On summer weekends she and her partner run a taco truck on the Ocoee River.  She began her writing career in Lexington Kentucky, reading at open-mics, competing in poetry slams and, ultimately, performing with the Sisters Provocateur, a writing collective and performance troupe of made up of women writers. Her current obsession is whitewater canoeing, and she is most at peace exploring the space beyond her comfort zone on new rivers.
