#56 - Our Romance with Mindset Is Keeping Us Sick
Do you know anyone in your life who’s just completely unhappy because they’re totally ungrateful? I don't! What I do see is that the biggest problems we face, such as guilt, shame, grief, and fear (anywhere from anxiety to panic) are often called mindset issues when a new mindset may help but not heal. That's why I say that we have a romance with mindset work and it's keeping us sick. Approaching terrain where we have no experience, to address something hard that’s in a blind spot - that can be scary. It takes courage. “Where do I begin?” That question truly takes courage to ask. And this episode provides some insight to that question and more. For everyone out there struggling with why "changing your mindset" hasn't helped, and suffering in the process, this episode may help! #55 - The Shortcut Is Go Deeper
"There aren't necessarily any shortcuts, but you can go faster." Agree or disagree? In today's short show, I offer that there is a shortcut, and it's this: Go deeper. And also, how deep you go determines the outcome you create. There's only one reason why inner problems (blocks, anxiety, disconnection, doubt, confusion, fear) linger: You didn't go deep enough. If the issue originates within, the resolution lies within as well. The right strategy will help you release it for good as long as you go all the way down... What do you think? Is there a place in your life you know you hold back even though in others you leave it all on the field? #54 - Ego Death by Story: Wisdom Loves Peace
Today we have something really special. I create in 9’s, so every 9th show closes a cycle, completes a minor journey in our great journey together. This is a universal truth: completion allows new beginnings. Death is a vital part of life, not something to fear. Some of us had someone to read us stories when we were little. Some of us didn’t. What I’d like to do is give 9th shows over to the telling of classic children’s stories. All you have to do is show up, sit back, and prepare to enjoy. I hope by reading you a story today you can receive something beloved but forgotten; maybe you can recover something that was once thought to be lost forever. For everyone who's paid the fee that comfort exacts, today's story is about cherishing our liberty, being proactive with gratitude, and the wisdom it takes to appreciate peace. I share with you today, Aesop's Fable, The Frogs Who Wanted a King. Show notes: https://www.palladiummind.com/calm-confident-happy-podcast/wisdom-loves-peace

#53 - Inner Peace through Self Knowing with Christine Agha
The conversation with today's guest Christine is such a treat to share with you. Christine is a mindset coach who is also an Energy Healer and Medium, dedicated to supporting others to be the best version of themselves. She has a very cheerful demeanor which really stands out to me in a world full of people taking themselves very seriously... The highlights of this conversation to me are really about connecting on the best response to heavy issues, and how to unburden ourselves. She also shares a lot of wisdom about the meaning and significance she derives from her connection to higher power. This episode could also be very helpful for anyone raising children into young adults today, and especially for the women in my community! Christine was such a joy to communicate with and I'm so very happy to share her with you on this Monday. I hope you'll join us. #52 - For the Men in Our Lives: A Thanksgiving Special
November is men’s health awareness month. This topic is IMPORTANT to me. In today's episode we dive into why men in our lives, our workplaces, our communities are more susceptible to suicide, and what each of us should do about it. What we don’t speak about, doesn’t change. What we don’t prioritize, doesn’t change. But when most "solutions" amount to coping and managing with anxiety and deeply seated unhappiness, would you be inspired to take action? I’m here to beat this drum again: It’s POSSIBLE to heal these mental health challenges completely. Anyone saying otherwise just hasn’t helped someone to do it. When people ask me why I specialize in working with men, among other things, this is the reason. Men are underserved in mental health. I specialize to hold open a door that most people don’t see is there. I specialize because the world is better when our men are present, emotionally powerful and adept, and free from the burdens that aren’t necessary to bear and actually aren't helping anyone. Share with someone who needs to hear this. Show notes: https://www.palladiummind.com/calm-confident-happy-podcast/mens-health-awareness-2021

#51 - The Crownless Again Shall Be King
There's a dynamic that's been going on for some time now in the world of self help. A dynamic instructing that giving is wrong when it happens at personal expense. This dynamic causes lions to de-claw themselves. Today's episode is about RE-EMPOWERING POWERFUL GIVERS. Because there’s a way of giving, even to the point of self sacrifice –such that it isn't a problem to solve, but a standard to aspire to. This is real power. You're not alone. Email me for support clearing the pain part of adhering to your values. Pain is a tool & a language I help people translate. #50 - A Strategic Approach to Happiness
In this episode I share one of my favorite memories of being a student at the US Air Force Academy - how I "broke" an academic simulation meant to demonstrate human nature through collaboration. Competition can make us rabid if we don’t stop to consider that maybe the stakes are not all they’re being broadcast to be. But Trust is the antidote. All it takes is one person to lead like that to let all the air out of the balloon. 18 years after the fact, I realize that this memory doubles as my vision of the future. It’s also a picture of the way the relationships in my life are structured. What about yours? Do you want that ease, that trust, that cooperation for yourself? How do you bring it about? It isn’t achieved through force – it isn’t achieved through convincing. It’s achieved one of us at a time - pulling the curtains back and turning the lights up on the fact that power isn’t something in short supply, but each of ours inherently. I'd love to know how this influences your thinking today, or how it helps you. Show notes: https://www.palladiummind.com/calm-confident-happy-podcast/strategic-happiness

#49 - Authentic Confidence
Most approaches to issues of Confidence fail for 1 of 2 reasons. Gaining awareness about when and how these variables are at play will allow you to make progress to every goal more quickly and easily. In today's episode we uncover what those are and how to remedy them. This is where gaining control over your own consciousness allows you to create change directly at the source, where it's needed: in the unconscious. Perhaps the biggest reason you haven't resolved the issue yet is simply for not using the right tool. Even the ability to consider this is an important step forward. #48 - Liberation, the Matrix, & Yoga Tights
Today I was getting dressed. I pulled on some athletic clothes, they didn’t fit the way they did a couple weeks ago. I thought about how much focus the idea of appearance can consume - without us even noticing it. This is a perfect example of the matrix effect. Attention following attention, instead of attention directing attention – like a big cat chasing its tail. This is what I mean when I talk about helping people get inner control. Liberation is about freedom from the spin cycle. Helping the king of the jungle orient beyond his own tail. So he can get on with his real purpose. Truth is, life doesn’t even really begin until we step out of this spin cycle. And the possibilities for creating outcomes really just BEGIN there. That’s where the fun truly begins too. #47 {BMT} - After Clarity
There's a reason that Clarity is one of the pillars of my framework, and discernment is a part of the process, a necessary skill to develop along the way... Discernment means you don't end up second guessing later, or realizing that you made a mistake months or years later. A classic example could be with forming new partnerships (personal or professional). Tune in to this episode for specifics about how to achieve self trust through the combination of bulletproof discernment and crystal clarity. #46 - Self Mastery & Inner Peace with Barry Brownstein, PhD
I couldn't be more excited to share our show with you today; my guest is Barry Brownstein. Barry is a PhD Economist and a Professor Emeritus of Economics & Leadership. He self-describes as working at the intersection of spirituality and the physical (economics), and as usual, the intersections are where the interest are. This is the first conversation that he and I ever had on a live call. Not minutes after jumping onto the video call, I realized there would be zero beats missed, and the content of our conversation was such that - if for no one other than my future self - I wanted to capture it and savor it later on. There was a lot of belly laughing, at one point early on I was incredibly moved even to tears when he shared a piece of his lens, his why. As the conversation progressed, it honestly just got better and better. It wasn't until the very end of our call that I actually invited Barry to be my guest on this show - "in the future". He was so generous and humble to offer that if I could find anything of value in the conversation we had just had, I was welcome to use it as well as to schedule with him again. We did in fact meet again and record again, but this one feels complete in its own right! #44 - Another Dimension to Power
As much as it’s true that personal power is something that each of us already have – like a locked box all our own and a matching key in our pocket – A lot of people today don’t see the box, they don’t feel the key, and they can’t remember what’s inside of it. More than that though, they’ve been taught to be afraid of what’s in the box. As long as people are in fear states, they’re divorced from their own power. Today's episode is about the way I discovered what my own mission is, and a vision of what's possible in the world I'm imagining. This is what I’m working toward – a world where that fear is cleared out so everyone can fully access what’s in that box. I hope you enjoy this one. #43 {BMT} - Before Clarity
From my experience working with hundreds of clients to support their personal pursuit of clarity, most of us think of clarity as something to attain. But seeing it that way can be a little bit like trying to eat an elephant in one bite. What comes BEFORE clarity? Today's episode is a short journey - you could say a jaunt: a businessman's trip... About how often we look outside for answers when the answers are within, about how the gaps within ourselves are the reasons for that, and how the solution lies in subtraction, not addition. #42 Self Belief Declines to Buy into Contingencies
Today's episode is about being pulled in a direction that “appears” to be imprudent, despite well meaning advice to ignore our inner voice. What do we make of this fork in the road? I believe that putting our faith in "contingency" is the same as trusting in lack. Limitation often masquerades as prudence. For me, aside from feeling a deep longing to create Calm, Confident & Deliriously Happy, there was an equally deep knowing that the opportunity was to BREAK myself of contingencies. I didn’t know if it was possible to break myself of such attachment (and ultimately fear) at the time, but I recognized the calling to try all the same... thanks for joining me on Oahu's eastern shore for this episode. #40 - Thursday is the New Friday, with Joe Sanok
Joe Sanok is a Podcaster, a Consultant and Founder at Practice of the Practice, and Author of the book Thursday is the New Friday: How to work fewer hours, make more money, and spend time doing what you want. In this momentous book, Joe equips and empowers us with a practical, evidence-based methodology to create our own work schedule and dedicate more of our precious personal time to pursuing interests that inspire and uplift us, and spending more time with family and friends. As you'll experience first hand during our conversation, Joe doesn’t just write about a 4 day work week, he lives it. Time is his most precious asset, and I'm thinking it is probably yours too! It's so easy to get caught up in thinking that cash is king. And it's certainly important. But the person who rules their own schedule is envied by those with even the greatest of fortunes but no time freedom. Joe believes working for yourself in your own business (or at someone else's company for that matter) shouldn’t have to FEEL like a job. And working smarter and limiting the time you spend on things that don’t matter can help. #39 - Integrate Your Unconscious
“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend 55 minutes to determine the proper question.” — attributed to Albert Einstein Most of us can effectively handle problems we can clearly identify. When the issue is known, we can work to resolve it. But when the block is intangible, unknown, or an issue of our perception more than one of reality, it's another story. One of the most glaring reasons that people tell me they don’t resolve blocks - is because they don’t even know what the block is or where it came from. These are problems we can't even name. How do we bring consciousness to what is unconscious? That is exactly the right question to be asking... and that's what this episode is about. #38 - Take Control of Your Experience (feat. the Sacred Neutral)
The way I see the world is in systems. Natural systems in this universe are not about high or low, right or wrong, but about equilibrium. Equilibrium rules. This is the most basic explanation for why everything we experience dualistically is in tension, and the truth behind everything experienced - the essence of it - is always going to be non-dual. Another way of describing an interaction with this reality, or a relationship with what truly IS, is Sacred Neutrality. Everything we do is co-created. When attachment to the story falls away, we can experience actual freedom of choice, and operate from a place of real desire. When you can see that, you’re in the seat of empowerment because you can actually do something about what's going on. #37 - Your Turn to Speak
Each of us have exclusive and sole responsibility for our emotional reactions. An common question I see lion-hearted people grapple with is, How long do I stay silent waiting for others to process angry emotions, or even to recognize their ownership over them? This is a really important question to be asking. Is there a better use of your life force than holding space for another person's blame, shame, or judgment? Is there a more powerful expression of your own values? What do you do instead? This is the subject of today's episode. I also share my vision for the future and what that future will require us to let go of. I am excited to see how it supports you.
