Crafty AF
Crafting is having a major moment with celebs sharing their hobbies and some even turning them into businesses. A pioneer of this was our own Caviar Dreamer, The Marge, with her business Macbeth Collection back in 1999. Craft focused platforms Etsy and Pinterest continue to expand and report huge revenue growth. On top of that it is a fact the crafting makes you happier and healthier, reducing stress hormones and improving cognitive function! In this week’s episode we talk to Lindsey Peers, owner of Craft Studio NYC, a celeb fave spot for creating, crafting and curating happiness. Lindsey was struggling to work 3 jobs on top of studying in NYC when the slip of a business card changed her life. Saddled with student debt, a curious Lindsey visited the storefront and forever changed her trajectory. Crafty by nature and clearly ballsy, Lindsey pitched the then owner her creative ideas to revamp and grow the business. Her pitch was met with a proposal to take over. Lindsey took a huge leap of faith and her passion and commitment to excellence is what has ushered the Craft Studio into a new era over the past 15 years. She created a “Craft Studio TO GO” branch bringing classes, camps, and parties into homes and businesses, opened a second studio in Tribeca, a seasonal outpost in The Hamptons, created a Craft Studio craft kit line, and formulated partnerships with public and private schools and businesses and corporations all over the country. Lindsey survived pandemic parenting whilst keeping her business running and thrived continuing to grow Craft Studio NYC to bigger and better things all whilst keeping her culture of kindness. A mental health advocate and all around incredible, inspiring human this episode is exactly what you need to hear right now.      Topics: The hustle The pitch Takeover rollercoaster Business of creativity Trendy AF Mental health benefits Kindness culture Time management The 3 questions… What’s next for Lindsey Peers   https://www.craftstudionyc.com/    The Socials:  https://www.instagram.com/craftstudionyc/ https://www.instagram.com/caviardreamstunafishbudget/  https://www.instagram.com/therealmargaretjosephs/ https://www.instagram.com/thelifeofmrsb/     Produced by Dear Media.

Lexi's FAVORITE shoes come from talented designer Maria Gangemi, this week's guest. Learn Maria's best business tips, how she gets through challenges, and what excites her most about her booming business of Italian luxuries!
