Episode 19 - Rock Penguins, Ravens & Raccoons
Hey gang! Once again we are missing an aquariologist - but this time it's a different one! It's like a scavenger hunt for your hosts! But we substitute a guest this time, so the episode is a more normal length. Exciting! In this one we discuss the astonishing intelligence of ravens (and corvids in general), talk about some penguin action, and dive deep into the rambunctious, amazing raccoon life. Listen, rate, review, and above all enjoy!

Episode 18 - BONUS Q Episode! Quokka & Quail.
This one is a weird one, gang. It's a shorty, and only includes two of the aquariologists! Who is missing, you ask? Listen and find out! In this episode, your extant hosts discuss the wonderful world of the letter Q. We talk about the happiest animal on the planet and their infectious smile, and we discuss the quick and quaint quail with all of it's strange habits. Turns out Q is hard! This episode is more of a bonus, until we can return in full force with R! Rate, review, and enjoy!

Tune in for some laughs, some science, and some good old fashioned conservation biology.

Episode 16 - Owls, Otters & Opossum
Hey gang! This episode focuses on O animals - and we chose three species we all have personal hands on experience working with so it's a little more personal, and a little more sciencetastic! But not too far off the mark, because one of us also drops the term "bifurcated vagina", albeit in an entirely scientific biology of life kind of way. Such as only an aquariologist can manage! Highlights include bifurcated genitalia, owls and their multiple eyelids, otter cuddles, the science of playing dead and one brief but very earnest plea for help for science centers, aquariums, and museums the world over. Listen, rate, review and share!

Episode 14 - Two Lady Caps and One Fungi! (Also, Mushrooms!)
Fungi are not animals, this is true. But they are also not plants, and it gave one of us an excuse to make the most embarrassing pun of the episode title they could imagine! You'll learn who in the episode, we promise. In this episode we dive into some hardcore science, discussing the ins and outs of fungal species and what makes them unique and fascinating. We reveal a little bit more of our Nerd to the world, and happily embrace it. Major points include bleeding fungi, ruining the mythos of Mario (and our childhoods as a result), and talking psychedelic properties. Strap in, this one gets all scientific.

Also, did you know that kudu have 6 foot long twisted horns that get stuck in trees? Learn more by listening to episode 12! Episode 11 - Happy Fathers Day!
Happy Fathers Day everyone! This week we did things a little differently because we wanted to honor some of the best fathers in the animal kingdom on their special day. We included the top ten fathers, a few honorable mentions, and a special bonus of the WORST father in the animal kingdom. Because even a crappy animal dad deserves mention on this special day! Enjoy, and be sure to wish your own dad a happy Fathers Day!

Episode 6 - After Dark Special 1: Fireflies, Flaming Fish & Flatworms
WARNING! This one is explicit, gang! Welcome to our first After Dark episode - where we turn off the filters and kick the censors out of the building. We won't do these often, but they're going to be an occasional happening! In this one, we talk about flaming haws that are also fish, the intricate mating dance of the fabulous flatworms, and the different ways fireflies use their glowing butts. It gets a little bit wild, but our second guest star tries in vain to keep us on track!

We recorded this one as a double episode with number 3, so we're particularly tired and unable to express ourselves except through the randomness of comedy!
