All Access Coaching Podcast S01E13 How the Wing T Puts Defenders in Conflict
How the Wing T Puts Defenders In Conflict and Calling Plays Off If-Then Statements The Wing-T offense has withstood the test of time.  It is not just a formation or a collection of plays.  It is a system that uses Look-A-Like backfield actions and blocking techniques to put defenders in conflict.  When run correctly, the defense is never right because the Wing-T uses the defender’s techniques against them. This podcast explains how the defenders are put in conflict by using a sequence of plays.  Every play in the sequence attacks different parts of the defense on every single play. Rick Stewart goes through all 5 families of the Wing-T to also show that play calls are based on defensive reactions instead of down and distance. Rick Stewart has been a high school head coach for 18 years and has used the Wing-T to take four losing programs to the playoffs.  His 2019 team rushed for over 6,300 yards in Pennsylvania.

All Access Coaching Podcast S01E12 Alignments of Front 6 in the 425 Defense
Alignments, Reads, & Techniques of Front 6 in the 425 Defense One of the beauties of the 425 defense is the divorced front concept.  The 4 D-linemen and 2 Linebackers are completely independent or divorced from the back 5 defensive backs.  This podcast talks about the unique alignments of Rick Stewart’s READ & REACT 425 Defense. The four down linemen in the READ & REACT  line up head up in 4, 0, 4 technique alignments.  Although they initially are lined up the same as a 3-4 defense, their reactions, and techniques are the same as a traditional even front once the ball is snapped. Rick Stewart has been a high school head coach for 18 years and has used this defense to take four losing programs to the playoffs.

All Access Coaching Podcast S01E11 Play Action Pass out of TEXBONE
PLAY ACTION PASS OFF THE TEXBONE POWER OPTION This 2020 Podcast features Joe Austin, a college head coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.  He is the inventor of the TEXBONE, triple option for the 21st century.  It is a marriage of triple option and spread using traditional option schemes out of non-traditional option formations.  The spread formations force the defense into predictable alignments but the TEXBONE is unpredictable to defend because every play could be spread or option-based. This podcast Coach Austin goes over the Play Action Passing game of the TEXBONE offense.  He gives a 15min summary of the entire offense, then covers the full and half slide pass protections.  The four playside pass concepts are FLOOD (using Waggle blocking); QUIK FLOOD (reading the CB), DIG, QUIK DIG;  Austin then moves on to downfield shots: DOUBLE POST, and wraps up with backside isolation routes.

All Access Coaching Podcast S01E09 Three Levels of RPOs
MACATTACK 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Level RPOs Jason McManus is a 4-time state champion in South Carolina and inventor of the MACATTACK Air Raid RPO system. It is a no huddle, fast tempo based offense with heavy emphasis on the QB run game. This podcast will break down his three types of RPOs.  The 1st and 2nd Level RPOs are post snap run-throw concepts using an out of the pocket QB who is running the ball while reading a 2nd level defender for the routes.  This can also be applied to the zone read or counter runs, basically applying triple option principles of reading a down lineman while controlling a secondary player with a route.   There are also RPOs ran inside the pocket.  There are 2nd Level post-snap reads that have the linemen blocking the run game up front with the QB throwing an RPO route off a 2nd level defender. McManus’ 3rd level in-pocket RPOs are throwing the ball down the field off corners or safeties.

All Access Coaching Podcast S01E01 - Early Spring Football
What Are The Two Things A Football Coach Must Do After Christmas Break? Christmas Break is Over.  Equipment collected, awards have been handed out, so now it is finally time to fix your playbook.  Right? WRONG! If a coach is not focused on the things listed in this podcast in January, February, & March, then the playbook doesn’t matter.   Coach Stewart has turned around 5 losing programs, taking all of them to the playoffs in Year 2.   0-24 to 8-2;   1-19 to 6-4;   0-27 to undefeated league champs.   First playoff win in 110-year school history.   And this was all in California without ever coaching a scholarship player.  Stewart went to Pennsylvania and has a 21-3 record after only 20 wins in the 7 seasons prior. These turnarounds were NOT because of Pistol Wing T or 425 defense.  They were because of taking care of the Weight Room, Leadership, and Team Building during the spring.  Coach Stewart lays it all out, step-by-step on this podcast, which is one of a two part series.
