And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Sermon Notes:  A quote about healing: “An unhealed person can find offense in pretty much anything someone does.  A healed person understands that the actions of others have nothing to do with them.  Each day you get to decide which one you will be”. “If you’re healed then you only need Jesus once, if you seek Jesus for salvation then you need Him every day (wholeness)”

Pastor Brad talks about feeling rejected, left out, and disappointed and how Jesus experienced the same rejection from the world. In our hunter/gatherer days, being ostracized from our tribes was akin to a death sentence, as we were unlikely to survive for long alone. Psychologists assume the brain developed an early warning system to alert us when we were at risk for ostracism. Those who experienced rejection as more painful (i.e., because rejection mimicked physical pain in their brain) gained an advantage—they were more likely to correct their behavior and consequently, more likely to remain in the tribe.” Jesus was rejected:  Jesus faced rejection from family-John 7:5 Jesus faced rejection from his community-Matthew 13: 57 Jesus faced rejection from people who once claimed to love him-John 13:21  John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

The victor believes the whole world needs them. The victim sees a challenge as an obstacle. The victor considers the obstacle to be an opportunity. The victim blames others for their failure. The victor takes personal responsibility for success or failure. The victim is never satisfied and is always looking for something more. The victor is grateful for what they already have and build upon that to succeed in life. The victim feels like everybody owes them something. The victor believes nobody owes them anything. The victim lives off other people. The victor lives to bless other people. The victim only sees closed doors. The victor only sees open doors. The victim spreads a negative attitude to others. The victor spreads a positive attitude. The victim is pessimistic. The victor is optimistic. The victim plays on the emotions of others. The victor releases the passion of others. The victim has faith in evil to make things worse. The victor has faith in God to make things better.
