Hassan Bakarr- Audiofrica is a music apps for both Continental Africa and African Diaspora to download and stream content
Hassan Bakarr was born and raised in Sierra Leone and later traveled to the United States. He currently lives in Boston-Massachusetts where he has had a long history. He is one the first people to create a local African night club in 1998 in Boston. Then, he launched an African Radio show called The African Radio Show back in 2005 which was on a local FM station called Choice 102.9FM. In 2006, Hassan took a leap of faith and went online as one of the first African internet radio stations in the United States called African Radio Online. Since 2015, Hassan is the founder and C.E.O. of Techfrica and a mobile app company called Appsfrica. Shortly afterwards, he created Audiofrica which is the main topic of this interview today.
