A New Way to Look at Launching
Let's talk about a new way to look at launching. When you think of launching, I don't know about you, but I think about all the significant people on the internet taking a week out of their time to go online. They're going live every single day, sometimes multiple times a day for hours; you're getting a ton of emails, lots of outreach, and reach like it looks like they have a humongous team. You see them all over Facebook ads, and you're wondering how much money they've spent on ads. And you start to wonder if you'll ever get to that place and begin questioning yourself. Then you hear about launching strategies. Like webinars, challenges, and Instagram lives… oh my. I'm all about launching. I recommend everyone try different launching strategies. I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't launched my program, Stand Out Coaching Academy, years ago. When I launched Stand Out Coaching Academy, I opened it with a five-day challenge. I also did three webinars, and I sold five spots that weekend. I teach my students and clients how to launch; I have a bonus program, Love to Launch, that shows people how to create a five-day challenge and then top it off with a webinar to sell your signature program. But then the word launch started giving me a feeling of anxiety and pressure. I am not about that. Don't pressure me. I even notice this reaction with a lot of my clients. The word launch makes them feel resistant. I'm not sure why we have so much fear towards launching, but I think there's something to do with the fear of judgment, rejection, and failure. Let's look at the definition of launch. Launch is an act or an instance of launching something. So to me, that seems like an initial process. But what if you have something that you want to continue to grow? Like your program. So, the word evergreen comes into your vocabulary because you start to hear that a lot online, and everyone's talking about, "Set up your business to be an evergreen business. So you make money while you sleep, make money while you're with your kids or in the park on the beach, wherever you are..." The thing is, the act of launching and your evergreen model are so far from each other. They could be a month from each other, or they could be years from each other. The processes are so different. When you're launching, you're very active in the entire process. When the evergreen model is set up, people are signing up, watching on their own, and being sold to on an automated basis. So they're very different. One's very high touch, and one is no-touch. It's just the initial setup, and then you set it and forget it. I think having both of those in your business is essential, but here's the thing, I also have a new way to look at this whole launching thing. By all means, live launch your stuff, get it out online and sell it. And once it starts working, set up a process to bring people in automatically, and remember, it will not be as quick as a live launch. I don't care what people tell you; those people are selling you evergreen strategies… 🤐 They're not going to be as momentous as a live launch. I have the data to prove it. When it comes to the evergreen model, I was not too fond of the fact that I wasn't in the process of promoting my program. The keyword here is, promoting. I don't want a set it and forget it business. I enjoy working on my business. I enjoy dreaming of new concepts, creating new strategies, building new things, and meeting new people. I also don't care for the strategy of Instagram DM-ing and all those things that take up a lot of time because I don't have much time. So I thought about what I would want my business model to look like five years from now. What would make me happy? What could I show up for and feel good about? What do I like doing when it comes to launching? If I could do a webinar every day, I probably would. I decided to take a brand new approach to launching and make it my way. Because when you do things your way in your business, things work well. Think of all the strategies and all the things you've learned and throw them in a sifter and sift out the things that are not something that you enjoy, but grab out the things that you love and make them your own. Then do them over and over again to develop your strategy. So here's what I did. I created a new webinar, landing page, and thank you page. I created social media promo graphics and brand new pins. I got my calendar out and promised myself that I would do a monthly webinar for 2022 that would promote Stand Out Coaching Academy. You can not watch How to Find Clients on an evergreen basis. I have lots of other classes that people can watch on evergreen. You can only watch it live with me once a month. The initial setup is creating the webinar and getting everything ready for that first promotion round. So the new way of launching is a rolling promotion for your signature program. If you have a webinar that has performed well and has gotten new sales, use that webinar. If you want to create a brand new one, go for it. So basically, you are promoting something in your business live once a month, and it works beautifully. I am implementing this with my clients as well. Because I attract people who have lots of things going on in their lives, and they don't have time to do these big quarterly launches because they are significant and all, but they kind of pull a whole lot of you. This model of rolling promotion works well. Especially after the first couple of months are over and you ironed out the kinks and the wrinkles. You can just click, click, and it's ready to go. APPLY TO WORK WITH ME HERE Basically, you're doing the same monthly webinar to a new group of registrants to sell to. Just pick a date every month to do your webinar. Be sure to change the landing page date and continue to grow your list. The initial setup is what takes time. It's much easier after that first round. You can sell to your whole list every time if you like, but I think that might exhaust them. So I usually send out a few invites to my entire list a week or two before, and then once the webinar is on, I will only sell to my list that registered for the webinar. I also have an open and close cart for my scarcity model. So the SOCA sales page is shut down when the webinar isn't live, and I use my waitlist strategy. I also launch my waitlist. The critical part of this whole strategy is you need to be growing your list at all times. So whether you have a great organic marketing plan, which is essential, or maybe you want to bring in some ads for a freebie that works pretty swell. So there you have it. The rolling promo. If this sounds like something you want to implement and need help with, definitely fill out an application to work with me, and we can set it up together.

How to Get Unstuck and Out of a Rut
Let’s talk about what to do when you feel like you’re stuck and in a rut. First of all, this happens to everybody, so don't feel like there's something wrong with you or that something's wrong with your business. It's okay to feel this way. Let's get that out of the way. It's okay to feel stuck. Stuck. I hear that word all of the time. In fact, it's probably used in almost every single one of my client applications, “I feel stuck. I need help getting unstuck.” So, let's talk about it. What does it even mean? How do you diagnose it when you don't know the symptoms? When I feel like I'm stuck or in a rut, like I don't know what to do next and just go from task to task; whether it's in my business or out and about in the house, If I'm supposed to work on a project for my business, I’ll instead decide to organize something or I’ll decide to look up something that I don't need to know the answer to right away. Basically, I'll do something completely off task. I know do these things because I'm avoiding something. It’s like I decide to stay in a little circle going nowhere and I choose to stay on the hamster wheel. Then at the end of the day, I feel stuck because I didn't go anywhere. Then rinse and repeat the next day. Another symptom of being stuck and in a rut is you're not feeling like you want to do this anymore. You know you're supposed to, but you don't feel there's any motivation behind you anymore. You feel like everything on your task list is a chore that someone else assigned to you and you're neglecting it all. Or maybe you're even holding anger towards them. Thoughts are coming up in your mind like, “Why would you make me do this today? I don't want to do this!” When you're literally the person who put it all on your list… You're also looking at your goals for the year and feeling really negative about them. You don't even know how you're even going to accomplish them. What were you thinking? Can you relate? There's a reason for all of these feelings. And guess what? There's no magic potion that’s going to help you either. There's no magical word or affirmation that's going to change everything for you. Period. What you need to do first, is take action. Clear out the clutter. You know that Friends episode, the one with Monica and her secret closet? Where it’s full of junk and no one would expect it because her apartment always looks amazing and you would never expect to see that kind of mess? I think that is how a lot of online coaches are. Everyone sees the highlight reels of their business. Their pretty posts on social media, their creative copy, all of that stuff. But nobody knows that what she really feels like is what that closet looks like. It feels just fake after a while and you have to clean the closet out. Get all the clutter out. Journal how you're feeling. I'm a very positive person and I'm very grateful for everything. But when it’s time for me to clear the clutter out of my mind, it's really hard, because I feel like I'm being someone else. I feel like I'm losing or something. Like I'm not being myself. I feel vulnerable when I journal my negative thoughts, even though no one else is going to see them. I like to be the strong person. I like to be the positive person. So showing that I feel defeated at the moment can be really difficult and it might be for you too, but this is a great exercise because it's needed. I think the things that feel the hardest for you or the things that you need to do the most. So, journal it out. What's going on in there? What kind of clutter do you got in there? What is this mess all about? How did this even happen? How are you feeling? What are you mad about? You might be mad that you did something new in your business and you didn't get the results. You might be mad that no one is paying attention to anything you do online. You might be mad that you're not seeing any fruit from your labor. There are a lot of reasons that we can feel frustrated in growing our business every day, but there are a lot of reasons to feel really good about all the things you've done since the day you thought of starting a business. So get all those negative thoughts out, get them on paper. And if you have to read them out loud, read them aloud to yourself and it will almost solidify their meaning. It's okay to feel this way. Tell yourself that you're really grateful that you had the courage to just let it all out. If you watched my last video on how to take back your schedule, you heard that I canceled a lot of podcast interviews. I took back my schedule. I was cleaning out something that wasn't working for me anymore and while it was really hard for me to let go of, boy that cleared out many shelves in my closet. So, what are you clinging to and what do you need to let go of in order to move forward? It's almost like we’re traveling on this hike, that's really difficult and you're carrying a lot of things that you don't even need to bring. So much weight and hardship that you don't need to bring with you. What if you just set it on the side of the road and lightened your load a little bit? Don’t cling to things that aren't serving you anymore. Make a change. What do you need to do to kind of freshen up? What do you do after you’ve gotten rid of the clutter and chaos? You need to put it all the good stuff back in. Feel free to switch it up a little bit. Don't put things back where they were. Change it up. Things that I like to do that kind of jazz up my day, and mind you I'm very simple minded here and I’m not going to tell you to go on a vacation or go to the spa for a day. I don't find join any of that. I find joy by shaking things up in my day. Like cleaning off my desk, cleaning up my office, or maybe even switching up my office. When I feel like my family is in a funk, I'll do something like rearrange the living room or something similar and it changes everyone’s attitude towards everything. Simple little things. It doesn't need to be this big thing. I think the reason why we don't change stuff is because we think it needs to be a big deal and it doesn't. The simplest things can take you out of your rut and you don't even realize it. It doesn't all have to be office related. Do something around the house, Do something besides work. There are other parts of your life that might be affecting how you feel in your business. So, take a look at those things too. Get a bird's eye view and look at your whole day because I’m sure you're not working on your business 24 hours a day. What else is going on that makes you feel like you're in a rut? Take care of all the facets of our life, all the facets of our day. You wear lots of hats. Don't just blame everything on your business. There are other parts of your life that might feel like it needs a little bit of TLC. And again, it's okay to feel this way. It's going to happen over and over again. And that's okay because we know that we're on the verge of something good. My last tip for you is the most important. I look at hard times in my business differently. Instead of saying, “I'm in a funk. I'm stuck. I'm this I'm that..” All negative, negative, negative, negative. What about this instead? What about saying to yourself, “When I feel this way, that means something good is about to happen.” Something good is about to happen. If you have a day where nothing seems to go right, tell yourself something good is about to happen. Something good is about to happen. Say it over and over again, because something good is about to happen. I look at those moments as big signs, that, you guessed it, something good is about to happen. And all I have to do is make it through this. I can do this. You're never given something that you can handle. And sometimes you're handed things that are really hard. I get that, but something good is about to happen for you. I promise. Just keep telling yourself that. Do these exercises. They will help you. And remember if you need help, there are a lot of people you can talk to. You can get guidance from books, research online, experts to learn from, or you can send me a message. I'd be happy to talk to you.

How to Take Back Your Schedule
Let’s talk about how to take back your time and how to take back your schedule when you're feeling really overwhelmed with something that may be going on in your business or just your day-to-day operations. At the beginning of this year, I was feeling like something was really off and it took me a while to figure it out. And once I got out of that slump and took ownership of my time it really made a difference in everything in my business and life in general. So I want to share with you what I did. We can't buy time and we can't purchase a course on how to get more time so we really need to manage it wisely and be mindful of it. I always took pride in how I managed my time, but there were just a couple of things that were really bothering me. At the end of 2021, I sat down at my table and looked at what I wanted 2022 to look like. I laid out a plan and I was really excited about it. It looked really easy and simple. Until I got out my new planner for the year and I started writing down all of the calls that were already booked. I was writing calls down for August and September, and those are all podcast interviews, and I felt, to be honest, a little overwhelming. I was trying to put some gratitude on top of it because I know that I should be grateful for all of the people who wanted to be on my podcast, but it was really eye-opening to see that I had calls booked out for almost the whole entire year when I haven't even flipped into 2022 yet. At first, I set that aside and let it be because I’m the kind of person who will tackle whatever is in front of me and want to take care of it. Period. But I was also creating a brand new promotion plan for STAND OUT COACHING ACADEMY, I knew that we were going to hop right back into homeschool once January started, and I am also running a home, a business, and working a full-time job. As I looked at my calendar, I saw a lot of things on there. I usually get excited about things to do every day, as that's the type of person I am, but there were just some things that were sticking out at me, but I told myself, “That's okay. I'll just keep pushing forward.” Well, fast forward a few more months to the promotion plan for STAND OUT COACHING ACADEMY going well and homeschooling was going well too, but here was just that one thing that was poking at me that felt really heavy and I didn't know what to do about it. So, I started reading some books to help me. Granted they were probably things that I already knew, but I just needed to hear it again, you know, like a kid needs to hear something a few times? That's me. Especially when it comes to me being stubborn at changing my ways, rescheduling things, or whatever. It's really hard for me to do that. But when I read Christy Wright’s book, Take Back Your Time, it was exactly what I needed to hear. I started writing down all of the things that I do every single day that I love. And then I would look at the things that I didn't quite love anymore. GRAB MY FREE COACHING BUSINESS STARTER PACK I’m always asking God for signs because I'm never so sure about myself for some reason. I can be a very indecisive person sometimes and I can overanalyze the crap out of things, just ask my husband. So what I did was look at the one thing glaring at me and all of these podcast interviews. I love doing podcast interviews. I love when I get to meet a new person every single week and put them on the podcast. That makes me so happy. But then I started to realize that, you know what, that hour on a Saturday morning, I think I would rather spend it with my family, my clients, or my students. So, after a long time of thought and prayer, I decided to cancel all of those interviews for the rest of the year. It was so hard for me to do that. I decided to put my CEO hat on and I told myself that I'm going to give my time to the people who are investing in me and those are my clients and my students. That's it. I’ve done plenty of podcast interviews, probably hundreds of them, and I'm grateful for every single one of them. But I had to put a stop to them because I wanted my time back. I really did. I craved it. I was homesick for it. I just wanted it. There were also some signs, some negative signs, popping up and I think God was nudging indecisive me. Like, no shows, cancellations at 1:30 in the morning, random things like that. The Book Your Dream Clients Podcast has been around for almost three years and those inconveniences were not a common occurrence. Sure things happen, but it was just kind of all lumped into one time. And I just knew that those were signs for me to let go and focus on other things. When you look at your business five years from now, how do you want it to look? I am not the person who's going to preach to quit your nine to five. I enjoy my nine to five. So if I'm going to wear the nine to five hat, the CEO hat, the homeschool mom hat, and the wife hat. I need to really be mindful of how I spend my time. So I knew that if I could have one more hour a week to either enjoy working on my business, spending time with my family, or going outside when it's nice out, that means more to me. I even had a conversation with a friend about this very issue and she was having a hard time deciding if that was something that she wanted to do. It was weighing on her heart. And I told her my story and she said, “Okay, that makes me feel a lot better because I wasn't sure how to go about it, honestly.” You really just have to be truthful with yourself and look at your day. Write down everything that you're doing. If you have to go hour by hour, write down what are you doing. Do you like it? Be creative and grab your highlighter. Highlighted the things you love pink. Do you not like it? Highlight it in a different color. And if it's something that you don't enjoy doing and something that you don't have to do, then ask yourself why you’re doing it in the first place. What's the point? Are you doing it because it's on your calendar or are you doing it because it's just another thing to check off on your list? Maybe you are doing it because you don't even know why anymore. Pay attention and evaluate those things. Oftentimes, we create these random lists for no reason. Just because we heard somebody else talk about how we should do this and we should do that. I've always operated my business on how I feel and what my values are. I've always operated my business that way. This is why, I believe, things were feeling off for me because I wasn't at that moment. So if your schedule is tearing you apart and you are walking into your office with a weight on your shoulders, do something about it. Because if you don't, it's going to completely cover you. And it's going to be really hard to get out. Use my story as inspiration to take control of your time and take control of your schedule. You can do this. Decide that it's going to be easy. And trust me, it feels amazing when you do.
