12 Episodes

30 minutes | Jul 15, 2021
My Kid’s Health & Wellness Journey
Barely Makin’ It comes out of the woodwork to deliver a podcast for the girls this week. There’s complaining, there’s exposing, there’s oversharing. In this episode, I really bear my soul. From my bout with “summertime sadness” and where it stems from to my disdain for group travel, this has it all. We finally package it up with my future children’s health & wellness journey that I have prepared for them.

Episode 29: Health & Wellness Update
Finally back on the mic after quiteeee the hiatus. I recap what I’ve been up to, take you behind my recent health & wellness schemes I’ve explored to drop a couple lbs, put out a personal PSA for adults to get a summer break back, and address the benefits of being on your home turf when you are seeing family.

Episode 28: Barely Makin It Traditions & What Lives in My Head Rent Free
In this ep, I recap my boring, albeit intoxicated and unproductive Thanksgiving break. From there I cover the {burning} listener question of my holiday traditions (most center around poor choices and alcohol consumption) and some fun holiday memories throughout the years. I pull back the curtain on the scam that is “Spotify Wrapped” and the real way to stalk someone via the app. Finally, we touch on what lives in my head rent free which ranges from miscellaneous career paths to Britney Spears’ latest Instagram posts.

Episode 27: B12 pills, COVID Compliance (lack thereof), and Dating People from Your Hometown
I finally breakout the mic and start podcasting again. Fueled by a disdain for my corporate job, a possible overdose on B12 pills, and the notion that my dog no longer can procreate, the topics I cover on this pod run the gamut. Starting with is Facebook Marketplace a look into my future to covering new social media features and finally realizing I think I understand why people date people from their hometowns.

Episode 26: Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccinos + Sorority Bullies
This could be the episode that winds me up in some sort of hot water. I start off by recapping what I have been up to lately (including but not limited to learning about my birth chart/potentially being swindled by my hair stylist), spending triple digits at hibachi, and teaching my dog to stop barking. From there, I delve into an iconic photograph of me that deserves a slot in the Smithsonian and walk down (what little I have left) of memory lane in regards to college tailgating and getting bullied by older girls in my sorority.

Episode 25: Bags are Packed for Hawaii…or Provo Canyon School
In another episode of Barely Makin’ It, as a suprise to no one things in my life are still all over the place. I cover the stages of quarantine I’ve come across to date: spiraling stage, coworkers all being passive aggressive phase, etc. *All yet to be recognized by the CDC* I also get into the Paris Hilton documentary, my own shenaningans which included but are not limited to packing a suitcase whilst under the influence of alcohol to “move” to Hawaii. Finally, I cover my favorite movies of the “micro genre” Rom Coms with a presidential twist that peaked in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Episode 24: Don’t Wake Me Up When September Ends
The title says it all. I truly have no reason to wake up when this month ends or ever. Anyways, this episode is all over the place, but when are they not. This week we cover the following: I take you on the journey of what I’ve been up to recently American Idol for Content Creators and other contestant show ideas I have that have not been made yet Zoom school and how I would have NOT thrived at all (my highlights, braces, and double chin would have not translated well through a webcam) Situations in my life I wish I had a Narrator to warn me not to do and finally, Bachelorette Party themes that are absolutely repulsive.

Episode 23: Green Tea Shots & Suburban Ideologies I Hate
I finally get back on the mic and start spewing my unimportant, un-researched ideas and opinions. This episode I recap what I’ve been up to lately which includes making up stories about my neighbors, watching way too much Tik Tok, and tbh god knows what else. I dive into poor choices I’ve made while being under the influence of green tea shots, suburban ideologies I disagree with, and the deep, deep divide between me at age 25 and people who are middle aged.
25 minutes | Jun 30, 2020
Episode 21: GoFundMe.com/BritneySpearsNewShortsCharity
Ok, apparently all I talk about on this podcast these days is Britney Spears and bags. This week I discuss Britney’s recent interpretive dance that is a cry for help if I’ve ever seen one, my confusion on how mainstream jobs work, and finally a deep dive into my disdain for Michael Kors (and apparently I’m not the only one).

Episode 20: Britney’s Bangs, Bachelor Gripes, and Bags that look like Food
Barely Makin’ It is back with another episode to hopefully make you laugh so you don’t cry…I mean literally these days there is a ton to SOB about. But we are here to talk about Britney cutting her bangs and what that means for our society, my problems with the bachelor and how I’m always one step away from reality TV (le sigh), and designer bags that somehow look exactly like a popular Italian meat.

Episode 14: A Day Late and A Dollar Short
Ok, it’s been a MINUTEEEEE since I’ve podcasted, but we ARE back in 2020. Not to be cliche, but I am overall a walking cliche, so I’m back on the grind. We talk life updates, holiday recap (PSA: 10 days with your parents is way TOO long), how I’m getting ready for 2020 (i.e. vision boards and what’s in my work bag: nothing that will help with my job in anyway, but everything that will help me barely make it through work day 1) and I’m asking (read: begging) for your feedback on what you wanna see from BMI in 2020. Let’s go gals!

Episode 13: Barely Workin’ It
Apologies in advance for the longtime hiatus, IRL work got in the way of my storytelling and rambling into the microphone. This week, I cover all things work. Starting with my first entrepreneurial business venture in 8th grade (100% unethical and possibly illegal) to ghosting my nannying clients to showing up to work in compromising positions, I go through the whole bit. I also cover extremely normal things that take place in an office that I (no shocker here) cannot stand, and the emotional trauma of losing a work friend to another company. RIP.
