He’s worked with many of the iconic tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Yelp, to name a few, and he’s been involved in great tech companies like Internet Brands WebMD. He's passionate about advancing new ideas in technology and entertainment. He’s invested in A.I., SaaS, and backed movie and film production companies like Stampede, started by Greg Silverman of Warner Brothers, and Vivek Tiwary, Grammy and Tony Award winning producer of the Broadway show Jagged Little Pill. He started his career as an investment banker at Jefferies & Company, one of the world’s leading investment banks, where he rose from the “janitor” level of Analyst to head honcho Managing Director and Co-Head of all Digital Media and Internet activities. Join us this week:Roger  is a multidisciplinary artist who tells stories with text, music, moving graphics, dance, and interactive electronics. He has performed and exhibited with REDCAT, the YBCA New Frequencies Festival, CultureHub LA, Re-Fest, the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Aperture Duo, the Westben Performer/Composer Residency and the California Institute of the Arts. He has received grants and awards from UC Berkeley, CultureHub LA, SFCMP, and the California Institute of the Arts.Rogers current  research project is about modern Asian History, centered around the effects of Japanese colonization and US military occupation on Korea and the Korean diaspora. He is also working on a series of zines exploring this topic.
