Pickles the Crime Dog & the Case of Stolen Victory - Acid Cat Spirit Hour Ep. XXXVI
In 1966 in London, the World Cup Trophy, at the time the Jules Rimet Trophy, was stolen from a stamps exhibit during church service. The job was a professional one, and the trophy would elude authorities for months. Englands legendary Flying Squad was tasked with tracking the trophy and bring her home, but it would be instead uncovered by Pickles, a local sheep dog. While Pickles was able to enjoy minor fame, the trophy was on borrowed time, only to be once again stolen 13 years later in Rio, having still yet to resurface. In this heist story rife with familiar tropes, was it two separate jobs, or as we may have discovered, was it all one big plan by Pickles' owner, David Corbett, to have the fanciest salsa bowl in the UK? Find out today y'all.

In 1492, Columbus Sank the Ocean Blue - Sinking la Santa Maria | Acid Cat Spirit Hour Ep. XXXIII
Despite what the history books might say, Christopher Columbus was a loaf and two bit ding dong who bit off way more than he could chew with his conquest to the East in 1492. The most persistent issue plaguing him throughout the year's journey would be the cursed ship Gallega, renamed Santa Maria, that would eventually sink, leaving him stranded and beginning the whirlpool Columbus' life would become, leading to his timely demise. Much like the Koor I Nor Diamond that we've covered in the past, or even James Dean's Little Bastard, the Santa Maria was seemingly cursed, causing death and pain well beyond her sinking off the coast of Haiti on Christmas Eve, 1492. Find out all about it today with Caleb & the Colonel y'all!

Mr. Beast of Gévaudan - Hyenadons, Werewolves & the World's Most Dangerous Game | ACSH Ep. XXXII
In the three years between 1764 and 1767, the French countryside in Gévaudan was terrorized by a series of ghastly murders and violent attacks that many thought were the doing of a supernatural beast. Leaving it's victims beheaded and throat-torn, the longtime suspected perpetrator was a wolf-like creature, but was it that simple? Years of hunts commissioned by then King Louis XV led to dozens of dead wolves, but just as many dead ends. For a creature alleged to have been killed at least twice, we think there might just be more to the story. Did the beast exist at all, or was it just a cover for a serial killer, or maybe a team? Find out all that and more today.

The Stars at Night are Big & Bright - Lubbock Lights, Levelland & Project Blue Book | ACSH Ep. XVIII
Today we are talking about the Government coverups, and just how bad the USAF is at the job. Project Blue Book was an intelligence gathering mission to log all major UFO/UAP sightings in mid-century America. A few of the most notable cases were in northwest Texas in the 50s, and that's what we want to focus on today. From repeated sightings by trusted academics, to an entire town of 10,000 witnessing the same craft, including 15 identical 911 calls, the Air Force's Men in Black did in fact show up to investigate, but they weren't secretive shadow figures pulling strings, but instead incredibly bold in their ineptitude and equally brazen with their laughable conclusions and cover-ups. Join us today as we talk aliens and roast the Air Force, just like they do in the Marines.

Cloudy With a Chance of Sky Meat - The Kentucky Meat-eor Shower | Acid Cat Spirit Hour Ep. XXII
Right around noon on March 3rd, 1876, the skies over Mud Lick, Kentucky filled with falling chunks of meat. Some claimed it was a sign from the Gods, others took it home and cooked it for dinner. A local hunter said he reckoned it was bear meat, but a local butcher said it wasn't anything he'd ever had, and a fancy New York Times writer claimed it was the remains of an alien fallen to Earth. Officially said to be the result of several vultures disgorging themselves before flight, we don't think that math lines up with witness accounts. Find out all about it today y'all.
