In this episode, he shares a bit of his history and his involvement at Hayes Barton UMC, from being a Stephen Minister, choir member, Scattered to Serve leader and bible study participant. What Is Stephen Ministry? Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system. These congregations equip and empower lay caregivers — called Stephen Ministers — to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. Stephen Ministers receive valuable training on listening, gaining insights, and providing emotional support for those in need. Hear from a Stephen Minister who also became a care receiver.
