#1: Investing, careers, uni, Africa and more with Ayo The King
In this episode, I interview my friend Ayo. Some information about him: Ayoola Oluwanusin is a Final-year Electronic Engineering Student at King’s College London. He is also working towards his accreditation in Data Analytics from Columbia University, New York. He is an award-winning public speaker and debater. He hails from Lagos Nigeria, where he grew witnessing deprivation and inequality. This fuelled his drive to elevate the living standards of people and empower them through social entrepreneurship. He is currently developing a product to help people suffering from depression. He won the King’s Idea Factory Competition where he won ‘Best Pitch’ for his business idea. He is deeply passionate about reducing educational inequality and has a proven track record of actively engaging with social issues in his community joining forces with DebateMate, TeachFirst, Markit and RevolYOUtion London where he is the Treasurer .He volunteers to teach Mathematics to students weekly. If he is not at a hackathon pitching about blockchain or machine learning, you can find him in a coffee shop sharing knowledge. Internships should probably be his middle name he has completed 9 internships already! They range from Startups, Energy Companies, Law Firms, Investment Banks and The Civil Service. He is a firm believer in the power of people and enjoys motivating people around him to be the best version of themselves and to take action on their dreams. He is also an advocate for youth empowerment and campaigns for mental health awareness. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing poetry and travelling to iconic places.
