Daniele Bolelli: The Loneliness Epidemic And The Importance Of Human Connection
When is the last time you called your friends? In this episode of the Align Podcast, Daniele and I talk all about the loneliness epidemic and how little it's talked about amongst men in particular. We discuss how we should rebuild the foundations of our society in order to make it easier for people to express themselves and release their emotions and how physical communication varies between cultures. Human contact and connection are the foundation for health and well-being, but our society is currently in a deficit of close human relationships. Have a listen to find out how we can change the narrative! Daniele Bolelli (born January 11, 1974) is an Italian writer, university professor, martial artist, and podcaster based in Southern California. He is the author of several books on philosophy, and martial arts, including On the Warrior's Path. Known for his writing since the 1990s in Italy and the early 2000s in the United States, Bolelli rose to greater public prominence in the 2010s, beginning with his appearances on popular podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience. Blu of Earth: Exploring The Human Experience And Finding Your Self-Worth
In this episode of The Align Podcast, Blu and I talk about some of the deepest and most meaningful aspects of the human experience. We discuss how crucial it is to learn about emotional intelligence, non-violent communication and self-exploration. Blu also tells us about her experience with hearing loss and how that played into feelings of loneliness and insecurity. She expresses how important it is to become aware of one’s powers and learn to love ourselves for who we truly are. We also delve into our relationship with fear, how we perceive the world and the shift in consciousness within our society.  Blu is a highly entertaining and engaging storyteller, activation artist, podcast host and the co-founder of Florescence – a modern mystery school for women. She has dedicated the past decade to her understanding of the medicinal nature of the plant kingdom, as well as the archetypal nature of the collective unconscious, so that she may enter into the shamanic realms of transmuting suffering into liberation for everyone she comes into contact with. Her name is an acronym meaning Beauty, Love, and Unity – and it is her life's work to anchor these frequencies into Earth by creating media as medicine. Blu’s genius is born out of her journey with hearing loss, which has taken her to places of deep listening within her being, which has gifted her access to sensory perception beyond the 5 senses. However, her brilliance lies in her ability to keep her feet rooted into the Earth so that she can bring us these golden truths of beauty, love and unity in a way that is playful and authentic. 7 Life Changing Lessons From 2022
Here's a simple list of my biggest lessons from 2022, consolidated down to 20 minutes and 7 lessons. Happy new year!   Exercise generosity (like a muscle) daily - what you give comes back multiple-fold Practice compassion for yourself and those around you daily - without it you’ll always feel like a guest in your own heart. Create space daily to listen deeply to your internal self as well as those around you - everything you need is with you now. Intimate relationships are of the most powerful and sacred forms of deep healing work. If you choose to lean into them and are courageous enough to open your heart, it creates space for the oldest and stickiest contractive patterns from the past to be integrated and released. Your relationship is to be deeply honored, respected, and nurtured daily if you care for it to be fruitful. Take actions daily to develop self-respect and trust in yourself - do the hard things, and habituate yourself to excellence. You are only as strong as your team. Invest in people - hire a coach, therapist, mentor, etc. and nurture the relationships of those you work with. Your business is a garden, you get out of it exactly what you put into it.  Love your family - this is a part of loving yourself as you are a continuation of them. Life is too short and beautiful to live behind walls, lean into vulnerability and allow yourself to be seen by those you care for most.   Join me (and 2000+ others) for the "5-Day FLOOR SITTING CHALLENGE" on January 5th for a chance to win an Ice Barrel ($1200 value) and learn 5 ways to get up and down from the ground, 5 ways to effectively sit on the ground and connect with other mobile weirdos! Shaun T: The Difference Between Gay And Straight Relationships, Defeating Gender Roles And The Best Sex Advice
Have you ever felt like you couldn’t be yourself because of what other people would think? In today’s episode of Align Podcast, entrepreneur and health motivator Shaun T tells us all about his experience growing up and raising children as an openly gay man. We discuss the difference between heteronormative and queer relationships and the lack of education surrounding the subject. We also talk about the issue with traditional gender roles and how those can affect our romantic expectations. If you also want to hear about the benefits of therapy, discovering your erogenous zones and how to stimulate them, you won’t want to miss this one! Shaun T is a world-renowned health and fitness motivator, entrepreneur, TV host, and creator of the best-selling fitness programs INSANITY, HIP HOP ABS, FOCUS T25, INSANITY MAX:30, CIZE and SHAUN WEEK, and TRANSFORM:20. His latest mega-hit, LET’S GET UP!, was Beachbody’s most successful launch in history, amassing over 1 million views in 30 days. Shaun has hosted several primetime TV series and shared the stage with Adam Lambert and Val Kilmer in the musical version of the Ten Commandments, as well as landing roles in Pippin, Applause, Six Feet Under, and the feature film Beauty Shop. A native of New Jersey, Shaun T received a B.A. in Health and Exercise Science and a minor in Theater and Dance from Rowan University. He’s danced with Mariah Carey as well as Aaron and Nick Carter and choreographed for USTA’s Arthur Ashe Kids Day, the NCAA Final Four Halftime Show, and the movie Bring it On: All or Nothing. Through personal appearances, live classes on Beachbody On Demand Interactive, his workout programs, his many self-development courses, his podcast Trust and Believe with Shaun T, and his best-selling self-help memoir, T IS FOR TRANSFORMATION, Shaun T is focused on affecting positive lifestyle changes in people around the world and proving that becoming the best version of yourself is attainable.
