In this episode, I present what I discovered as I was deconstructing my Christian beliefs. Most Christians I know, especially the ones deconstructing or who have left the faith all together could not come to terms with the character of God from the old testament being a good and loving "father." It's riddled with bloodshed, vengeance, and abuse. Understanding the Canaanite Pantheon helped me to better understand who the god of the Israelites is and why they are not my Almighty. I think if we're able to separate the two there can be more healing in the church and in our culture. "Are YOU ready for the Great Ascension?""God placed it on my heart to tell you....""I have the key to your awakening...so follow me!"As an Exvangelical I'm witnessing many harmful tactics in the modern Spiritual Movement that are familiar from my Fundamentalist Christian background. Fear is being used as a catalyst for building a following, to be more polarizing, to lay claim as a "Leader" in the movement when real leaders point out that each person is their own spiritual authority. The key to the Kingdom lies within each of us. This episode touches on the dangers of falling prey to this "Great Ascension," how to come from a place of curiosity, how to sniff out Spiritual abuse, and how we can usher in a better world out of actual LOVE which is a high vibration over fear which is low.  The key question is how can we as deconstructing Christians move in a more spiritual way without continuing to use harmful tactics ingrained in us?

In this episode, Hannah talks about her perspective of the word "Sin" and "Sinner" and how it bears no weight on a person's identity.  This word is used to control and instill fear which ultimately hinders our ability to deeply connect with the Divine and live a joy-filled life here on Earth. Your identity is no more a sinner than you are a walker, driver, breather.
