This is Angela Percival and this is EP #44. Ange is the staff photographer at Arc'teryx and has been at for like 15 years(?). I met Ange in 2011 when I started working there and we were commuting buddies for a few years. Ange has been around the world for work and travel and we talk all about it. We talk about her inspiration, being meaningful and what role we all play in life, and what our contribution means to the world around us. She tells me how she watched her home town burn down around the family home while visiting her family back in Australia. We also discuss what being home really means and a bunch more. This is EP #43 with Ian McIntosh and Me. I first met Ian when I was the athlete manager for Whistler Blackcomb back around 2007 when the ski industry was in its prime.  Ian is a professional big mountain skier and has been sliding on two sticks since he was 2.  His ski career has taken him to the Freeride World Tour and made him a staple in the Teton Gravity Research (TGR) film family for more than a decade. He still travels to ski and film, but now balances his ski life with his growing family and stacking his guiding certs to plan for the future. I It was great to connect with Ian again and chat skiing, health, nutrition, aliens, being a dad and other stuff we will need to finish next time! This is Kyle Black and this is EP #42. I've known Kyle for a few years now, we met while working at Lululemon. We both lasted about a year there. Kyle has been in Whistler like 10 years I think and he currently manages a legendary snowboard shop here in Whistler, Showcase Snowboards. Mark Abma = EP #38. I am going to assume if you are skier who follows skiing,  you know who Mark is, but just in case..  Mark is a professional skier and entrepreneur and seems to love being outside more than inside. His segment in MSP Seven Sunny Days (TV On Radio - Wolf Like Me song) from 2007 is for sure in my top 5 favourite seggies ever! That movie was also the first time I got to work with Mark. He was one of the first I heard of to convert cooking oil into fuel for his "monster" truck. We talk a little about skiing, but Mark fills me in on his personal wellness and health focus as well has his new project on Gambier Island with longtime friend Chris Turpin. On the line with EP #36 and Smiley Nesbitt. Smiley is currently a realtor in Vancouver, but before that he was a few things including pro skier and could sink a turn better than most. Still can, I am sure. If you are from anywhere in Quebec, you probably have good style and as you can tell in this video his style followed him out west. He's one of the first pro's I met when I landed my first gig in the industry. I looked up to his rebelliousness and humour toward, well, most things and was excited to have him on the show. Been a while, eh?  This is EP #35 with Tristan Merrick.  Tristan and I met like 15 years ago while working for Whistler Blackcomb.  Over the years we worked more closely during our time with the iconic Crankworx mountain bike festival in Whistler where Tristan was an athlete turned announcer. His career has taken him around the globe announcing action sports events from mountain biking, to motocross, to trophy trucks, etc... He is now a local freelance producer working at a pretty well known yoga brand based in Vancouver. And, he is fresh into dad life.  Weak internet, odd audio, but a really good chat!  Hope you enjoy!
