All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #8
In this special, non-traditional-format episode, Ben and I go on the road in October for the sports segment to Chi-town (Chicago, that it) during the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs playoff series, talking sports and politics. Also, for the month of November, during which we celebrate Veteran’s Day (also pronounced “Vet-rans Day”), we interviewed a man by the name of “Biker Dan,” a recipient of the Silver Star Medal. This recorded remote segment is dissected as we pay tribute, honor and respect to Veterans of our Armed Forces.

All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #7
In this episode, we launch the show by going live on Periscope, expecting to draw a huge crowd and broaden the podcast’s audience, only to draw in one viewer who mistakenly clicked on our broadcast thinking it was actually a couple of shirtless Chippendale dancers… sorry to have disappointed you, live viewer. Ben introduces some real and made-up Crazy News Stories. I think I caught him off guard, so he scrambled to give some fake news headlines, but eventually came up with a real one. We near the end of the six-episode-long “Rocky” series, talking about the Rocky V film. Things go bad quickly when during the “Letters from the Alphabet” segment, we stop the podcast recording session because Ben’s efforts to diet, yet still drink large quantities of alcohol, lead to less-than-par podcasting. I pick up where we left off some weeks later, determined to squeeze out another episode. After reintroducing a different letter from the alphabet, I talk “shit.” A new segment entitled What the Earl? is presented – random, stream-of-thought audio clips. The Funny or Not segment deals with religion, holidays, and lying to kids.

All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #6
Dubbed “the musical episode,” we begin by listening to a few classic love songs, but keep the concept of “love” real and less romantic. Also, early in the show, we play two outtakes recorded just hours before at a nearby bar where performed a local country talent, Kaily Hubble. Ben and I comment on her performance and the quality of pre-mix Long Island Ice Tea cocktails. Keeping with the theme of music, and reaching back to our early song-writing and production days, I perform live (acoustic guitar, voice) a song that Ben and I wrote some 18 years ago. Drago, a 261-pound, 6-foot five, Vanilla Ice look-alike is a big match for Rocky, and we are now deep in the series, talking about the 1985 Rocky IV film. I share a recorded song called “Perfect Harmony” that I wrote for a contest (piano, drums, voice). The winning Cubs and our training Colts are topics of the sports segment. Finally, we ask each other some general questions about the podcast (we’re still looking for answers) and I play “The Sleeping Song.”

All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #5
We start this episode talking about the recent GOP debate and Crazy News Stories (real headlines, fake stories). We also continue the six-episode-long Rocky series, talking about the 1982 film, Rocky III. For the Letters from the Alphabet segment, Ben introduces the letter “F” and we take it beyond the “F-bomb.” The Funny or Not? premise deals with mutual agreements, rules, trusting others, and safety in general. Finally, Ben and I listen to audio clip highlights from our first four episodes including: funny sayings, foul-ups, Billy the Banker, our first interview lighting round (Ready, Set, Goat!), and if / how the podcast has improved.

All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #3
Ben and I talk about auto racing, specifically Nascar, specifically Jeff Gordon and the recent running of the Brickyard 400 in Speedway / Indianapolis. The Letters from the Alphabet letter is “W” as in “George W. Bush,” or plain ole “W.” In a new segment, Crazy News Stories, Ben reads real headlines and we make up the rest. Part two of our six-episode-long “Rocky” segment deals with second film from 1976 when Mickey tells Rocky that he’s a wasted talent. Also, is the fact that kids change your life (i.e. mess it up) Funny or Not? More PC ’99 audio clips are presented along with retrospective commentary. Ben and I talk more about his film idea for “Billy, the Banker.” Finally, we listen to a Spanish version of the popular 90s, alternative rock song “Tomorrow” by Silverchair.

We listen to and comment on more funny clips from the PC ’99 Spring Break adventure, like bonging young babies “like one beer.” Ben talks sports (Caitlyn Jenner, Cubs, Colts Training Camp). This episode’s Letters from the Alphabet letter is “K” for “Kid Rock,” along with discussion of the Confederate flag. A new, six-episode-long segment series is started called “Rocky,” about, yes, the Rocky films. Is “marriage equality” Funny or Not? We also talk all things vegan. All-Star Comedy Podcast: Episode #1
Ben and I begin show reflecting back with audio clips from our first Spring Break experience in 1999, featuring Ben bonging the entire FBI like it was just one beer! We also talk about how some 15 years ago, when I bought the recording equipment, we were messing around back then with audio and music and “Bendo,” the rapper was born! Had we kept that up, who knows where we would be now? It’s never too late pick up where we left off back in late 2000. The first Letters from the Alphabet letter is “T” for “tits.”Funny or Not? is a segment during which I share unrefined stand-up material / joke premises, we talk about it, work the premise from different angles, see how it may be adapted, improved or whether it’s even worth keeping. First idea = “Shit-faced soap bar / shower joke.” Billy the Banker movie ideas are shared: like farting into the drive-up teller tubes. Donald Trump for President?
