Barbell Generation Meets - London Olympic Weightlifting Academy (LOWA) Barbell Generation Meets – London Olympic Weightlifting Academy (LOWA)
Episode 4 Barbell Generation Meets - The London Olympic Weightlifting Academy Show Notes This is my show, it is my new project, well I say new as this is the 5th episode if you include the pilot...get me! It is something that I've wanted to do for a long time and thought that there is no time like the present. We are slowly catching up with what we had pre recorded so a bi-monthly podcast will be coming to a set of headphones near you on a regular basis. There is only me who goes round and records these shows, I then edit and do all the technical bits so that the quality is good. Then the show notes need to be compiled and uploaded to the internet, this all takes time...I'm into quality and not quantity... Again if you want to be featured on the podcast. If you have something to say that you feel the community wants to hear about. If you have a product, an up and coming competition, story or club that you'd like to big up/give a mention/plug then please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are always looking for new guests. I travel around doing these podcasts so you never know, I could be in a town near you very very soon. This podcast was done at the end of January, it is a little behind but as mentioned in previous episodes I was very unwell over xmas and NY and was delayed getting these out. You can listen to my other episodes here at your convenience. I've had a lot of good feedback from the episodes so far so it would be great if you could get yourself over to iTunes and give us a 5 * rating please. Any feedback is welcome to be fair, I'm new at podcasting so it would be great to hear what you think. In this, the 4th episode which I recorded early one Friday afternoon. I travelled to Battersea, London to LOWA. Here I met Mike Causer, head coach and all round great guy. I'd only read about the great work Mike and his team were doing from his website and Facebook page. I wanted to come to London to meet Mike, he is the brains behind LOWA. I wanted to talk to him about the what it is he does, his philosophy on training, coaching and what makes him tick. As someone who is new to Olympic Lifting as I am, I knew this was going to be a great episode and it did not disappoint. It was great to sit down with Mike, a very unassuming man,

Barbell Generation Meets – CrossFit Coventry/Battle of Britain Throwdown
Episode 3 Barbell Generation Meets - CrossFit Coventry Show Notes This is my show, it is my new project, well I say new as this is the 4th episode if you include the pilot...get me! It is something that I've wanted to do for a long time and thought that there is no time like the present. We are slowly catching up with what we had pre recorded so a weekly podcast will be coming to a set of headphones near you regularly. Again if you want to be featured on the podcast. If you have something to say that you feel the community wants to hear. Any feedback is welcome to be fair, I'm new at podcasting so it would be great to hear what you think. In this, the 3rd episode which I recorded early one Sunday morning in December. I travelled to Coventry to CrossFit Coventry. Here I met James and Ryan. These were two great guys with the emphasis on a 2 part show. I'd heard about a really well liked CrossFit Throwdown that was held in the Midlands called the Battle of Britain Throwdown. I wanted to come to Coventry to meet the guys behind CrossFit Coventry and of course talk to them about the BoB, how it came about and what the future holds for their box and their comp. It was great to sit down with Ryan and James and enjoy the craic. We spoke about all things Royal marines, CrossFit (of course) and the Battle of Britain Throwdown. We had a few laughs, a little bit of profanity but we managed to stay on topic which was great. This ended up being a great interview that I enjoyed very much. I mention in this show: *

Barbell Generation Meets - Steve Fawcett Barbell Generation Meets – Steve Fawcett
Episode 2 Barbell Generation Meets - Steve Fawcett Show Notes This is my show, it is my new project, well I say new as this is the 3rd episode if you include the pilot...get me! It is something that I've wanted to do for a long time and thought that there is no time like the present. There has been a slight delay but things are now back to normal so a weekly podcast will be coming to a set of headphones near you regularly. Again if you want to be on. I travel around doing these podcasts so you never know, I could be in a town near you very very soon This podcast was done at the same time as episode 1, which you can listen to here at your convenience Barbell Generation Meets - CrossFit JST I've had a lot of good feedback from this episode so it would be great if you could get yourself over to iTunes and give us a 5 * rating please.   In this, the 2nd episode I did when I travelled to Wigan in the northwest of England and spoke to CrossFit JST. These were a great bunch of guys but there was a difference emphasis for this episode. I wanted to meet Steve Fawcett, co owner of CrossFit JST. If you're not an avid follower of CrossFit then the name Steve Fawcett might be a name that is unfamiliar to you. However, if you have been doing CrossFit for a while, you follow the games, try to get a t-shirt from every box you visit and look forward to burpees (or is that just me) then you'll know who this guy is and what he has achieved in such a short space of time. It was great to sit down with Steve and hear him talk candidly about the 2015 CrossFit Regionals, all the build up and hype. He talks about training with an endurance coach and mixing with all that other athletes from the Meridian region. He then goes too talk about living and training with other athletes for 3 weeks before the games out in Los Angeles I mention in this show: * Buff Box Meals * Red Star (no link found) * CrossFit JST * CrossFit Games *

Barbell Generation Meets – CrossFit JST
Episode 1 Barbell Generation Meets - CrossFit JST Show Notes This is my show, it is my new project, it is something that I've wanted to do for a long time and thought that there is no time like the present. There has been a slight delay due to a bad chest infection (blame that on Northern English weather), we've also had Christmas and NY, i've also just moved house... I've been a very busy person this past few weeks. Normal service has resumed so it's all systems go. In this episode I travelled to Wigan in the northwest of England and spoke to CrossFit JST. These were a great bunch of guys who not only made me feel really welcome but also had lots to say. They are the 2014 and 2015 Strength in Depth champions which is no mean feat considering some of the great CrossFit affiliate teams here in the UK. It was great to sit down with the guys and talk about how they all got into CrossFit, and to also discuss the Best of British training camps that Jak, Steve and John run. These have been very well received and it looks like 2016 is going to be a very good year with two types of camps planned. I mention in this show * Wigan * Geophysics * The Midlands * CrossFit Comps * Olympic Weightlifting * Spartan Workout if you have a story, a throw down, competition or a really good cause that you feel the Olympic Weightlifting, Strength Sports, Functional Fitness and CrossFit community would love to hear about then please feel free to get in touch. I value your feedback, it is a new venture, I'm just starting out so any encouragement would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks for listening Lee Barbell Generation
