Ryan Carmichael is a writer and filmmaker from Southfield, MI. He studied film at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where he graduated with honors and won a Directors Guild of America Student Filmmaker award for his thesis film “Everything’s New in Lost Time.” After testing the waters of advertising for a year, Ryan decided to continue to pursue his dream by accepting admission to NYU’s graduate film program. There he met his creative collaborator, Jason Stefaniak, and formed Impolite Company.    Inspired by the music of Thelonious Monk and The Roots, the writing of Dostoevsky and Kurt Vonnegut; and the films of Spike Lee and Jean-Luc Godard, Ryan aims to channel and synthesize these paradigm-shifting influences and filter them through a lens that examines and questions the existential circumstances and ironies of modern humanity. Welcome to Boat Over the Mountain- A Filmmaker's Journey.   Podcast Episode 007- Frank Hall Green   Combining narrative and interviews, Boat Over the Mountain, documents my  journey making a feature film as well as helping to motivate others to create their feature films.    This episode is an interview with Frank Hall Green Frank Hall Green is a writer/director and producer and partner at Catch & Release Films. ' .//Along with partner and producer Tom Heller (Foxcatcher, Precious, 127 Hours, Mud), Catch & Release is producing the adaptation of Boy21 by Matthew Quick (Silver Linings Playbook) to be directed by Lasse Hallstrom (Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, Cider House Rules). Frank's award-winning directorial debut feature Wildlike (2015) has been invited to over 75 film festivals and has won 16 Best Film awards. It comes to theaters in 2015. It was produced by Christine Vachon/Killer Films, Tandem Pictures (Sleepwalker) and Joseph Stephans. Filmed on 35mm in Alaska, it stars Ella Purnell, Bruce Greenwood, Brian Geraghty, Nolan Gerard Funk and Ann Dowd. Frank is also a producer on Remittance, the sophomoric feature of writing/directing team Joel Fendelman and Patrick Daly. Recently, he produced Ghetto Klown for HBO, the award-winning one-man show of John Leguizamo. He was a producer on Allegiance and 1-900-Tonight starring John Turturro based on the film by Theo Van Gogh among many other features and shorts. Frank cut his teeth producing and directing far too many short films and has an MBA from NYU's Tisch School of Film & Television. Before NYU's Graduate Film Program, Frank worked in Venture Capital and emerging technology. From Atlanta, he is also an alumnus of NYU's Gallatin School, an avid backpacker and a member of MENSA.   www

Kyle Rideout has rapidly gained both public and critical acclaim for his films.  Eadweard marks his first feature film showcasing his distinctive visual style. His shorts, Hop the Twig and Wait for Rain won ‘Best Short’ on the national TV series CBC Short Film Face-off and ‘Best Fantasy Short’ at Comic-Con respectively. As well both shorts have played international festivals to critical acclaim.
