Tracy Kessler One Life Can Make a Difference
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and mother figures in this world. It was a sleepless night when I sat up in bed, and against my better judgment, I reached for my phone and began scrolling TikTok. I stumbled on a video of a woman saying, “Pain is the touchstone of spiritual growth." This saying got me… she - got - me. At this moment, I had been battling the effects of SADD. Seasonal Affective Disorder Depression. Over the years, I have been affected by this from time to time. It seemed like this past winter, the grips of this disorder kept pulling me down.Soon I was captivated by the positivity of this delightful woman. She was raw, open, and willing to share her story. She said that “pain is the touchstone to spiritual growth.” Tracy reminded me that to become stronger, I needed to go through feeling the feels. She reminded me gratitude is a touchpoint. Movement is key to helping your mind come through the fog. The road to putting SADD behind me is one step at a time. It is also about knowing that I needed to get help and prioritize MY well-being. I was elated to have the opportunity to speak with Tracy Kessler and share her success story with you! Our conversation centers on the power of healing that comes from surrendering. We talked about the obstacles that we encounter in life that help us work on the “character defects” plaguing us. Tracy is open and honest about the tragedy in her life that leads her to her current life at the beach. She knows that we are all in the process of becoming what God wants us to be. This episode is special to me because I found many commonalities in Tracy's story and my own. She is a New Yorker with a golden tender heart. Even with being busy running two companies, Tracy is an advocate for making the world a better place. She founded the “Kindness Grows Here” movement to enlighten the world that success can be achieved in parallel with kindness and that “Nice guys do NOT finish last."Want to connect with Tracy?Join her on these ClubHouse Rooms: Midweek Pep Talk; Wednesdays 10:30am EST Event Bites; Wednesdays 11:30amEST Sisterhood of the Traveling CH; Thursday 11amEST High-Performance Habits; Thursday 6pmEST (P.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASA! Listen to our year in review
Happy Birthday to Casa DeConfidence! Welcome to a special episode of the Casa DeConfidence Podcast. On today's show, we celebrate our 1st Birthday. Today we look back at our first year as a podcast. We have had some incredible guests join us at our Casa DeConfidence. Many of these individuals have shared their unique journeys with us. We have learned so much from our guest: Valerie Hager taught us the concept of being "believing mirrors" for one another. This concept is from the book Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype. From Katie Jeffcoat, we learned about Intentional Margins®, she is still running the coziest coffee shop on the internet, and I love that she is my friend IRL now. Most of our guests have shared their moms have been the biggest inspiration in their life. I love hearing that the most demanding job on earth of being a mom continues to impact so many lives. Speaking of MOMs, Dr. Laura Jagget continues to help others by teaching them 'How to Life' in her Mommanars on her Podcast and Youtube channel. Some of our guests have become dear friends. Mindy and the Passionistas, Nancy, and Amy. Melissa Myers, a great supporter of the show, and Claudia Taboada and Michelle Cunningham have also written new books since being on the show. During this year, we hosted some of my mentors, like Corinne Crabtree from the NoBS Weightloss Program and Lauren D'Angelo, who helped me get certified as a yoga teacher. During this episode, we also made a few major announcements: We have officially launched a standalone website for the podcast. You can now find all things Casa DeConfidence atCasaDeConfidencePod.comWe are also launching a unique membership site just for Casa Insiders. This membership will bring you exclusive content like more episodes of Peaceful You, exclusive extended interviews with our guest, "Ask Julie and Dan," Live episodes, and more. Your invitation to join us will be coming to your inbox soon. Lastly, we want to THANK YOU for being a loyal listener and helping us make this year one of the most memorable ones in our lives.

Adrian Boysel - From at risk youth to a successful thriving life.
Adrian Boysel has one of the most incredible stories I had ever heard. Before sharing the stage with today's most influential names like Russell Brunson, Tom Bilyeu, and Les Brown, Adrian found himself homeless and struggling to stay afloat. During our conversation, Adrian opened up about his troubled childhood. His life story could easily be a made for the big screen movie. He overcame childhood trauma, abuse, and homelessness. As a young man, Adrian fought his way out of a cycle of poverty and addiction. He used the seeds of faith planted in him by his grandmother to help guide him away from dark paths and find the road to success. I was honored that during our interview, he shared something deeply personal that he said he had not shared anywhere else. Adrian shared his story so candidly because he knows that owning our past is the first step in healing and breaking the hold it has on our present and our future. Early in his career, Adrian's hunger to be the best led him to be mentored by more than four industry-leading titans. A decade later, his career has evolved from graphic artist and printer to a digital marketing trainer, coach, and speaker. Now, Adrian is a wildly successful and influential businessman. He has a wife and daughter he adores, but most importantly, he is committed to mentoring at-risk youth.

Isidro Salas from 10K Tocos Visit Our Casa
We live in a world where we have lived entirely different lives from the one we are living. At Casa DeConfidence, we want to share the stories of others of different backgrounds and lives. We aim that by sharing diverse cultures and individuals, we can appreciate the commonalities that make us more similar. After all, we are all part of the human race.In this episode, I address the sensitive matter of Rachel Hollis and how she has been in the news lately for her social media videos and the backlash it soon followed. I felt I needed to be transparent with how I think about this topic. As many of you know, I have been a follower of Rachel Hollins and have even been a part of her latest Book Launch Team. As a woman of color, I cannot be silent and fail to address my feelings on the matter. My sentiments on this matter run deep and have many levels. The RH matter also leads me to address Lee McMillan's death, a beautiful young woman I have followed on Social Media for a long time. Tragically Lee took her own life in late March. Lee, like so many, had been suffering from depression and shared a heartfelt video regarding her struggle. I shared this because it is so important that we remember that WORDS matter in our current times. What we say, even if it behind the screen, can have an impact. If you have words to give, remember to be uplifting, and if you must hold someone accountable, do it from a place of truth and let kindness be your guide. This post contains some sensitive subject matter. If you or anyone you know is in crisis or emotional distress, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800–273–8255 #speakupfolee https://www.instagram.com/p/CNBQ1Tssd0T/?utm_source=ig_embed OUR GUEST: I am delighted that I shared a conversation with an amazing #AMIGO.He is a master storyteller and in his podcast, he transports what it was like to grow up with his family as the Son of a Taquero. Isidro Salas is the host and producer of the popular 10,000 TACOS PODCAST.He grew up in a taco truck and has spent more than 10,000 hours making and eating tacos. He shares short stories about his experience and the lessons learned from those experiences. In the process, Isidro tells us what tacos and the culture can teach us about everyday life.https://www.tenthousandtacos.comhttps://www.instagram.com/10ktacos/

Scott Mason - My NYC neighbor and resilient, persevering friend!
Scott’s life story is one of profound resilience, perseverance, and triumph against challenge. He was born in England but adopted by and raised as the son of a Midwestern civil servant and a factory worker. As a bookish bi-racial child raised by African-Americans in a conservative rural community, he never encountered others like him to look up to or act as mentors, And so he grew up playing with crawdads and turtles alone in a nearby creek, looking up at the moon from the backroads in wheat fields — knowing there had to be more.Kids like Scott weren’t supposed to make something of themselves. And on his journey, he faced tremendous — almost overwhelming — odds, including physical violence and obstacles presented by those who did not believe that he could or should succeed. But thanks to a few inspiring teachers who believed in him, a lot of hard work, and a dash of luck, Scott eventually made it to New York City, where he graduated from Columbia Law School, and where he has lived ever since.Scott’s history and triumphs against adversity led to unlikely and unexpected success as an attorney, government official, nonprofit executive, entrepreneur, and community leader in one of the toughest cities on earth. His journey has flown in the face of those who believed that individuals like him — working folks, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community — could not and should not succeed, let alone lead. His ability to jump over barriers, consistently perform at the highest levels across professional sectors and repeatedly reinvent himself have given his message genuine authority and intellectual heft. And it has given him a zealot’s passion for ensuring that others never lose the internal fuel that will rocket them to ultimate levels of personal satisfaction and achievement.Connect with Scotthttps://www.facebook.com/scott.mason.1291https://www.instagram.com/s.scott_mason/https://www.speakerscott.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/smason1/

Body Positive fashion and travel blogger Callie Richards
It was late one night, and I could not sleep. They say that you should not reach for the phone because your device's blue light will keep you up. Despite knowing this, I grabbed my phone and opened TikTok.As I mindlessly scrolled through cleaning videos, cute puppies, and people pointing at words on their screen as they danced, my #foryoupage stumbled across a video from this young woman. When I first went to her website, I was captivated by this quote: “I think cheese and churros deserve their own food groups and La Croix, champagne, and coffee are basically the only liquids I need to survive.”I have found a kindred spirit. Callie Richards is a Southern California-based body-positive fashion and travel blogger who helps women discover style and travel that FITS their bodies and their lifestyles so they can live their best, most authentic lives! She test and then shares the products and experiences that respect diversity and inclusiveness so that you can shop and travel with confidence without all the research!I knew that her infectious positive attitude was something that I wanted to share with my listeners and the world. My initial instinct was not wrong. I may sound like an old lady saying this, but it is true. I wish that I had as much confidence, wisdom, and self-love as this incredible young woman at her age.Callie loves to travel, is devoted to her family, and her favorite color is glitter and her second favorite is pink. LOVE HER!I know that after you listen to this interview, you will fall in love with her as much as I have.I continue to be on the road to self-love, and this conversation has allowed me to continue to embrace myself at any size. It also reminded me that we should not wait to be our future selves, to love ourselves. We need to learn to love who we now. This is how we become a better version of ourselves in the future. Corinne Crabtree NoBS WOMAN and Julie's Coach!
In today's episode of the Podcast, we have my coach, the incomparable Corinne Crabtree. I first found Corinne on the boards of a weight loss program that will remain nameless. Over the years, I have had the privilege of watching her grow, evolve, and most of all, change the lives of thousands of women. As my mentor and coach, I attribute much of my success to her no-nonsense approach. Over the years. Corinne has coached me in so many areas of life. She has helped me grow and learn to manage my mind around grief, work issues, and relationships. It was because of her support and inspiration that I decided to become a certified coach too. Corinne lost 100lbs after a lifetime of obesity. She knows what it's like to lose weight. She gets that our most significant obstacles are the little things. How do you do what you say you will do? How do you quit eating when it tastes so good? What do you say when someone cooks you your FAVORITE foods, but they're not on the plan? She lost weight with small changes in how she ate and lived, but mainly she changed how she THOUGHT. Her top-ranked Podcast, Losing 100lbs with Corinne Crabtree, helps over 300,000 women every week learn how to lose weight the way they want to live their life. If weight loss is your goal for the new year, Corinne and the No BS program is the way to go. Her community comes with more than just weigh-loss tips and advice.
