Back from Puerto Rico straight in to cold winter, school closing, and Christmas.

Halfway through our trip in Puerto Rico, Kalani is learning Spanish, and we get accepted to go live on a sailboat for a weeks in March.

We talk summer adventures and how this school year sucks

Kalani and I sit down and eat pizza with artist Billy Joe Michel and her two daughters Ava and Mikki.  We talk about the difficult conversations we need to have with our children about racism and how we can learn from this as parents and as humans.
