2083. Nearly twenty years after the first no-face birth, we meet 17 yr-old Oliver Crane. Living in the Cradle, a utopian compound in the Pacific Northwest, residents want for nothing. But more than comfort Ollie wants answers: answers to what has become of the outside world, a world ravaged by rising seas and rampant disease. Then comes Nya, a teen raised in the climate camps. Her arrival in the colony sends Ollie on a mission -- to meet and befriend the new girl, and finally get answers.
