Episode 34 – Jay Krebs
So, you think YOU'RE a hardcore Star Wars fan? Have you ever typed out the script from an audio transcription you recorded from TV? I didn't think so. But Jay Krebs has, and that is just ONE example of her fandom going above and beyond. Jay is a blogger for Coffee With Kenobi, and she sat down with Jeff to discuss the first time she fell in love with the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and how she's passed that passion on to her kids!

Jeff knows lots of talented people. Most of those people love Star Wars. Eddie Medina is one of those people. His art is amazing, his show, The Rantcor Pit is also amazing, and best of all, he's a heckuva nice guy! Eddie sat down with Jeff to discuss just how much he loves the Galaxy Far, Far Away. I'll give you a hint: He might have been more excited about The Empire Strikes Back than any single person on the planet. Listen to find out more!

Episode 31 – Marcus Dohring
It's about to get EPIC up in here! Jeff sat down with Marcus Dohring, a member of the 501st and an all-around-awesome guy. They talk about their first and second meetings at Celebration Anaheim (one of those was more interesting than the other), as well as about Marcus's experiences growing up in Germany in the shadow of the Berlin Wall. That's right, we get historical. Life can't be all Star Wars all the time, right? Sit back and enjoy! Don't worry, we keep the Hasselhoff talk to a minimum.

Episode 30 – Craig Dickinson
I recently had the pleasure of chatting with a group of kids who had just seen Star Wars, some of them for the first time. They asked me questions I had trouble answering, because I had never thought about things from certain angles. These kids were sharp, and they knew their stuff. A great student is the product of a terrific teacher, and you're about to get to know that teacher now. Craig Dickinson is a smart, smart man who's producing smart, smart students through his love of English and Star Wars. He took time to sit down with me and reveal what a thinking man thinks about Star Wars, and life in general. Stick around, I guarantee you'll learn something!

Episode 29 – Talking Toys Presents Star Wars Micro
This week, you're either in for a treat or some disappointment. Or maybe a bit of both. Take a listen to their first Star Wars-centric show about the 1982 Star Wars Micro Collection from Kenner! Bantha Banter will return in 2 weeks with another stellar interview!

Episode 28 – Harry Perales
You can find interesting Star Wars fans anywhere! This time, Jeff sits down with his new friend Harry Perales. Harry loves Star Wars. Jeff loves Star Wars. They have a mutual friend who is lukewarm to Star Wars. That is the power of Star Wars, even indifference can't stop it from connecting people! Harry talks to Jeff about how his love of Star Wars has inspired both art and theft, so we're hoping the statute of limitations has run out on that last part. Enjoy!

Episode 27 – Chris Cape
We've heard a lot of great stories about how Star Wars has influenced people's lives from an entertainment and community perspective, but today we have something a bit different: Chris Cape's love of the Galaxy Far, Far Away has served as inspiration for his own art. Chris is a songwriter/performer who created the song "Mark Hamill Can Handle" in honor of May the 4th and shared it with the world. You may recognize the song as the theme song for Comics with Kenobi, and if you haven't heard it yet, you're in for a treat. Chris's love of Star Wars runs deep, and his unabashed affection for the saga has woven its way through his life and work. Hear his story now!

Episode 26 – Ryder Waldron, DDS
Ryder Waldon, DDS. No, it's not a new dental crime mystery series (although it SHOULD be), it's the official title of one of the busiest men in the galaxy. Ryder is a dentist (of course), podcaster, DOUBLE blogger (for Coffee With Kenobi and The Cantina Cast), Star Wars fanatic, and all-around good guy. He wears many hats, and wears them all well. Jeff sat down with Ryder to discuss his Star Wars fandom, and how he is passing his passion for the saga on to not only the next generation, but the previous generation as well! (That's quite a feat, folks!) As an added bonus, we discuss which characters in the saga have the best teeth, and which have the worst. Check out Ryder's blogs here and here. Also, in a bit of accidental kismet, Ryder is also appearing this week on My Star Wars Story, another great podcast that you should check out here.

Episode 25 – Wayde Burton
Parental Advisory: When you hear a reference to Oola, you might want to make sure there aren't any tiny ears about, it gets a wee bit randy for a minute. Bantha Banter goes INTERNATIONAL!!!! This time out, Jeff chats with his new friend from Down Under, Mr. Wayde Burton! Wayde and Jeff met in person at Celebration Anaheim, and promptly started making fun of one another's choice of beer. Naturally, they became friends quickly. Sure, the first 20 minutes or so is all about Fury Road, but they get to the Star Wars talk soon enough, so sit back, crack open a Foster's and enjoy!

It's Matt!!!

Episode 23 – Jeremiah Stewart
I love doing this show. Every episode holds at least one surprise for me. This time, I was amazed to learn that my guest, Jeremiah Stewart of Bombad Radio grew up listening to the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back radio dramas more than watching the films. As a result, he has a unique take on the saga, and he was inspired by the recordings to produces his own radio dramas! This is definitely just a "Part One" for Jeremiah, we have MUCH more to discuss, and we cover a LOT of ground in this ep. Enjoy! And check out Jeremiah's podcast here.

Episode 22 – Ian Cory Drake
There are those who call him "Ian" and there are those who call him "Cory" and there are still OTHERS who call him "Tim" (not really), but Jeff just calls him "friend" (cue the "awww"). This time out, Jeff sits down with his former roommate and best friend AND Pilot Episode co-host to talk about what it was like living with a Star Wars fanatic for several years, and how he's introduced his son to the saga. Let the blabberin' begin!
86 minutes | Apr 29, 2015
Episode 21 – Tim Spaulding
It's time for another SWIC-tastic episode! This time around, Tim Spaulding, from Star Wars: In Character and Pass The Popcorn on Neozaz.com sits down with Jeff to discuss his work with the Nashville Music Archive, country music, and a little Star Wars as well. Tim may be the only person who makes Jeff feel inferior in the trivia department, so you can rest assured it's about to get extra nerdy up in here.

Memories of Marvin
In case you hadn't heard, MarvinDog Media had to say "see you soon" to their mascot this week. Marvin led a full life in a short time, and Taylor sat down with Jeff to discuss just how Marvin and Jeff came to be best friends, and to share some of Jeff's favorite stories about his furry buddy. Don't worry, it's not THAT maudlin, in fact, you'll probably laugh quite a bit. Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support and love in this difficult time.
