EP016: How to use affirmations the right way.
Do you use affirmations? Some people swear by them while others completely discredit them. I invite you to try them for yourself by following my guidelines after the show and make your own conclusions. Affirmations were the very first practice that I was introduced to when I began transforming my life. However, they are governed by certain principles and being unaware of those principles can negatively affect you and prevent you from attaining your desired results. At first, thinking they were just positive statements that I needed to repeat endlessly, I failed miserably. With time, through trial and error, I finally understood what it takes to create an affirmation that really can have a positive impact and create tangible changes. In this episode I help you understand how to use affirmations the right way by answering the following questions: Do affirmations really work? How to word the perfect affirmation? How to use affirmations? How many affirmations should I use? Thank you for listening to the show. If you enjoy today’s episode please share it with your family and friends. I would also love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and questions. EP013: Why I Think Everyone Should Have a Bucket List?
Only one week into 2017 and statistics suggest that by now most people have already given up on the New Year’s resolutions and goals. While many factors may be responsible for people giving up on the pursuit of their objectives, I believe that one of the main reasons for this change of heart is that too often, individuals set goals that aren’t their own. Therefore, falling back into unconscious patterns, boredom, and frustration. What’s the solution? In this episode, I will share why I believe everyone should have a bucket list before anything else. I will also explain how I believe it can be helpful and useful, not only in the pursuit of dreams, but in finding joy and enthusiasm. Thank you for listening to the show. If you enjoy today’s episode please share it with your family and friends. I would also love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and questions. Yearly, during this time, people around the world make new resolutions that they hope to keep and every year many fail to make it past the first three weeks of January. Of course, there are a few factors responsible for the failure to keep up with said resolutions but I think one of the biggest reasons is not having a powerful vision. Thank you for listening to the show. If you enjoy today’s episode please share it with your family and friends. I would also love to hear your thoughts, suggestions and questions. EP011: Looking Back What do You See? End of the Year Evaluation
As the year draws to an end, it’s only natural to look back and make a review of the past twelve months. Without a doubt, this has been an interesting year. While a lucky few are looking forward to 2017 and have an action plan that they are eager to put into place - many people are scared and confused. Be it because of the current situation of things in the world or because they have no real direction and can only see or expect more of the same. Today, I hope to help you step away from the nasty mind movies that keep you in a fearful state. The truth is that you cannot create any positive changes in your life and in our world from a place of fear and confusion. Life is uncertain and while that might feel uncomfortable, you cannot fight uncertainty. The only reasonable thing you can do, is take charge of your own life and by doing that not only will you create a better life for yourself but you will participate in creating a better future for us all. In order to take charge of your life and make positive changes this coming year, you must first do a complete evaluation of where you have been, where you are and where you wish to go. In this episode, I explain why it’s important to do a thorough analysis of your past year in order to succeed moving forward. I also share with you simple techniques that will make the process easier. Thank you for listening to the show. If you enjoy today’s episode please share it with your family and friends. I would also love to hear your thoughts, suggestions and questions. (Photo by Ian Schneider via unsplash)

EP010: How Can Your Attitude Transform Your Life?
Would you say you have a positive or a negative attitude? Contrary to what people usually believe; the circumstances, situations and people in your life are not responsible for your positive or your negative attitude. You are the only one responsible for your beliefs, perspectives, and behaviors. Every day you have the power to choose whether to have a positive or a negative attitude. It’s always a choice. People who are inclined to negative thinking often allow their minds to run amok with their thoughts and feelings, all the while expecting the worse scenarios or their terrible mind movies to manifest. No wonder most feel overwhelmed, stressed and depressed. While a critical thinking can sometimes be helpful in taking decisions or making plans, negative thinking patterns are never conducive to any long-term positive outcomes, be it in yourself or in the world around you. On the other hand, people who cultivate a positive thinking pattern have positive expectancies, find solutions in difficult situations, and are able to trust in better prospects. They enjoy better mental and physical health, healthier relationships and attract greater opportunities. We all live in the same world, witness the same things and have some good days and bad days, but our attitude towards life will determine the quality of our experiences. In order to enjoy your life and create a positive experience for yourself and others, it’s important that you take charge of your mindset. You will be amazed at how everything in your life will improve from cultivating a positive attitude. In this episode, I show how your attitude shapes your world and I help you understand how it can transform your reality. I end by sharing a few techniques to help you improve your outlook and embrace a more positive outlook. (Photo by Ryan Mcguire via gratisography)

EP009: How to Overcome the Holiday Blues When Depression Wants to Overrule Happiness?
When we think about the holidays, many of us think about family gatherings, festivities, beautiful decorations and treasured traditions. But unfortunately, for many, this time of the year is a very difficult, stressful, and depressing time. The holiday blues can be triggered by countless things. Some will experience seasonal affective disorder (SAD), some will feel nostalgic or regretful, some will be lonely or homesick, and some will have worries caused by different issues such as family obligations or financial hardships. Going through difficult times is hard enough, but feeling down during this time of the year and seeing everyone else rejoicing and being festive can be really tough. In this episode, I will share some practices that will improve anyone’s way of life but that will also help overcome the holiday blues. EP008: 7 lessons adults can learn from children.
As a mom of two amazing children, I have had the great privilege of guiding them and teaching them everything that I can. However, I can honestly say, that these two are also incredible teachers who have taught me countless lessons and continue to teach me more every day. As adults, we are expected to behave, talk and act in a certain way in order to be considered mature or taken seriously. Too often, letting loose or being goofy is frowned upon and we are met with accusing looks and comments about being too childish. As we suppress or repress our inner child we grow to be narrow-minded, aloof and rigid. Children have a lot to offer and they can help us nurture a part of ourselves that needs to be expressed – the child within. I don’t agree with the school of thought that adults have all the answers and I believe we have a lot to learn from younger minds. As we enter the holiday season, it is a fantastic opportunity to allow ourselves to be young at heart once again. In this episode, I share 7 lessons we can all learn from children in order to recapture a more youthful perspective and enjoy life a little more. (Photo by Leo Rivas-Micoud via unsplash)

EP007: Can we practice self-love without being selfish?
When looking into the subject of self-love I have found that people always blame lack of time as an excuse for not practicing the art of being loving to oneself. In the world of today, anyone could agree that most people lead very demanding lives. Always pulled right and left by the demands of our careers, our families, our activities, and our calendars. So, that could be a valid reason, however, if you ask people who lead very quiet lives with minimal demands why they choose not to practice self-love, they will also claim that time is the culprit. In my experience, time is rarely faulty, yet the fear of seeming selfish is mainly to blame. In this episode, I answer the question “Can we practice self-love without being selfish?” I begin by explaining that the vast majority of us grew up learning that saying no or wanting to indulge ourselves were acts of selfishness. Then I clearly define the difference between being selfish and practicing self-love. I also go on and explain why it is important to give ourselves love. Finally, I end by giving 5 techniques to invite self-love into your life and to put it into practice right away. EP002: Why Should I Change?
This episode is part one of a 3-part miniseries on change. In part one, I answer the question: "Why should I change?” by showing how it is imperative to take responsibility and to live a chosen life instead of a borrowed life. I also ask some important questions: What advice would you offer to the person that is the most important to you if they were living your life as it is currently? Or, knowing what your life would become, what advice would you give to the little child you were? What would you do differently, if you truly loved yourself without judgments? When did you decide that you did not deserve to be happy, that it was ok - or even acceptable - to sacrifice, perhaps the only life you will ever have? Finally, I suggest recording your process and progress with the help of a tool, such as a journal. ( Photo By Vincent van Zalinge via unsplash)
