If you boil down our world view, we base everything, our entire perspective on the concept of separatibility of the individual. We have based our whole world view on the fact that we are all separate pieces of a pie. To the extreme our thoughts on the world, on the individual gets boiled down things like Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest. That we are all here to experience, to grow, to live our lives, and the natural order of things is that the stronger members of our society are supposed to succeed. And in so doing our society will inherently be better for it. But is this how it really is? Are we really all separate? Have you noticed when you look at someone they usually will "feel" your gaze and return it. Have you walked into a room and felt the people in it and their mood? We are not separate, we are deeply connected and are all here to contribute are part to this existence. When you can truly identify that you are not an individual but an aspect of the whole. When you can truly realize that you are but one drop of water in the Ocean that is the Universe. That your neighbor, like you, is also a member of this collective that we call the universe. Everything will change. There will be no violence, there will be no war, there will be no poverty. When you realize that I am you and you are me, all of these things drop away, because what rational being would hurt themselves, what rational being would allow their own suffering to continue.
