Coz Green is a host of Coz TV and the Coz Green Audio Experience podcast. Coz is an experienced narrator of Audible and iTunes audio books.. His motto is to “live an extraordinary life and be the best version of you”. As we move out of 2020 and into 2021, boy do we need a reminder to do this. Coz says we need to tap into your superconscious, diving, your God, etc. to look outside of yourself to accomplish great things for yourself and for humanity by coming together and thinking of “WE”. Moving into a new year means people are wanting to go through some kind of transformation. Since weight loss is big on people’s lists, Coz talks about how his weight loss was coupled with mental health. Coz discusses his three suicide attempts and “divine intervention” that prompted him to realize his purpose and appreciate of life, even though it was a long road of recovery. He says that when we get out of our own way and figure out the “why”, and with consideration of others, he knew he could reach his potential. He says we are our worst enemies and critics so getting beyond our own fears, we can have a much better life. Coz talks directly to those listeners who are at the bottom like he was, giving them hope for living their best life. Depression, suicide, and medication did not hold him back. Healing, a change in mindset, pursuing mental wellness and surrounding him with positive people helped him transform into the person he is today. Prateek Sureka is an Innovation Specialist who works in the intersection of policy, technology and innovation, consulting governments to develop Smart Cities of the future and leading teams in the Uk, India, Canada and United States. His vision for the future is to support climate change where we cut out carbon emissions and get rid of economic disparity. We discussed some innovations that incorporate interesting robotics and tech. Singapore, for example, has robotic police, in the form of robotic dogs, created by Boston Dynamics that help to regulate how far apart people are social distancing. A dystopian future is not out of the question with these types of advancements so using caution is more than necessary. Shows like Black Mirror demonstrates how this kind of tech may go awry, though we humans can explore ways to safely incorporate tech into Smart Cities. There is a trade off to living in these kinds of cities since it can be costly. We also discussed data privacy and what people are doing to advocate for policies around security. Some questions we address: What is a Sidewalk Lab? What systems in a smart city will be affected? What training should our youth get now to adapt to the future job market? What has to happen in order to see smart cities as a reality? How long will this take? When will 5g get here and how will it shape the future of tech? What jobs should our youth prepare for?
