Lisa Cron: The power of story for your team
In this episode, Ryan talks with Author Lisa Cron about her book, Story or Die, and about how the power of story can help your team! To connect with Lisa, check out her website, http://wiredforstory.com To buy the book, click here. To learn more about how to make your team invincible, go to www.evrgrnteams.com+++ Story Or Die:Whether you’re pitching a product, saving the planet, or convincing your kids not to text and drive, story isn’t just one way to persuade. It’s the way. It’s built into the architecture of the brain, and has been since early humans gathered around the camp fire, trying to figure out how to outsmart the lion next door. In Story or Die, story coach Lisa Cron sets out to decode the power of story, first by examining how the brain processes information, translates it into narrative, and then guards it as if your life depends on it. Armed with that insight, she focuses on how to find your real target audience and then pinpoint their hidden resistance. Finally, she takes you, step-by-step, through the creation of your own story, one that allows your audience to overcome their resistance and take up your call to action, not because you told them to, but because they want to.

You don't have to be THAT leader (Overcoming the Pioneer Paradox)
In this episode, Ryan & Alexis are talking about "overcoming the Pioneer Paradox." If you haven't already listened to our previous episode on the 5 Voices, you're going to want to go back and listen to that one first. But for those who are familiar with the 5 Voices, this conversation will be enlightening! For many people, there seems to be a burden to be a Pioneer. Pioneers are often the most visible of the voices and it seems that their visionary leadership sometimes puts them on a pedestal, while the other voices are left to aspire to be more like them. This creates lots of problems for both teams and individuals. Instead, each person should be free to "bring their gold" to the table, something that the other voices can't bring as well. So, let's look at what each voice's "gold" is and how they can overcome the Pioneer Paradox. You can learn more about the 5 Voices by clicking here. Eric Coryell: Create & Lead Accountable Teams
Invincible Teams, Ep50: Welcome back to the Invincible Teams podcast.  Today on the podcast, we are talking about accountability. On most teams, accountability works in one of two ways: either the leader is a micromanager who carries the weight of the team’s performance, or the leader doesn’t hold the team accountable and results lag and high-performing team members leave for greener pastures. But these aren’t your only two options! You can create teams where the team members hold each other accountable. My guest is author and consultant Eric Coryell. Eric has a short little book called Revolutionize Teamwork: How to create and lead accountable teams. Eric has been consulting on this subject for many years and has helped transform many teams and organizations.  If you don’t want to carry the weight of your team’s performance, staying up till 2am fixing something while the rest of your team sleeps…or if you don’t want to create a team where there is no accountability and you lose all your best people, Eric’s got some real wisdom for you today. Buy the book here: https://amzn.to/3nJ5e2QFind out more about Eric's work by visiting http://www.accountableteams.com Email Eric directly here: ecoryell@wi.rr.com Today’s podcast is sponsored by Evrgrn.
