Christine Therriault-Merkel Joins Clifton Pettyjohn on TRANSFORMATION RADIO
Her credentials might not appear at all exciting through the naked eye. As Christine puts it, "I call myself an amateur expert because most of what I know comes from experiencing trauma and living through it". Christine is an advent writer, with most of her writings featured on the Medium platform and in church publications. She is a Lutheran pastor who is not afraid to speak about her personal experience with mental illnesses nor the stigmas attached to them. As a domestic violence survivor she was blacklisted by her Bishop; because she spoke out, which led to her and her family relocating to DE. Her new Bishop is an ally who not only supports her telling my story, he encourages her to do so. Christine is the mother of two children, a 20-year-old daughter who just finished her 2nd year of college/nursing school and a 17-year-old severely autistic son, who is non-verbal and needs to be monitored at all times. He was 3 yrs old when they received his autism diagnosis. This was shortly after finding out he had lead poisoning - the people who treated him at the told us they had never seen numbers as high as his. Racism played a big role in doctors initially dismissing the symptoms of lead poisoning because we were white, middle class and only poor, black children get lead poisoning. Christine is passionate about lifting up other women - especially women of color and trans-women. She can talk for hours about domestic violence, why misogyny (just like racism) is a cancer to the human race, and how we - as a society - need to face the realities of our illness and get the treatments necessary to heal.

Author June Trop Releases a New Book
June Trop and her twin sister Gail wrote their first story, "The Steam Shavel [sic]," when they were six years old growing up in rural New Jersey. They sold it to their brother Everett for two cents. "I don't remember how I spent my share," June says. "You could buy a fistful of candy for a penny in those days, but ever since then, I wanted to be a writer." As an award-winning middle school science teacher, June used storytelling to capture her students' imagination and interest in scientific concepts. Years later as a professor of teacher education, she focused her research on the practical knowledge teachers construct and communicate through storytelling. Her first book, From Lesson Plans to Power Struggles (Corwin Press, 2009), is based on the stories new teachers told about their first classroom experiences. Now associate professor emerita at the State University of New York at New Paltz, she devotes her time to writing The Miriam bat Isaac Mystery Series. Her heroine is based on the personage of Maria Hebrea, the legendary founder of Western alchemy, who developed the concepts and apparatus alchemists and chemists would use for 1500 years. June lives with her husband Paul Zuckerman in New Paltz, where she is breathlessly recording her plucky heroine's next life-or-death exploit. The author bio is from my website http://www.junetrop.com/authors-biography My pen name is June Trop, but I am also known as June Trop Zuckerman. I publish my scholarly work under the name of June Trop Zuckerman or J. T. Zuckerman.

Hearts of Faith join us for an hour of inspiration
Growing up in a Christian home, church was always a part of Donna and Brenda's life. It was "normal" to be at church on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and each night for revival services. Their mom had sung in their church's ladies' trio for many years, so they always loved gospel music. From 1982 to 2001, Donna and Brenda sang with their parents (then known as THE GOSPEL FOUNDATION). In 2001 parents, Bill and Eva, decided to retire from the singing stage. Donna and Brenda felt the call to continue with the ministry and completed their first recording as a duet in 2004, dedicated to their parents, entitled "Continuing the Legacy". Even though female duets are not typical for Southern Gospel, these sisters have proven themselves to be available to be used of God. Audiences everywhere are captivated by their dedication and, of course, the family harmony. They would love the opportunity to minister at your next service or event. http://www.heartsoffaith.biz/
