Existence or Autonomy with Roe v Wade
In this episode sisters Alex and Astrid return from vacation to discuss the Roe v Wade overturn and what that means for society. Sisters raise some questions and logistics that were not considered. This includes health complications, the rising healthcare cost, the formula shortage, amount of children in foster care currently homeless and much more. It is a difficult time for women and families alike. The power of choice is slowly being removed and America is blurring the lines between religion and state each day. Sisters are at a loss for words as to what to do next as it is highly dependent on the states. Do we want to go back in time when pro-lifers were blocking abortion clinic entrances? Do we want witness doctors being killed in cold blood because of their medical practices? Do we want absolve women of the power of choice for their healthcare needs? There is much at stake with the overturn of Roe v Wade and hopefully, the families who want to continue having choices on when and how to extend their families will find viable solutions during this unprecedented time.Sisters are open to hearing of possible solutions.Don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts:https://www.callyoursisterpodcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cys_podcast Facebook: Call Your Sister PodcastTwitter: @CYS_PodEmail: cysnation@gmail.comSupport the show

CYS Sisters Take Chicago
In this episode sisters Alexandra Hodge and Astrid Ferguson discuss their recent mini-vacation at Chicago, IL. They had the whole experience of visiting the Navy Pier, seeing the Chicago bean, and Boystown. They got to experience the LGBTQ+ community in a whole new way and loved the community of Chicago. This made the Memorial Day weekend one to remember and an excuse to visit once more.If you have not visited Chicago we definitely recommend exploring the many lake fronts, beach settings, bike ride San Francisco vibe, and the many restaurants with great food. The sisters had the luxury of staying with some of their close friends while riding in their TESLA. Which the sisters had their own likes and dislikes about the TESLA to share in this episode. Life is meant to be lived and explored and that is exactly what sisters Alexandra Hodge and Astrid Ferguson share in this episode.Don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts:https://www.callyoursisterpodcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cys_podcast Facebook: Call Your Sister PodcastTwitter: @CYS_PodEmail: cysnation@gmail.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/cyspodcast)Support the show

Have you noticed the decline in EQ?
In this episode sisters, Alexandra Hodge and Astrid Ferguson, discuss the top five characteristics of emotional intelligence and how the pandemic has caused a decline in social skills. Many of us have been noticing the over stimulation while in the office. We find the noise, small talk, and even the clock ticking as a distraction. This all has to deal with a decline in our social skills. It is only natural that after two years of socialization reduced to a mute button and a screen that most of us forgot to hold the door for each other as a sign of courtesy. Many have been watching the news of the Buffalo, NY racial hate crime to the Texas recent elementary school shooting while clinching our teeth. It is seriously scary out there. However, we can peel back the layers and discover underneath it all--an overlooked mental health condition. As sisters wrap up mental health awareness month, check out different ways you can raise your emotional intelligence. Being more emotionally intelligent helps us all become more aware of our emotions and foster more meaningful relationships with others. We cannot save or change everyone, but we can save each other some pain.Don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts:https://www.callyoursisterpodcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cys_podcast Facebook: Call Your Sister PodcastTwitter: @CYS_PodEmail: cysnation@gmail.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/cyspodcast)Support the show

And we're back!
After a couple of weeks of overcoming colds, company trips/engagements, and just life turning sisters Alexandra Hodge and Astrid Ferguson into  anti-social bums, they decided to come back for a little catch-up. As many are aware, Kevin Samuels passing along with more pressing matters like the supreme court voting on the case of Roe vs. Wade implications on women's bodies. While Kevin Samuels suggested that women who were over an 8 were the only women capable of catching a six-figure income earning man, he failed to highlight once again, that women bodies continue to be mans favorite topic of choice. Hence in the Roe vs. Wade leaning towards banning abortions claiming it is the "Christian" thing to do. While sisters do not necessarily believe in abortions they do believe that it should remain a woman's choice to have or not have children. Kevin Samuels passing is unfortunate. Sadly the women who he spoke about in a degrading manor, are neither moved nor concerned with his passing. That is something many are still unable to grapple with. So sisters simply say listen to your emotions and attend to them the best way you know how. Only you know what either of these important topics mean to you and strongly suggest you exercise your rights.Don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts:https://www.callyoursisterpodcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cys_podcast Facebook: Call Your Sister PodcastTwitter: @CYS_PodEmail: cysnation@gmail.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/cyspodcast) Support the showSupport the show

Are you competing or co-parenting?
In this episode sisters Alexandra hodge and Astrid Ferguson decide to weigh in on a clip from a fellow podcast that went viral. The aries and scorpio podcast shared a clip about a guest that stated "She would rather die on the side of the road than call her daughters father." Naturally, Alex and Astrid decided to share some of their own struggles with co-parenting and learn when to put egos aside for the best interest of their sons.Parenting is not easy for any parent. Hence, Alex shares the added layer of raising a an autistic child to the complexities and it makes it that much harder. Single moms are overwhelmed and should not have to do it all. The same can be said about single fathers. Although they are not highlighted as often. Co-parenting is harder to do when two parents are constantly competing and expectations on who should be doing what for the child exist. Ideally, both parents should be contributing to raise a child in a positive environment (in the same or different households). Even if both parents don't get along co-parenting can be achieved if the best interest of the child is prioritized. So listen and let us know what is getting in the way of your co-parenting.?Don’t forget to follow us on our social media accounts:https://www.callyoursisterpodcast.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cys_podcast Facebook: Call Your Sister PodcastTwitter: @CYS_PodEmail: cysnation@gmail.comSupport the show
