Chris Gilbert, a Chicago native and friend of mine, sits down to discuss the state of our country and what it looks like from his point of view. We discuss the 2019 Stanley Cup playoff race and Chris' predictions to take home the cup.  We also touch on issues such as politics, abortion, and being a black man in America.   It was a very great conversation from a well informed and intelligent guy. 

Today we had the privilege of sitting down with another candidate running for mayor in the City of Spokane, Mr. Shawn Poole.   Shawn is a retired US Army Colonel, a current City of Spokane firefighter and wants to be the next mayor.  We discuss some of the issues facing Spokane and the leadership and experience that Shawn will bring as the next city executive if elected.  Some of the topics that we discuss are: Homelessness and the issues facing city government with dealing with this growing epidemic, drug addiction and strains that it puts on society, infrastructure within a medium to large economy,  and accountability, or lack thereof, of elected officials in local and state government. Eric Goetz is a great friend of mine and has been part of my life for decades now.  He is a US Army veteran, a former Indiana Department of Corrections correctional officer and currently works as a Master Patrolman for the city of Portage, Indiana.  We discuss many of the issues facing police officers including dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  

Dante Rumore is a Social Worker specializing in counseling services and readjustment for US Veterans with PTSD.  We discuss real issues facing our returning veterans and how Dante goes about providing treatment and reintegration services as a US Veteran's Administration counselor.

The discussion with Vic Sipriano, a cloud computing engineer, focused heavily on civil liberties and the rights afforded to us all.  We discussed the recent Edmunds, Washington "Build That Wall" cookie that was used as a launchpad for Social Justice Warriors to attack and attempt to drive the baker out of business.

Our very first podcast in which we discuss "success" as it is viewed by others.  Is there a gauge of what a successful person is in our current society?  Is it a doctor or lawyer, or is it a plumber or electrician?  The value of higher education and how it is utilized in society vs the trades is discussed and a in depth look at how society looks at the people within those professions.
