyed going out to stay in hotels and set up workshops and have amazing people in her workshops that she can actually help and she sees the transformation in them, but the problem is, Megan is getting older, she doesn't enjoy going to the hotels so much she doesn't enjoy the very early morning train journeys. The other thing Megan does, she's an associate for a big training and coaching company and she's always been one of their top associates. She's always got lots of work from them.
