07 Joyce Kahng, DDS – Orange + Magnolia Dental Studio – 12k Instagram followers
Dr. Kahng (or @joycethedentist as she is known on Instagram) has built a dental practice that’s modern, spa-like, and patient-focused, where the emphasis is on painless, comfortable care that improves the patient’s life. She’s particularly focused on working with patients who have dental-related anxiety. Understanding that prior negative experiences can lead to a person avoiding care, and therefore needing intensive treatment to restore their oral health. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq6NMWRlmBs/ “I have only owned this practice for 4 years, and there is no way that I am going to be perfect or know every obstacle that comes my way. So I do need that feedback. But on the other hand, what Instagram does for me is it humanizes me as a dentist and a business owner to a lot of my followers, and as long as I come off genuine and I do want to do things better next time. People realize that I am learning, and they are not quite as hard on me.”Joyce Kahng, DDS – Owner of Orange + Magnolia Dental Studio View this post on Instagram Getting a negative review as a dentist can be a very devastating experience. . A good thing to remember is that at the end of the day you have to begin focusing on the next review. . I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Joyce Kahng this week, and she had some really good experiences to share on how her perspective has changed over time. . This quote is a great example of her mindset when it comes to reviews. . Listen to the full episode coming out this weekend. A post shared by Boolean Review (@booleanreview) on Feb 15, 2019 at 8:37am PST “I would prefer to be on Yelp given that I get so many patients from Yelp, and I know how many people are on Yelp. Than to not be part of the platform and focus my money on more antiquated marketing.” Joyce Kahng, DDS – Owner of Orange + Magnolia Dental Studio Questions asked on this episode: How long ago did you begin the journey on instagram as @joycethedentist? What has surprised you most in the last year on Instagram? Have you had patients come to you specifically because of your Instagram? How long have reviews been an area of focus for you? What is the Yelp Elite Squad? Why do you think that some dentists lag reviews from patients? What advice would you give to a dentist that is afraid of getting a negative review? Why are reviews important for dentists today? How have reviews impacted your business? If you were placed into a new practice with no reviews, how would you go about setting up a system and training staff? What has worked and what has not worked for you when it comes to reviews? Best Quotes On This Episode: “I do realize that we are not for everyone, and that is okay.” “I even had a patient say, You guys had a lot of good reviews; the bad ones you responded to, and that meant a lot to me. So, that tells me a lot about your practice.”“Your reviews can either be something that solidifies the word of mouth referral that you have been given, and then makes calling you that much easier, or potentially if you don’ have a lot of reviews, it might lead them to look around and see what else is in the area.” Dr. Kahng’s Dental Practice: Orange + Magnolia Dental Studio The post 07 Joyce Kahng, DDS – Orange + Magnolia Dental Studio – 12k Instagram followers appeared first on Boolean Review System.

From Lynn’s Bio: “Early on in my career, I was given the advice too “surround yourself with people smarter than you.” And proof that I have done just that is Lynn! As our Business Development Specialist & Executive Assistant, this girl uses her incredibly sharp attention to detail to make sure Collins Orthodontics is constantly pushing to operate at the highest level for our patients and team. In fact, Lynn is so detail-oriented that by the time she reads this, I’m certain she is still thinking about my incorrect use of “too” in the first sentence. In all seriousness, Lynn is an employer’s dream. She is incredibly hard-working, intelligent, punctual, compassionate, genuine, and fiercely loyal. About Dr. Collins From Dr. Collin’s Bio: “When Dr. C was a 7-year old little boy, he opened a lemonade stand in his parents’ front yard in order to help people “beat the heat.” Every Sunday, neighborhood families would come out to have a taste of the sweet concoction, with the number of customers doubling every week. What was lil’ Dr. C’s secret (besides using tons of sugar)? He greeted every single person who stopped by the stand with a handshake and said: “thank you for coming.” Fast-forward to present day, and Dr. C now is the owner of a much bigger lemonade stand, in which he calls “Collins Orthodontics.” After 11 years of post-high school training to become an orthodontist, Dr. C says the most important part of his job remains the exact same as when he was seven years old – kindness to everyone he meets. Dr. C has the best job in the world, and he is blessed by having an incredibly talented team, a loving family, and strong faith. Aside from being happily married and spending time with his sons, Dr. C also enjoys art, playing guitar, coaching the girls’ varsity soccer team at Mayo High School, and volunteering for community service projects. And yes…he now knows that too much sugar in lemonade is bad for your teeth :)” Contact Contact Lynn via email: email@example.com Contact Dr. Collins on Instagram: @thebracesguy The post 06 Collins Orthodontics — Highest-Rated Orthodontist In The Country appeared first on Boolean Review System.

02 Joshua Austin, DDS – Dentist With 270+ Google Reviews
We sat down with Joshua Austin, DDS and asked him how he was able to grow his practice to over 270 reviews on Google and 60+ reviews on Yelp! Some of the questions that we covered in this episode include: Dr. Austin, you have 270 reviews? How did you do it? What is the culture in your office in regards to reviews? Why are reviews important for dentists today? Are negative reviews that bad? How do you respond to a negative review? Is it true that the first 30 reviews are harder than the next 100, 200, 300 reviews? Yelp. There are so many dentists that have bad feelings towards Yelp. There are also a lot of rumors around Yelp mistreating businesses (which I have never seen proof of). It seems like most of the frustration comes from a lack of understanding around the topic of reviews. How has 200+ reviews impacted your business? If you were placed into a new practice with no reviews and no process for reviews how would you go about setting up a system and training staff? What’s more important quantity or quality of reviews? Dr. Joshua Austin has his own dental practice in San Antonio, TX. You can also hire him to come to speak at your upcoming event by visiting his website http://www.austindentalseminars.com. Basics 04: The Best Long-Term Strategy for Reviews – “Never Let A Compliment Go To Waste”
The best long-term strategy when it comes to continuing to build reviews for your dental practice is simple: “Never let a compliment go to waste.” What this means is that you need to train your staff to pay attention to ask for a review when a patient gives them a compliment. Dentists get complimented all the time, and if you focus on just simply asking every patient that compliments you for a review. You will be surprised at how many reviews you will get just by simply asking the patients that compliment. Basics 03: Quality vs Quantity – What Is More Important When It Comes To Dental Reviews?
The age old question what is more important, Quality or Quantity? Quantity of Reviews Depending on where your practice is located the quantity of online reviews that you are going to need — to have reviews begin to start positively impacting your practice — will vary. But the bottom line is that you need to have more reviews than your competitors. Quality of Reviews Quality is always going to be important in so far as you are able to keep a relatively high average rating (i.e. 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, etc.). It is not critical that every single review is 5-star. More importantly, you don’t need to sweat getting a bad review. The way that you make up for getting a bad review is just by getting more positive reviews. Speaker: Joshua Austin, DDS Joshua Austin, DDS is a restorative dentist from Texas. He is a speaker and travels around the country speaking to various dental groups. Basics 02: How Many Reviews Should A Dentist Be Able to Get Per Week?
There are several factors that affect how many reviews a dentist should be able to get per week. The biggest factors are: How many patients does the practice see in a day? What percentage of those patients are being asked in-person for their feedback? How does the staff ask the patients for feedback? How difficult is it for the patient to actually leave a review once they say they are interested? For the average practice that sees about 20 patients per day, you should easily be able to get one review per day. But, it is possible to get even more than that per day if your staff is trained and knows how to bring up the topic for reviews. In this Boolean Basics episode we answer that question: How many reviews should a dentist be able to get per week?
