This Sunday, 15th January 2023, we started our new teaching series on the book of Galatians, getting clear about the Gospel. We continued the New Year with a baptism service, on Sunday 8th January, which is always a wonderful occasion for us as a church family. We had the opportunity to hear the stories of three people and then to see them get baptised. The Great Invitation from our Sunday service, 11th December 2022. This Sunday we looked at the invitation to the shepherds, the wise men and Herod in the Christmas story. Living and Believing: The Apostles’ Creed – podcast 8. In this, the final podcast in the Whole Church Teaching series on the Apostles' Creed, David Faulkner leads us through the closing lines of the Creed, which declares that Christians believe in the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Perhaps, unless we are near to death, this can all seem rather abstract and unrelated to "real life", in the here and now. In fact however, what we believe about the future is crucial to living faithfully as followers of Jesus in the present. And there are so many misconceptions as to what Christians believe about the future, a careful and close look at what the Creed has to say to us is vital if we are to maintain authentic Christian confession. Living and Believing: The Apostles’ Creed – podcast 4.  In the fourth in our Whole Church Teaching series on the Apostles' Creed, David Faulkner takes a look at what it says about Jesus, namely that He is "Jesus Christ, God's Only Son, our Lord, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary". These are all familiar words, perhaps, but what this podcast seeks to show is that in what the Creed declares about Jesus, we are taken into the heart of some of the greatest mysteries of the Christian faith. Tim Barton spoke on Isaiah 55 at our Sunday service, 23rd October 2022.  “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters”. This chapter is about God calling his people to stop putting their hope and security in things which do not satisfy and instead to seek him and find their hope, purpose and peace in Him.
