Do the flying rather than trying!
Truly superior pilots are those who use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills. Rule one: No matter what else happens, fly the airplane. Flying is hours of boredom, punctuated by moments of stark terror. Fly it until the last piece stops moving. What have you done today to ensure you success? – Rethink the process!
Take a long, hard, objective look at everything you’re doing. If it doesn’t add value or maximize efficiency, stop doing it. If your customers don’t care about it, stop doing it. Rethink every process. When you hear the words, “But we’ve always done it this way,” ignore them. Change is hard, and it does upset numerous apple carts. Rethinking might be what you need to do today to commit yourself to daily making progress towards your goals.
