Polish My Pitch Podcast episode forty six with Josh Perry, Founder
Today, I met Josh Perry and polished his elevator pitch. Josh’s pitch was very brief so I suggested that we dive deeper into a defined niche, in particular an industry he’s targeting. The reason why I make people pick a well-defined industry is because a pitch is your starting point, the tip of the iceberg of your whole marketing strategy. People only self-gather in large numbers by industry or interest. They don’t self-gather by mindset or how much money they make.  Pick one industry to target. Next, I asked Josh what the costliest problem is that he solves for his target group. I asked him some questions to drill down to the exact pain that his customer’s need solved.  Finally, I suggested Josh finish his pitch by stating how he helps solve his target markets pains and I demonstrated how statistics can show his audience exactly who he works with and the exact problem he solves for them.   If you thought what Josh went through was a great experience, complete the application to be my next guest. Polish My Pitch Podcast episode forty five with Shannon Procise, President
Join me today as we welcome Shannon Procise and polished her elevator pitch. I loved that Shannon’s pitch was very concise.  I suggested that she start her pitch with a customer pain. I asked her to pinpoint one industry that she works with the most. We then drilled into the number one most expensive problem that her services solve. We discussed what happens when her target market isn’t able to have their pain solved, in Shannon’s case, saving her clients time and money. Finally, I demonstrated how adding a metric can help illustrate the true value of her service. For example, 80% of coaches can’t grow their business because they can’t get speaking engagements how I help is to get them media placements.    If you thought what Shannon went through was a great experience, complete the application to be my next guest. Polish My Pitch Podcast episode forty four with Arjun Rai, Founder & CEO
In today’s episode, I had the pleasure of polishing the elevator pitch for Arjun Rai. I loved that Arjun opened by talking about solving a pain that his old school competitors don’t. I suggested he focus on the consequences of that pain for his customers.   To get at the heart of the business problem he solves I asked Arjun a few probing questions determine the number one benefit his business offers people. In this case, he saves people time. Adding a statistic or metric to his pitch really helps illustrate the benefit to his customers.  I also suggested he focus on targeting one industry, in his case podcasters. These two suggestions help Arjun create both a winning one liner and a polished elevator pitch.    If you thought what Arjun went through was a great experience, complete the application to be my next guest. Polish My Pitch Podcast episode forty three with Molly Trotter, Speaker & Coach
Join me today as we welcome Molly Trotter and polish her pitch. I loved that Molly started her pitch with a focus on her clients rather than on herself.   Molly’s pitch included two areas of expertise, messaging and lead generation. My first recommendation is for her to focus on the area of expertise which solves the most painful or common problem that her clients come to her with. We were able to identify that for her this is lead generation.    I then pressed her for more information on who she helps. I asked Molly if there’s a specific industry that she wanted to help more? Molly works with coaches and consultants. To go deeper, she would need to focus on a specific type of consultant.   If you thought what Molly went through was a great experience, complete the application to be my next guest. Polish My Pitch Podcast episode forty two with David Russell, CEO & Senior Consultant
In today’s episode, I met David Russell and polished his elevator pitch. Wow, his pitch was almost perfect. I had a few minor tweaks to offer. When I pressed him for a little more information about his prospect’s field, I found out he specializes in the IT industry. This was the missing piece.
