The Art of Real Estate - Ep 17 - Jennie Lok & Calvin Chin
I am very happy to introduce episode 17 featuring Jennie Lok and Calvin Chin! Before the year ends I wanted to make sure I got this episode out, especially since it is Calvin's birthday! Click the link in my bio to listen to this episode on Spotify. Additionally you can stream all our episodes on YouTube and Anchor. I met Jennie and Calvin in early 2020 at a seminar they were hosting in collaboration with our mutual friend, Bryan Pham. They are the founders of Zen Coast University, where they help students create passive income through real estate investing. Jennie is a 30 under 30 NAR and SF Bay Area Realtor. Calvin owns over 100+ units, has a background in tech sales, and coaches alongside with Jennie for Zen Coast University. Since we connected in 2020, we’ve stayed in touch through quarantine and finally made the time to record this interview back in February 2021. After recording this footage I took a break from podcasting to focus on business and my education at Berkeley, with a goal to return back to making podcasts and educational content on an even higher quality level. This season of podcasting was aimed to showcase leaders across sectors of health, housing, and education. I’m honored to have both Jennie and Calvin in this final interview, because they are two that both exemplify amazing value in all those sectors. Listen in on our conversations about getting started in real estate, investing, mindset, and important topics such as handling fear, health, and reaching your potential. Start the new year off tuning into this final episode of season 2 for Base Engine Radio Stream now using the link in my bio or search: Base Engine Radio on Spotify.

The Secret To Your Customer Experience (Base Engine Radio #7)
This is Episode #7: The Secret To Your Customer Experience In this episode we have co-founders Romney and Elon discuss the impact of list building for your customer experience This is vital in the year 2020 if you are an entrepreneur, business person, influencer, realtor, investor, agent, or any type of service provider Ultimately it comes down to an understanding that you must EARN traffic as a goal for your business Traffic is used for brand awareness, sales, marketing, promotions, etc. But first you need to understand there are three types of traffic for you to leverage.. 1) There is traffic we don’t control, this comes from “organic” social media posting traffic 2) There is traffic we control, this includes paid advertising, joint ventures, and partnerships with vendors that enable you to manage the traffic 3)  But traffic you control is traffic that is earned, this comes from building a direct contact list for emails, text, calls, mail, etc Traffic you earn is traffic YOU can manage under your terms But there are some limitations that come along with building your list Because even though you can directly communicate whenever you want.. .. if you communicate with your list the wrong way it can severely ruin your reputation, sales, and brand This is because list building is a high value activity, and must be treated with careful and a data driven approach The trust a supporter gives you when they provide their contact information is special and it must be handled properly So in this episode, Romney and Elon introduce a three step strategy for your list building STEP 1: Nurturing Your Contacts STEP 2: Managing Your List STEP 3: Stay consistent, and develop a system to make nurturing and organization really easy Our goal is to help you create the most optimal customer experience for the longterm! Our Shortcut To Reaching 10x Goals (Base Engine Radio)
Episode 4: Our Shortcut To Reaching 10x Goals (Modeling Success) In this episode we discuss our personal experiences with setting goals that were too small, and how that actually changed our lives For us, it started with not being fulfilled, with our life Feeling Mediocrity Not living up to our life's potential And continually questioning ourselves about the WHAT IF’s... Weirdly enough if you're keeping things "average" or doing "just enough" then you start to become comfortable Not that there's anything terribly wrong with being comfortable, but we were NOT getting the results we wanted with our current performance... It starts to feel like you start to become accustomed to some of society's norms and the general population Developing a “herd” mentality.. You become more reactive than proactive with your timing and life choices The craziest thing is most of the time, you aren't even conscious about these types of habits.. You become comfortable with your results, you become content in your day to day performance And so how did we approach this in our lives? It all starts with investing in yourself FIRST We knew that as long as we take the time to actively absorb knowledge (books, mentorships, courses) we'll only become stronger and will eventually reach our biggest goals - it's just a matter of time Most importantly, always LEARN! Learners are leaders Being teachable is incredibly vital to your success, discipline yourself to stay hard and avoid the easy instant gratifications Practice being consciously mindful with your daily mindset, gratitude, actions, rituals, and habits We highlight two vital areas that has contributed to our personal growth.. #1:The IMPORTANCE OF Modeling Success #2: The IMPORTANCE OF THINKING BIG! We also explain the effect of setting goals that are 10x bigger than what you intended to plan for, and how it's crucially important to set goals like this. Enjoy Episode 4 and let us know what you think 😄
