S2E4 - David Modigliani
Episode Notes Where were you the day Biden was declared President-elect? We were huddled around our microphones ready to digest the events of the week with skilled documentary filmmaker, David Modigliani. David broke onto the scene with Crawford, a film about the people of the small Texas town, in the wake of President George W. Bush's relocation amid his announcement for his presidential candidacy. Many are also familiar with his most notable 2019 HBO Documentary, Running with Beto, which traces the campaign of Beto O'Rourke - a candidacy which inspired many and came close to turning a red state blue. More recently, David released the documentary short, Dress Rehearsal, which examined the first real attempt to organize for a campaign at the outbreak of the pandemic and explores how organizers and activists tackled voter suppression to bring out an upset win in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. David tells us his take on the presidential election, some favorite listens and watches, and shares the story of how he first met with presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke. Go ahead and jump in to this intriguing chat to cure your election hangover! ~ Be sure to check out our new FB @ facebook.com/ChillingOTS
