The Clemson Tigers went down to Tallahassee on Saturday looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season, only to be turned away by the FSU administration in an attempt to avoid further humiliation in a humbling first season under coach Mike Norvell Corona Virus. In doing so they almost assured that Dabo and the Tigers hang 100 on them the next time the two teams meet, which in our estimation may very well have been worth it. The #1 Clemson Tigers overcame the absence of Trevor Lawrence after he tested positive for Covid late in the week, mounting the largest home comeback in school history en route to a 34-28 victory over Boston College. The #1 Clemson Tigers shelled The Citadel in front of 19k socially distanced fans in Death Valley on Saturday afternoon, scoring all 49 points in the first half in a game that saw 100+ Tigers get in on the action. In this ep we recap an offense (4:55) that, led by Heisman candidate Trevor Lawrence, was unstoppable behind the first team offensive line but stalled once the backups entered the game, failing to put up points in the 2nd half. The Clemson Tigers are back for what is already shaping up to be an unusual and unpredictable 2020 college football season as, despite several key players not making the trip to Winston-Salem, presumably due to COVID-related precautions, the Tigers shook off some early rust in an eventual 37-13 route of Wake Forest on Saturday night. In this game recap we discuss an offense that once again opened up and found success in the passing game over the middle (8:16), a new look defense that returned to dominating the line of scrimmage (33:41), and a special teams unit now filled with veteran kickers who made their impact felt (44:54). As the end of August Camp nears we are t-minus 3 weeks from the hopeful start of the College Football season and the dust has seemingly settled, for now, on which conferences are opting in or opting out of the 2020 campaign. The #3 Clemson Tigers staged their 5th biggest comeback in school history on Saturday night as they rallied from a 16-0 deficit before going on to defeat the second ranked Ohio State Buckeyes 29-23 in the College Football Playoff Fiesta Bowl Semifinal. Clemson now heads to the Big Easy to take on the #1 LSU Tigers in hopes securing back-to-back national titles for the first time in school history. MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PAWCAST!!! The #3 Clemson Tigers make their 5th straight College Football Playoff appearance this weekend in the Fiesta Bowl as the #2 Ohio State Buckeyes look to unseat the defending national champion. Each team will face their toughest test of the season as two statistically elite offenses and defenses will be on display in what stands to be one of the best semifinal match-ups of the CFP era. In this ep we preview a game (4:31) that will showcase two elite QBs whose battle in the recruiting rankings two years ago finally finds its way to the field in Glendale. Justin Fields and the OSU offense will challenge a reloaded Clemson defense that has exceeded all expectations, albeit against vastly inferior competition (16:42). On the flip side Trevor Lawrence aims to continue his playoff dominance as a potent Clemson offense looks to overpower an OSU defense that, though greatly improved, has not faced a dynamic offense all year (30:46). And in a game between such evenly matched opponents special teams could be a major factor, an area in which OSU has a decided advantage (43:09).
