The Next Gen campaign has finished its first stage and that was receiving the pledges. Now it's time to begin trusting God to pay those pledges. In this show, Pastor Rock looks back on the last six months of the Next Gen Faith Campaign and then on to the future to discuss the attitude the church family must have if those pledges are to become a reality.

BELOW IS A REPORT FROM A LOCAL MEDIA OUTLET ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTION THE CHURCH HAS MADE TO THE HEALING OF THE RACIAL DIVIDE IN THEIR CITY: ************** Reverend Ron Higey, who came to the church in 2004, says the church just wasn't moving forward for some reason. Higey says he wanted to understand the 'sins of the fathers' in order to find what could possibly be holding the church back.  Back in 2015, the church hired a consultant to look into the church's history. The consultant told Higey the church's original name was the Birmingham Gospel Tabernacle. It was located right across the street from the Greyhound Bus Station. Higey says in the 1950's the pastor of the church took strong a strong stance against corruption in city government. For some reason during the rise of the Civil Rights Movement, the church gave into a 'spirit of fear'. Higey learned during that time, the church would not allow Dr. Martin Luther King to attend and worship.He also learned that there were some members of the Ku Klux Klan apart of the church congregation. "I don't know how strong it was but if you have armed men greeting Martin Luther King at the door that's not a good sign," said Rev. Higey. Read more . . . In this first part of a Transforming Conversation with Gregg Hughes, Pastor Rock Dillaman examines the issue of tolerance and intolerance. Many consider Bible-believers to be intolerant of others, but Pastor Rock disputes that claim, pointing out the fallacy of tolerance where absolute truth is concerned.

Starting Sunday, February 4, ACAC's Sunday service schedule will be 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30. Pastor Blaine joins John to talk about the reasons for the change on this edition of Ministry Beat.

ACAC just completed a successful Year End Plus giving initiative and Pastor Rock joins John to share his thoughts on Year End Plus and what 2018 holds in store for the church.  

In his Transforming Conversations broadcast, host Gregg Hughes asked Pastor Rock to expand on the concept found in Ephesians 1:13-14,  "When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory." Last February, Pastor Rock's and Karen's daughter Shannon passed away. In this pre-recorded talk for the Transforming Conversations program, the host Gregg Hughes asks Pastor Rock what he thought the holidays would be like without her. Pastor Rock's candid and transparent responses are sure to help anyone facing the holidays after losing someone they love.

ACAC has had effective oversight for many years, and Enzo Santilli has been the treasurer who has been at the head of that ministry for 20 years. Today, Enzo joins John to talk about the budgeting process at ACAC and what he expects as we enter the new year with a focus on campus expansion.

Pastor Rock joins John to talk about fasting, year-end giving, and other topics of interest to the ACAC church family.

ACAC just enjoyed a fruitful missions month, amd today Pastor Glenn Hanna gives a report of the month's activities and a vision of what's ahead for missions at ACAC.

On Sunday, November 5, ACAC held its kickoff meeting for the Homestead church plant project at Loew's Theater in the Waterfront. The turnout was fantastic and there is much excitment around this initiative, and today Pastor Sheldon Williams joins John to talk about the first meeting and the plans for the official launch.

Pastor Blaine has a burden for the work being done in the nation of Gabon and has personally visited there three times to encourage the medical missionaries and pastors there. He led a team last August back to Gabon, and on today's show he updates us on what he did and how things went.

Sheran White is a seasoned short-term missions traveler, having been to Kenya seven times. This past summer, she led an ACAC team to Mexico where she not only led the team but she also had a chance to minister to a group of widows there. Today, Sheran joins John to talk about the trip, and what was like for her not just to go as a team member, but also to lead and speak.

October is the annual missions month at ACAC. Today Pastor Glenn joins John to talk about the month's activities and why this is such an important strategic month for the life and work God has assigned ACAC.

The church bylaws require that an annual meeting be held to inform the congregation of the church's financial and spiritual condition, to elect new officers and leaders, and to answer questions from the members. This year's annual meeting was held this past weekend, and Pastor Rock joins the show today to talk more about what was presented at the annual meeting.

Long-time member Tim Daigle recently joined his wife Elizabeth on the ACAC staff to provide direction and oversight to two important areas of ACAC life, namely music and student ministries. Tim joins John today to discuss what it's like to make the transition from the business world to the world of the church, and then to give us some updates from the areas over which he now has responsibility.  

Pastor Marv Nelson is entering his fifth year of ministry on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Marv joins John today to report on how the school year has begun for campus ministry and what the plans are for the year in terms of outreach, discipleship and worship. Marv also has a special personal project he is working on, and will tell us all about it.

The state of the world today requires missions work that is creative and recognizes the need for caution and care, Today Miss M joins John to talk about how she is responding to God's call on her life for missions in accordance with the Great Commission: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  

Christ Wilson is working in the ACAC Communications Department for a few more weeks, and recently went with Pastor Blaine to Gabon for the ACAC-sponsored Field Forum. Today, Christi joins John to talk about her impressions from the trip and what God may be speaking to her about missions in her future.
