A Podcast About the Wild World of Licensing
Hi, I’m Jennifer Pirch, and I created this podcast, Approved! after years of working as a designer and licensing manager for lifestyle and entertainment brands. Through design, I was introduced to licensing and became fascinated with it as a business model. I’ve become a licensing nerd. It really grabs my attention when brands use licensing to collaborate in crazy ways- like Crocs and Post Malone- who approved that?I created Approved as an excuse to reach out and get answers to these questions. On each episode I talk to the people behind the scenes, growing brands through unexpected but genius collaborations, consumer products, and experiences. I get their stories about bringing their ideas to life- and getting them approved! If you’re new to the licensing world, this podcast may teach you a little about using IP, or licensing your own. If you’ve been in the business a while, you should still stay tuned- I’m actively seeking out really unusual licensing stories that will jumpstart your creativity. My first interview is with Derek Berry, a founding partner of the experiential restaurant group, Saved By The Max. Derek launched a virally popular Saved by the Bell popup restaurant licensed by NBC Universal, but not in that order. Please hit subscribe and stay tuned! Approved will launch in April 2019, and I can’t wait to share these stories with you! Also, if you have a great idea for an interview, I’m all ears. Please reach out to me at email@example.com with your idea.A BIG HUGE thank you to Pleasant Pictures Music Club for the usage of their music! They write and produce the best music for podcasts and films, and we are honored to be using their tunes! Thanks for listening!
