Today we’re trying something a little different.  For a long time, we’ve been talking about the Hollywood stock we’ve bought, how it turned out, and whose future we’d invest in today.  Our inescapable hubris made us believe you’d like to hear that conversation, so HERE IT IS!  You’re gonna hear names like Skeet Ulrich and James Purefoy (busts), Rosario Dawson and Anna Kendrick (stocks we’ll never sell), and Anya Taylor-Joy and Jonathan Majors (blue chip, first round picks).  This episode is essentially a long list (although we had hundreds more) of people we love, no matter what category they’re in.  Get ready for a dose of nostalgia for those we love, sadness for those who don’t seem to be coming back, hope for the return of old favorites, and giddy optimism for the next generation.  Also, you’ll get to follow the results of our futures draft!! "Tonight we're not thinking -- just doing."  Let's travel back to the 80's to celebrate this film that was made in 2007 but released in 2011!  We feel this gem went under the radar and judging by the box office we're not wrong.  Join us as we cover all things Fogler, Grace, Faris and Pratt.  We love an homage when it's done right and this film gets it right.  All the way down to the "boyeeee" dance battle.  The soundtrack is also rad. This week was the much-anticipated release of David Fincher’s new film “Mank”. Jedd gave it a 9.4/10 and Cole gave it a 9/10, so it’s safe to say we loved it. We get into our first impressions of this remarkable love letter to old Hollywood and the masterpiece “Citizen Kane”. "THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING!!"  - Jedd is back and we do a quick burn on one of the most anticipated movies of the year, Aaron Sorkin's Trial of the Chicago 7.  This is a fascinating look at one of the most important moments in modern history as it moves back and forth between the events that led to the protest and riots of the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the bizarre trial that followed.  We loved it, but as with all things, we've got takes.  Jedd - 7.8/10  Cole - 8/10

“Cow….another cow. I think that was the same cow.” That’s right Burners, we start chasing tornadoes with the 1996 classic, “Twister”. Jan De Bont delivers an incredible disaster flick despite being a bit of a disaster himself behind the scenes. We get into all the meteorology and break down why this movie works, why the script is terrible, and why Cole thinks this is a fantastic “Mighty Ducks” remake. Today’s episode is an experimental journey through “Happy Accidents”, the 2000 Marisa Tomei/Vincent D’Onofrio romance. We mixed it up a bit and tried to have some fun with this off-beat, often bad, always bizarre time-travel romantic comedy. Cole watched the first half; Jedd watched the second and we then recorded our guesses as to what happened. Spoiler alert – Cole had no idea. We had a blast trying to dissect where this script was going and what could have been changed to make it work. "The Glove… I had no problem with The Glove."  This week we go dancing and basically gush over the greatest sports documentary of all time.  We're of course talking about The Last Dance.  The ten part espn series on the six time nba champion Chicago Bulls featuring the greatest to ever lace them up, Michael Jordan.  To say this is a review is a stretch, it's 20 minutes of us talking about how perfect this series is.  So put on your warmup and lace up your Jordan's because this quick burn is 23 (perfect).

“Sorry, I just took an upper decker” - That’s right, this week’s episode tackles the cult classic, MacGruber. We found a shoelace, ping pong ball, chewed gum, and a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon and turned it into a banger. "Pain don't hurt" Or does it? No no, it definitely does not hurt. You know what else doesn't hurt? Doing a deep dive on the 1989 Patrick Swayze classic  Road House.  This film has so much subtley and layers and subtext and philosophical conundrums and...who are we kidding this film is all about kicking ass, monster trucks, explosions and hot women!!  It has everything you would want in a film about a legendary cooler and the bouncers he manages and the sadistic ruler of pretty small town.  We had a blast with this one and hope you enjoy.
