011 Productivity: When Things Work Out, Thoughts and Strategies
"When you wish up on a star makes no difference who you are" and prayer just to be sure then maybe you will be in the right frame of mind to endure a productive day. But seriously, with out getting to airy fairy and all it beats the gloom and doom for sure.I had such a great day getting things done that had long been on my list that I thought I would share my perspective in hopes that it helps you in some way as well.So while you are chewing on that elephant or throwing spaghetti against the wall maybe it couldn't hurt to hear a few of my take outs and thoughts as I describe how the day went and then offer up 6 strategies I used that seemed to work. Movies MentionedAmerican Flyers (1985) - IMDb website. (My apologies to Kevin Bacon for saying he was a cast member in this movie. It was actually Kevin Costner. I was confused.)Res Firma Mitescere Nescit - YouTube video of the exact scene in American Flyers where Res Firma Mitescere Nescit is described. (Translation: If You've Got It Up, Keep It Up!)Quotes Mentioned“Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us just get up and go to work.”― Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft“If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done.”― Bruce Lee“Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it.”― Theodore Roosevelt6 Strategies to ProductivityGood rest (R.E.M. Sleep if possible).Prepare as much as you can in advance.Be willing to make adjustments if it makes sense to.Look at adversity as a opportunity to make improvements.Once you are on a roll keep on a roll.Keep asking; what more can I do?

010 Personal Clarity : Lessons from Monkeys and Saint Paul
Recently I realized personal clarity is a misnomer where clarity seems to follow a path of uncertainty long before it ever renders value as a clear direction.  It’s more likely to recognize clarity after making several attempts to accomplish something where you figure out what works and disregard what doesn’t.More likely you will find clarity is more reflective than predictive in its nature where experience is the result that delivers the expected outcome. In this episode I share my thoughts on the subject after reflecting upon a statement I made nearly a year ago. Interestingly enough I am still on the journey for clarity where the answer still eludes me. Article Mentioned7 Steps to Gaining Personal Clarity Through Strategic Abandonment - by Tony TeegardenScripture Mentioned1 Corinthians 9:24-27  - NIV Translation, Bible.comRelated StoriesStruggling For Clarity - By Russ Hess

007 Hedging Against Depression
I am pod-casting in the middle of a storm which a perfect analogy for this episode, sirens, and loud mufflers included this show demonstrates the life mix of craziness we all find ourselves in. Yet the important thing to remember is that it all has a toll on our life and when discouragement and disappointment sets in we have the perfect storm for depression. I share my thoughts on the subject and hope it is helpful as I too am battling with depression as well. This podcast is timely in hopes that wherever you are or whatever you are going through it will reach you in your time of need to know you are not alone and that others, like you, are seeking and reaching for answers as well.  I am not trained in mental illness but I do have a few tricks that keep me going where I can carry on with my life and yearn for progress even if it is small.ArticlesDwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Opens Up About His Battle With Depression – Huffington PostDepression: How You Label Determines How You Feel – Tim Farriss, The Four Hour Work Week BlogMoviesCast Away (2000) – with Tom HanksForrest Gump (1994) – with Tom HanksGroundhog Day (1993) – with Bill MurrayBooks AuthorsViktor Frankl (1905 – 1997) – Wikipedia   Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl – WikipediaCorrie Ten Boom (1892 – 1983) – Wikipedia   The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom – WikipediaHotline Helpful InformationDepression and Bipolar Support Alliance – DBSA Website

006 Refocusing My Change Up
In my first review of this podcast it made me think I was just being a whiny butt. Yet mysteriously my perspective ends up delivering an unexpected value. I start out asking you to reflect on your life in this episode and to think about what matters. I then sympathize with you in your journey as I travel on mine. As I discuss, in part, where my journey is leading me next I have to remain bit silent with exact details simply because I have not been given permission to publish them yet. However, I will tell you that it involves me discussing the current job market details of my local area in comparison with those of other metropolitan areas to briefly demonstrate how they may be different. I also call you to reason with me upon building a community of dialogue where we can encourage and share lessons learned about our paths that help lead us to the next level. You will also want to listen up when I start talking about relationships as I can tell you from experience you really don’t want to miss the majority of those special times that don’t ever come back around. I go long in this episode but I am pretty sure you will relate to what is being said especially as I share with you authentically.Adventures in Imperfect Living - Greg and Jennifer WillitsSmart Passive Income - Pat FlynnPodcast Answer Man - Cliff RavenscraftFreakonomics Episode on BoredomSecrets Of the Millionaire Mind  - T. 005 Corpus Christi Bound? (Part 2 of 2)
This episode is a continuation of episode 4. You may want to go back and listen to 4 first. However, if you like your listening order to be more like a crossword puzzle then be my guest by all means. This episode, Part 2 of 2, is about having hope in your change up so I talk about the need to stabilize environments to free yourself up to do what you want instead of what you have to do. Really this means trimming the fat out of your life.  After reading “The Four Hour Work Week” by Timothy Farriss I learned that you don't need all the things you think you need to live happily. Additionally, one of Tim's go-to books for this is by his recommendation, called "Vagabonding" by Rolf Potts.I explain one of my longtime sayings that helps me to understand why some things seem to be clearer to those who are not a the center of the issue by discussing the "Forest for the Trees Effect" as well as why motivation seems evades most of us by describing "The One Man, One Leg Butt Kicking Contest Principle" where opportunity and change widely avoided by us as we seek to achieve a better life. The Four Hour Work Week - WebsiteRabbi Daniel Lappin - WebsiteDonald Miller's - Storyline Blog

004 Corpus Christi Bound? (Part 1 of 2)
In this episode I there is a big question about the Corpus Christi change up. I kind get lost in thoughts in my decisions and journeys. Pieces of golden nuggets are scattered through out this episode which is why I split it in to two parts. When breaking through with incremental action it is vital to be crystal clear on what want to accomplish. With experience, I discuss this matter. Committing to a goal is important and gaining traction on them is key. So being creative in your learning to enhance your speed of implementation is far better than traditional routes of knowledge engagements. In this, I define some poplar hacks to blast your mind full of knowledge saving you time and money so you can gain momentum and quick results.
