Air Date: Feb 19, 2017 In this episode: In the past, I've questioned why reading "through the bible in a year" was needed (I didn't want to "rush through" for the sake of saying I read it.)--I've always been a "let the Holy Spirit lead" kind of bible reader when it comes to studying God's Word. However, I just came away from a 2-day Women's conference that has altered my opinion about this. While reading the word in bulk won't get me the deep study I desire, it will get the Word in my heart. My question is this: Can I alternate the "one-year bible plan" between listening to it on audio and sitting down and physically reading the Word? I don't care what the answer is--I'm completely open to the truth to this question: Which translation of the bible is truest to the original meaning? It might be better asked in the opposite form---is there a translation that has really watered down the original meaning that I should avoid?
