On the 2nd episode of First vs Last, we go back to a simpler time when everybody agreed that Nazis were bad and worthy of punching.  Chris and Kimberly join Vince to discuss the film history of everyone's favorite whip-wielding community college professor: Indiana Jones! We'll look at the much beloved Raiders of the Lost Ark and compare it to 2008's Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- which if you ask the internet, was the worst movie ever made! Also covered: Reddit's top fan theories, which panelist's dad REALLY wants to be Indiana Jones in real life, and was Crystal Skull doomed to be a hated film from the start.

We're pleased to announce our newest show: FIRST VS LAST! FIRST VS LAST covers long-running music and videogame franchises by discussing at length the first and most recent entries of the series. FIRST VS LAST seeks to answer questions like: How have characters, storytelling techniques, and plot points changed over the years? Did the series change focus over its sequels? What series mainstays were there from the beginning, and what was added over later entries? Our first episode covers the long-running Mario Kart videogame series. Vince and special guest Cody start with 1992's Super Mario Kart (for the Super Nintendo) and compare it to 2014's Mario Kart 8 (for the Wii U).   Listen as Vince and Cody are surprised to see how much of the Mario Kart formula was right there from the start (like the lightning bolt, Lakitu saving you when you fall off a cliff, and freaking Rainbow Road), and what things went away and came back (picking up coins on the track)! Along the way, they cover when the pesky blue shell was added, when the battle mode stopped being a major focus, and the rise of online gaming. Also, they talk about their favorite kart racing games that sprung up in the Mario Kart wake (Diddy Kong Racing: Yay! / Star Wars Super Bombad Racing: Boo!)! Now, Dylan and Scott have booked a meeting with Hollywood's movers & shakers to pitch a feature length version of DAY OF THE INVASION for a new generation. This is their planning session before they meet with the fabled "Pitch Room."

In honor of Father's Day, our panel of expert parents share the TV and movies their kids love that they hate.  Join us for a cathartic episode where our parent friends unload on how much they hate Caillou and Thomas the Tank Engine and Toodles! Sometimes we hate how the main character is a whiny brat.  Sometimes we hate the premise of the whole world wondering things like Why is a science teacher relying on his 4th-grade students for lesson plans and how can Caillou's family afford that house on a single income? Also, to balance out all the negativity, our panel explains the things they do like and the things they wished their kids did like.
