Robobuggy: Buggy's Wholesome Meme
When you show someone buggy for the first time, one of the standard responses is, "Is there really a person inside that?" SDC - Empire of Malice
Over the past decade no team has dominated the Buggy scene like SDC, winning a record 8 years in a row on the men's side and 10 of the last 13 on the women's. Many see them as the "New York Yankees" of buggy, but it wasn't so long ago they were the underdogs fighting to take down a PiKA dynasty. We talk to SDC alumni from those teams that battled in 2008 and finally broke through with a course record in 2009, about what it took to make it to the top, and then contrast that with more recent alums who set course records in 2017 to see how the culture has grown to allow for such consistent excellence. We ask them how they deal with the pressure of so much success, what it's like being 'the bad guys' and how they see the future of buggy changing, or whether they will win indefinitely until the end of time.
