APAG 115: Mark Heffernan Founder of Zingabrew, ‘Ginger Beer’ Explains Why We Need A Little “Zinga” In Our Drink
On this 115th episode of the Arlington-Prospect Advice Givers Podcast. Mark Heffernan of Zingabrew, a local Arlingtons Heights brewer of ginger beer, is our guest. Mark tells the story of how Zingabrew was born out of a love for ginger beer and a need to rise to a challenge. One day while enjoying some Moscow mules with friends, he actually read the ingredients of two of the most popular canned ginger beers. To Mark’s dismay, he found they contained a little more than high fructose corn syrup and added flavoring.  This prompted him to read the ingredients of the more expensive bottled options, still full with acids and gums. So a friend challenged Mark to make his own. Order Your Zingabrew The rest is what he call history… Zingabrew is sold locally in liquor stores, restaurants, and is a weekly vendor at the Arlington Heights Farmers Market. Mark’s insistence on having premium ingredients is what differentiates his product from other ginger beers on the market today. Zingabrew can be enjoyed in many different ways. It’s great by itself or it can accompany your favorite cocktail. It definitely adds a little Zinga to your life. Robb Zbierski, Co-Author, of the best selling book ‘Master Your Mind’ unleashes the training elements his company, Freedom Personal Development, uses to train their clients brains for success. Purchase Robb’s Book Here ‘Master Your Mind’ is the foundation needed for todays professional. The book puts its readers on a path to a better mindset for growth, time management, and goal setting. As author Robb Zbierski says, “we help people slow down in an effort to accelerate their growth.” Sounds crazy but its not. Slowing down by turning off all the distractions in our lives makes for a more productive day. What we feed our brains in todays hectic world is crucial for our success. Feed the brain garbage we suffer. Feed it high value nutrient rich information, we increase our productivity. In the interview Robb talks about winning your day. He says you accomplish this by feeding your brain the good stuff in the first 30 to 60 minutes of your day. You will have to tune in to find out what all that good stuff is. It’s a game changer if you commit. We also touch on the importance of how we should be speaking to ourselves. What we say we tend to believe. If it’s negative we tend to believe it and live it. Who wants that when you can tell yourself positive things? Believing is a big part of the battle. In ‘Master Your Mind’ we tackle the topic of the “Comfort Zone”. We all love comfort. Our brain craves comfort. This book guides the reader to end the dependency on comfort in exchange for the pursuit of progress. Comfort is a choice. We all have a choice. We are either growing/progressing or we are staying put in the zone we call comfort. This book will help break you out of this zone. Also, all you business owners/entrepreneurs out there, if you are looking for a coach, someone who can put you on a new path to growth and progress I advise you to reach out to Robb Zbierski.
