Adam and his wife Dianna started with just a few dollars with a dream to create great Pinot Noir. Siduri is now a respected leader in the Pinot Noir world, specializing in single vineyard wines.

Cindy Cosco of Passaggio Wines joins Roger and Donna to discuss her boutique winery Passaggio Wines. Cindy left a 15 year career in law enforcement to follow her wine dreams. With no promise of a job, Cindy moved from the east coast to Sonoma County. Starting in a liquor store, she moved to Chateau St. Jean for a temp job...and the rest is history.

Winemaker Stu Smith of Smith Madrone Vineyards in Napa Valley will share stories from his over 40 years of winemaking and life in Napa Valley. In May 1971, with a partnership of family and friends, Stuart Smith bought the ‘terroir’ which today is Smith-Madrone Vineyards & winery high on Spring Mountain. brbr Smith-Madrone remains a true craft producer, making only 4,000 cases of estate wine annually. The vineyards produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Riesling. brbr A visit to Smith-Madrone is a step back in time to the Napa Valley of the 1980's when the experience was much more personal and homespun.

Guests: Mark and James Blanchard of Blanchard Family Wines. Roger and Donna will explore the world of wine, current wine events and holiday wine planning. James and Mark will share their experience starting and building a family winery in Healdsburg, Ca. Mark and James explain how their love of wine helped the brothers to overcome their philosophical difference as they approached adulthood. Today, Mark runs the winery operation. James handles the business side while he remains an active duty Air Force helicopter pilot. Blanchard now creates award winning and high scoring wines. We will also learn about Blanchard's charitable activities, that are many and varied.

The Count will tell us about starting Buena Vista in the 1860's, early California viticulture along with the other exploits of his extraordinary life. We will also learn about the amazing restoration of Buena Vista Winery under the stewardship of owner Jean-Charles Boisset.

Alan gave up his career in public broadcasting in Minnesota to follow his wine dreams. He packed up his truck and headed to Sonoma County with few prospects. After taking a number of internships and winery jobs, he and his partner Serena Lourie, launched Cartograph in 2009.
